Great brunch! The grits were the perfect consistency, the black bean benedict was delicious, but the chipotle dusting was a little hotter than I expected. The service was great; I sat at the bar and avoided the Sunday morning line. Upon returning to Raleigh I discovered there is one here too. I would never have thought it was a chain.

Such poor customer service! They quoted us 45min to an hour, which was fine. After an hour, there were 6 parties ahead of us, and they quoted us at 20 more minutes. I highly doubt it would have been that short. We left. They seemed understaffed and food appeared very slow in coming out. No sense of urgency. Advice: overestimate time. Will not return.

Great place for breakfast… It can get very crowded but they are part of the no wait app which helps a lot… Occasionally they have seasonal items so you can experiment every now and then. The staff is very friendly for the most part and the view is amazing. Love it!!!

Another Broken Egg is exactly what to expect from a chain restaurant which specializes in brunch food. Everything looks and tastes standardized like it came from a delivery truck. I have been here several times and while the food is just ok, the atmosphere is wonderful. The view of the river is lovely. If it is not too hot, I would suggest asking for an outside table. The main issue with Another Broken Egg is the extremely poor service. I have had brunch here several times and at several different locations, and only at the Tuscaloosa location have I experience extremely slow, poor service and inattentive staff. If you are looking for brunch or breakfast in the Tuscaloosa area, I would simply suggest trying elsewhere.

I have been here for breakfast and lunch and they are both great! The bacon cheeseburger is really good here also the pancakes are! I love Another Broken Egg. Only thing I would change is how busy it is. It is never empty, you have to get there when it opens or you will be waiting 30 minutes or more to get table. It is worth the wait.

It’s the perfect spot for any brunch culture enthusiast! Their coffee is awesome too! Waffle sliders, and the Hey Lucy omelette are go tos.

This restaurant serves an awesome breakfast! There were 8 of us so a lot of the menu was sampled. Our waiter, Daniel, gave a glowing endorsement if the shrimp and grits and they were not a disappointment. They readily made substitutions without additional charge. We have already ascertained that there is Another Broken Egg near where we live in Nashville and plan to make that a destination for special occasions.

We are visiting from out of town and seen on Unilocal it had good reviews so decided to check it out. We waited about 20 min to be seated but it seemed to go by much faster as there is a nice river behind the restaurant that you can walk along and walk on the river deck. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We were traveling with a small child and our server even offered to bring out his food before ours came out(extra brownie points). We had the Crab Eggs Benedict and the Southwest skillet both were delicious. The place was also very clean. We will make this a permanent stop next time we’re in town.

I’ll start out by saying that my boyfriend and I come here every Sunday for our regular Sunday brunch and have never had a problem UNTIL today… I began to order my usual hot chocolate and after waiting about 10 minutes it came out. No whipped cream or chocolate sauce. I asked our server, Dawson: «Can I please have the whip cream?» After reminding our server 3 times and by the time I got it my hot chocolate was cold… Then, we ordered the sweet potato pancake, which we assumed was gluten free. I can’t have gluten because I’m allergic and once it came out I asked if it was gluten and he said no. THESERVEREVENASSUMEDTHATITWAS!!! So, we get the pancake and it was made from flour. Our server never asked if we wanted to exchange it for something else or anything of that sort. The check came. It had the pancake on it. I’m not one of those people at all that wants free things, but when there is something that you physically can’t eat not because you don’t like it but because your allergic than you should compensate or bring them something else. After asking, «can you please take this off?» Our server rolled his eyes and asked his manager. The manager didn’t bother to come over and ask us about what happened. Overall the is horrible service. I’m super disappointed with our experience today. Needless to say Another Broken Eggs’s service was a bit broken today. We usually have great service, because we LOVE the food, but today was not the day.

Best brunch in Tuscaloosa. We ordered the beignets and fried green tomatoes to start. Both were delicious! Especially the tomatoes which come with crab on top. It’s light and refreshing as an appetizer. For my meal I had the Blackstone eggs Benedict. The eggs were perfectly poached and seasoned. We ate overlooking the black warrior river. The wonderful food and ambiance make Another Broken Egg Tuscaloosa’s best brunch spot.

