Carr’s Cleaners

Expensive. $ 15.56 to get brand new pair of pants legs hemmed.

I have never had an issue with Carr’s cleaners. They are very kind and I think the prices seem reasonable. They have coupons every so often to help out too. I love the owners! They really care!

I always liked this place. For many, many years. Recently I left my clothing here in a group drop off. I did not check the tag as I left, because I thought it would all be fine. Like they always were. Then, I came back to pick up my order. One of the items was missing. It was a very nice item, not expensive, but nice. I know it was in the group. I went to pick up the order and it was not there. I asked twice, but they said they have no record of it. That is very surprising to me about Carr’s, and I am extremely disappointed. I will not go back until my item is found.

Expensive. I went in with several sweaters to be cleaned and only ended up leaving one sweater. Very expensive.

Ok, I don’t have too many clothes dry cleaned but this place is close to my house and decided to just go there. I’ve used Carr’s on three different occasions in the last 2 months waiting for it to get better. This last time has made me realize that I do not want to go back. The first thing I had them do was steam my wedding veil prior to my April wedding. They did a great job and I got it back the next day. Second I brought my wedding dress in after my wedding to get cleaned. They explained to me that wedding dresses are costly and they can not guarantee to get everything out. I picked it up 7 days later and it cost me $ 124 which I expected, the dress was mostly clean but they were unable to get some stains completely out. However what really angered me was that when I brought my wedding dress in it was in a david’s bridal garment bag that I had purchased from david’s bridal to protect my dress. When I received the dress back it was not in the garment bag and when I asked for it the lady said she didn’t have it but would call me if they found it, so far nothing. When picking up my dress I dropped off some other items, including a shirt that I had wore once and had a stain on, the lady said they could do a spot treatment on it. When I picked up my clothes the two other items were fine however the shirt with the stain on it had a tag that said that they did their best to get the stain out but couldn’t get it completely out without damaging the garment. After inspecting the shirt I was pleased to find the stain WAS completely out however there were two small holes in the shirt that were not there before! So that tag was a lie because they DID get out the stain and DID damage my shirt. Needless to say I will NEVER be going back to Carr’s.

They do a good job, but when you say you are open till 7pm why are the lights out and doors locked at 6:45pm…uhg
