Turlock Dog Park

First time coming here, there were gunshots in the park. I wouldn’t bring my dogs or kids here again.
That being said, the park has a playground for kids, a big field area, and the dog park. It’s divided into two sections — one for small dogs and one for big dogs. There’s a water fountain inside the entrance; no water in the dog area. Only one bench inside the large dog area.
There weren’t any dogs when we went.

A nice, open park with a lot of trees and shade, however, there was no one else here, human or canine. There are a few benches and one water fountain. The park is well kept by the city, but not all owners picked up after their friends.

This is a large dog park mainly covered in grass. From the parking lot to the dog park you have to walk a short distance on the cement path ;the dog park is open to dogs as long as they’re not a female in heat or an intact male. There is an adjacent park also covered in grass for small dogs. There is no water available for the dogs inside either park however there is a water fountain on the entry area part of the park where the dogs enter to large area. There is a small bench in both parks to sit and depending on the time of the day it could be in the shade. I came Saturday at 2 PM and there were no dogs in either of the parks.

What a great park for dogs lots to do and lots of area with fences to keep your dog inside and safe from running away

Similar to the Oakdale Dog Park, this is really just a couple of fenced areas inside the larger Sunnyview park where owners can turn their dogs off-​leash. The grass inside the fenced areas is very lush and well-​maintained (unlike the Modesto Dog Park). You will find trees, running water and separate areas for large and small dogs.
The location is a bit off the beaten path, making it is less crowded than Modesto or even Oakdale. When traveling north and south on Berkeley, keep in mind that the road may be closed for one block just south of Canal due to Turlock High pedestrian traffic.