Literally I’ve only been here twice but I think it’s the best breakfast I’ve ever had in my life. 10⁄10 would recommend. Can be a long wait on a Sunday so prepare yourself.

We’ve eaten here twice and had great experiences both times. It seems that most of the bad reviews that have been posted on Unilocal relate to poor service. However, our servers were great both times. Yesterday our server was a young lady from Connecticut. She was very efficient, friendly and attentive to our needs. There was a long line when we arrived but we were seated in less that 15 minutes at a window table with an excellent view of the river. Two of us had pancakes and the others had eggs, etc. The quality and quantity was excellent. We will return.

The first thing to know about this restaurant is that it is extremely overpriced. Drinks such as mimosas are 6 dollars for a tiny glass and French toast without any sides was 10 dollars. It’s pricey but they do actually give you a decent amount of food. The wait is generally very long, the three times I’ve gone it’s been over an our wait for 3 people. The last two times I’ve eaten here, my friends and I have had rather unprofessional and inattentive waitresses. This may be due to the fact that I look rather young, which is always annoying since I generally get poor service at sit down restaurants for this reason. All in all, the food is good but overpriced. Expect a wait and don’t expect good service if your a college student, recent grad, or just young looking in general.

Order the shrimp and grits. Don’t get anything else because everything will pale in comparison. It’s not pescetarian-friendly as there were unexpectedly large chunks of delicious sausage links. The sauce that the grits are slathered in is delicious and guilt-inducing. The omelet was very average. For a place called«Egg Café», I was hoping the egg portion would be at least above average. It tasted plain. I’ve had better elsewhere. For as many ingredients that they put in here, I couldn’t taste much. The view is gorgeous. Every side of the restaurant looks fabulous. It’s probably the restaurant with the nicest view I’ve seen in Tuscaloosa so far overlooking the river. I’m jealous of all the people who live here and have this café to go to downstairs.

Another pleasure. What a great place to relax. We had a wonderful morning sitting, looking at the river and eating a wonderful meal. Everything was done to order and very flavorful. I had the Stan’s Mardi Gras omelette, it was made just for me. It seemed that way. My wife had the Belgian waffle with strawberries and whipped cream. I wanted to eat it also.

We’ve been to this restaurant several times and the service has always been poor. It’s in a nice location overlooking the Black Warrior. Staff are slow, they aren’t good at seating, refilling drinks, or sticking around to make sure your food is okay. The food is just okay overall. I’ve tried several menu items and most are quite bland. It’s pretty pricey. It’s also a chain and I prefer the one in Panama City Beach better.

We were in town for a wedding. The walls of the hotel were closing in on us. We were getting a little tired of making nice conversation with second cousins twice removed and that weird, goggle-eyed friend of the groom whose social skills were a notch or two below an electrical engineer with Aspergers. So a select few of us quietly tunneled out for brunch, and Another Broken Egg was where we landed. First thing’s first. Even though it was an off-week for Alabama’s football team, we knew that Saturday brunch would be crowded. So we called ahead. That doesn’t give you a reservation, but it puts you to the top of the list. When the eleven of us pulled up, there were hordes of people sitting around waiting for their table to be ready. So, for the sake of all that’s holy, call ahead. Especially if you have a larger group. On to the grub. The Bloody Mary was awfully good. We’re not talking Zing Zang with a garnish, but some kind of homemade recipe that’s pretty feisty. As in spicy. It’s got a wang to it, but it’s really good stuff. I recommend it highly. Second the food was delicious. It was not epoch-shattering breakfast fare, but well-made nonetheless. Service was prompt, cheerful, and unfazed about splitting a check for 11 diners among four ways. So, yeah, eat here.

I love getting a chance to eat here when in town. I say this because it is popular and on a crowded weekend the wait could be an hour plus. My recent visit, August 19th, did not disappoint. We say outside and enjoyed the view of the trees and river. Our sever, young dark skinned male, was friendly and a great server.(Sorry for the description but I wanted to acknowledge his great service) The omelet I ordered is perfect and I wish I had it daily! I has garlic and vegetables in it. The fruit was served on the side and since they serve seasonal fruit it was all good. I look forward to dining here in the future.
