I’m not picky, but I have a few basic expectations of a hotel room: — Bed made each day(even if not getting new sheets each day) — floor swept/vacuumed/mopped each day — surfaces cleaned — trash cans emptied — wifi works(especially if you have to pay extra for it) — room is free of insects/spiderwebs/etc — a «non-smoking room» shouldn’t reek of smoke. — a/c is relatively quiet — clean towels provided as needed We stayed here three nights for a visit to the UA campus. We weren’t expecting luxury by any means in spite of the price-gouging game weekend price of almost $ 100/night. But even with low expectations, we were disappointed. Of all the basics I listed above, the only one that was consistently met was the fresh towels, although even that didn’t meet expectations as the new towels didn’t arrive until 6pm and were carelessly tossed onto the unmade bed(two towels had hairs on them which made us question just exactly how«clean» they actually were). Moreover, the a/c in our room sounded like a 747 taking off when it kicked on. The room smelled like cigarettes the entire time. There were spiderwebs in many corners of the room and we spotted several beetles on the floor. The trashcans remained as is from check-in to checkout. It is possibly the worst hotel stay I’ve ever experienced, certainly the worst at this price! I do concede two things: first, I’m well aware that you get what you pay for… And second, they actually did«leave the light on» for us. If I had it to do over again, I’d have spent another $ 50−75/night to avoid the experience we had over the past three nights. We have never been so happy to check out of a hotel room.

Front desk staff looked she was being interrupted and bothered to have to check someone in. My non smoking room came with an ashtray. And the bathroom sink has cigarette burn marks all over it. Really!!!’ Room stank of cigarette smoke. Bedspread reeked of cigarette smoke. Floor sticky by bed– wonder when it was last mopped. Under the bed was totally gross, not just dirt but pieces of metal and what looks like possibly fingernail clippings. Sink water sprayed everywhere and there is no sink stopper. Vacuuming at 10 at night in next door room?! Couldn’t log on to internet, staff stated it was because of the weather, the sky is delightfully blue. Lots of noise outside. Lot of light coming in thru window at night. Bedside table had sticky all over it and ring marks from drinks. When was it ever washed? Worn out accommodations/furnishings are one thing and I find that acceptable in low-budget hotels.(I stayed in a perfectly delightful motel 6 a few days ago). The level of filth, sticky surfaces, gross stuff on floors, stuff splattered on the walls is not. 2 redeeming traits. The AC worked well. And the shower design kept the water from going all over the bathroom. When I spoke with the front desk staff this morning about the room, NO apology, just a we will talk to the cleaning staff. I have never posted photos of a hotel room before… And these did not capture what was under the bed or the questionable splatters all over the walls.

This is the nicest Motel 6 I’ve ever been to. The rooms are tiny, with faux hardwood floors, but they are clean. It’s a small hotel, so it’s rather quiet. It can be way overpriced during football season though. The pay as you go Internet sucks. Who still charges for Internet? $ 2.99 a day if you want it, and the signal is sort of iffy. Reasonably quiet. My door didn’t lock very well though. Still, they allow pets, and I will stay here again.

I don’t consider myself to be picky but I’d try the Super 8 instead. This place was pretty sketchy to say the least.

Cheap, no nonsense, and clean. That’s all I wanted. A/C broke down the second night I was there, but it wasn’t too hot. The big thing was it was clean! I stayed at another more-expensive hotel the preceding night that was dirty, and this means a lot.

I seen a baby cockroach. Nevertheless, the room was different in that it had hardwood floors throughout. The room was a little on the small side. Some of the lights did not work when a first got there and in the morning there was no power which was being corrected immediately. There is also multiple locations of food around with a Subway right next door.
