Every time we come to Turlock we make a stop at Silvas. The carne asada tacos are to die for. I have been looking for an equivalent in the Bay Area and still haven’t found one. Silvas — can you please make it to off the grid in the Bay Area? I really think you guys would do great!

Yup, as the reviews state this is a very good Taco truck. They don’t skimp on the ingredients and they don’t compromise on the flavor. We’ve been here three times in three days already. So far the items that have tickled my fancy are the burrito supreme and the quesadilla supreme. Both come loaded with your choice of meat(and there is a plethora of choice meats to choose from) and veggies, beans, and just the right amount of rice for a good chew. The burrito especially is well wrapped and doesn’t leak or make a mess(a pet peeve). They also have vegetarian options(Dr. W are you listening?). My Taco truck of choice for now. Cash only. Tip: Order a coke(I know I know no one drinks them nowadays but just do it) … the bottle is cool!

Well what can I say being creatures of habits been coming here for my Taco fix for a while. While there food quality has gone down over the years,(size of burrito, quality of meat) there prices have gone up, and there’s no justification. They are also charging for extras which came free before. Maybe there rent went up, but there price for Burrito is 5.50 down the road on Canal you can goto Viva Taco bus, get better service, sit in a bus, which is temp controlled, and you pay 4.5 for the same burrito they also have better combo deals. I gave Viva Taco bus a try and believe me I was drooling from the mouth when the food came out.

Came here for lunch on a weekday. Food: I got a lengua and carnitas taco to have a fair comparison with the other two trucks. The lengua was delicious, flavorful and juicy. The carnitas was also very flavorful and a little juicier than Elvia’s but by as good as El Hidalguense. I got chips and salsa on the side for an additional $ 1.25. The salsas were really good. The green one had a great kick. I didn’t try it but I’ve heard really good things about their cerviche and my friend likes their quesadilla supremes better than Elvia’s. Location: I enjoyed their signs telling you that you chose the right truck. Overall, seems to have a wider variety of food than the other two trucks. Quality of he tacos about equal. Salsas maybe better but since I didn’t try the salsas of the other trucks on their own it’s hard to say.

Best Taco truck in the valley, I have been eating here since as long as I can remember. I always get the carne asada burrito supreme, my favorite burrito of all time! It is amazing! It’s a damn shame that we don’t have anything like this here in San Diego! I no longer live in the area but when I visit my family in the Valley it’s hard not to get my fat on and eat one everyday I’m there! …So I guess it’s good thing we don’t have these in SD after-all! :P

If the thought of Taco Truck doesn’t excite you, it’s because you haven’t gone to Silva’s Taqueria. Just plain great food. I always get the burrito supreme de pastor or de carnitas with extra jalapenos and pickled carrots on the side. And a classic bottled Coca Cola. Great grub. I’ve had the taco truck tacos in the past as well and they’re excellent too. (Not the most excited about the recent price increases, and I don’t think they can go much higher before I’d be expecting waiter service and air conditioning. But)

Don’t tell my regular truck by home. This truck by my work is superb. The meat was so very flavorful and the carrots are hotter than the jalapeños. Can’t beat truck prices. Holy yum!

Hands down the best Taco truck in the valley, I have been eating here since they were over on the tracks in the 80’s. I always get the tongue and head combo with extra limes and jalapeño a cold Mexican Coke and life if good. I no longer live in the area but when I visit I have one every night. The parking is easy and they are really fast at getting the food out. So even if there is a large line don’t worry you will have your food in five or ten minutes. It’s Mexican fast food.

My favorite burritos of all time! Burrito supreme con pollo con todos, no perro no gato. They laugh, then they make me the best burrito ever. I usually order multiple ones, throw them in an ice chest and share with my friends in San Diego who have never had anything this amazing.

Silva’s Taco Truck is probably the most well known taco truck in Turlock. They are always packed during lunch and dinner. So I suggest get there a little before lunch or dinner time. Unless you don’t mine the 15min wait… They’re burritos and tacos have a little bit of kick but they are super juicy and I love how they’re tortilla’s are really thick and kinda hard(sounds weird I know…) great place, great price, great food, I’d recommend it to anyone who loves Mexican food!

A line forms at Silva’s while the other taco trucks stand empty and while I don’t know if Silva’s is any better, it’s really good. Had the chile verde burrito this time, a big juicy burrito full of flavor. But with a squeeze of the lime of they provide, it’s amazing. My boyfriend had the tongue tacos, which were loaded with fresh cabbage, tomatoes, avocado and sauce. He said they were delicious.

I ordered carne asada tacos, as I do at all taco trucks. The meat tastes like it was cooked over and over almost tasted like ground beef cooked all day it was not good. I gave it another try and the same outcome.

This place is wayyy overrated. I had a chicken quesadilla, which lacked flavor and season. Wasn’t too satisfied with it.

This is my favorite taco truck out of all the trucks that I have tried. I have been here many times, so many in fact that they know what I want before I even order. My favorite is the regular carnitas burrito. The carnitas is excellent, just a bit of spice, juicy and very tasty. I highly recommend this taco truck.

Taco trucks here in California are like what hot dog carts are in New York. You find them in almost any corner. The tendency then is to think that they’re all the same. Silva’s however, is a notch above the rest, I think. You can tell by the lines it has. And it is only one of four trucks parked in a lot that apparently was made just for this business. The other three have all but flies waiting on the tables. Silva’s tacos are full of flavor. All the varieties are wonderful but our personal favorite is the Carnitas. And their burritos? Oooh! It’s the kind I’ve never had. They’re heavy on the meat and not on beans or rice. No more Mexican fast food chains for me! Silva’s is the real deal!
