Calypso Boat and RV Rentals

My son and daughter in law rented two, 2 person wave runners for the day for her birthday. We were a little nervous about the LARGE cash deposit required, but we knew we are not hot shots and we would be safe with the vehicles. We were a little disappointed that several closer lakes were off limits for us to use the rentals but we figured they know which lakes are safer. So we went to Don Pedro. I, the 48 year old mother, was riding one of the runners when the power just cut out. Could not restart the vehicle so had to be towed in. We lost more than half a days time due to the trouble and the time to tow it in to shore. When they returned the vehicles, the owners refused to return the deposit. They also refused to reimburse for lost time. They assured us that when they had a mechanic look at the vehicle and prove it wasnt flipped over, we would get the money back. Two weeks later, they said there was evidence that the vehicle had been flipped so they refuse to return the deposit. At NO TIME was the vehicle flipped or submerged. I would never recommend you rent from this business as you have no ability to prove you did not damage the machine.
