PYRO’s Fire Fresh Pizza

I’ve been to Pyros multiple times, and every visit has been consistent. The pizza and salads are made right in front of you with fresh, healthy ingredients, and the staff is always incredibly friendly. The atmosphere is great and I haven’t had a single complaint after several visits.

This place was great. The staff is so nice and friendly. It was refreshing meeting a staff so friendly and helpful. They created my pizza exactly how I wanted it and it was delicious.

I walked in. looked at the size of the $ 9 pizza and walked out, a lg pizza isn’t much bigger than my hand.

Been here several times and have had a great experience each time. The staff is super friendly and energetic and it’s a great atmosphere. My favorite specialty pizza is the pesto, least favorite is the southwest. The crust is soft yet crispy (but not burnt) which is impressive for an artisan oven fired pizza. Love the garlic and cinnamon bites and they have a great selection of beers. In a town with several pizza places, Pyros knows how to compete.

This place is great! Great pizza sauce especially the spicy sauce! Overall wonderful pizza!!! I recommend them to everyone wanting pizza!

Food was just average, and the portions are small (I’m normally not one to complain about portion size). The people working there weren’t too helpful. Although, the atmosphere was nice, like a Chipotle + pizzeria feel. My advice, try it once, if you don’t like it, never go back. I won’t be going out of my way to eat here.

For $ 8.30 you don’t get much. Go into this place knowing it’s a personal pizza, or if you’re trying to feed more than one they’ll be picking scraps. I noticed numerous people hoping they would go away with large traditional style pizza boxes and look dismayed when it’s a personal pie. In a blue collar and college town this kind of pricing really hits home. The line to order is kind of confusing because it doesn’t exactly direct you. Many people clustered at the front door. There are so many better pizzerias where you can get authentic pizza. The atmosphere is clean. The coffee drinks tasted very watered down, with store bought coffee. You get maybe an ounce or two of coffee, the rest being milk and nasty sweeteners. Employees are a little too enthusiastic, instead of having a natural approach. Overall, very underwhelming. Ingredients are fairly fresh.

Nice treat! The usual distinction between average and excellent pizza is the crust. This is a challenge with thin crust because it needs to be have a crispy veneer over a soft inside. The thicker the crust, the easier that is to accomplish, but with very thin crust such as at PYRO’s it’s not easy. But they pull it off. When you add to that the abundance of both traditional and new wave toppings available at the same price regardless of the number you pick, it’s a really nice pizza experience. I probably chose too many toppings, but that was on me; PYRO’s would have made it any way I wanted. They also have craft local and regional beers which made a nice addition. A lively atmosphere and super friendly and helpful staff made this a great experience.

I really love the food here and all those yummy veggies!!! The company must really be nice to work for. Every time I come here all the employees are so friendly and helpful no complaining or gossiping going on around here and a lot of teamwork. I love that! I love to sit here and eat while researching on my laptop with the free wifi!!! Thank you Pyros for existing. I needed you in my life!!! :)

Great atmosphere. This is a build your own pizza place and you can have as many toppings as you like. I enjoyed a pepperoni pizza with pineapple, banana peppers, and jalapeños. You can tell all of the ingredients were fresh. The pizza is fire fresh and made incredibly fast. While you’re there I definitely recommend checking out the restrooms. They have an automatic sink that washes your hands. A++

We really liked the atmosphere. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Everything was super clean and fully stocked. We love the «build your own pizza» concept for one reasonable price as opposed to paying for a one topping pizza and then being charged outrageously for each additional topping added. The pizzas were absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients. Highly recommended!

What a neat place to get you a thin crust fire roasted pizza. We stopped in here a few days ago to give it a whirl on a recommendation. Pretty dog gone good.
Staff was exceptionally helpful and eager to explain the process. Being a «build your own» pizza — the Italian version of Moe’s, I didn’t feel hurried or eyes judging you for what you got. Every question was answered and every need met by the staff.
The food was fresh and above average, which I like. $ 8 and they plopped a board down with the dough stretched and ready to go. The list of ingredients is numerous but it’s easy to say that if you can think of it on a pizza they will build it for you. I really liked that you could get everything on the bar if you wanted to, I didn’t but was tempted. It took all of 2 minutes to build and straight into the brick oven it went. Paid, sat down and with in 7 minutes we were eating.
Is this Papa John’s, Pizza Hut or Dominoes? Nope. This is a new concept to Alabama and I like having the choice. I will definitely add this place to our rotation of «I got a craving» restaurants so let’s swing in.

I’m always anxious about trying new places, but also like to give them time to work out the kinks. Pyro’s was exactly what you want from an express Pizza restaurant. I had the Ragin Hawaiian pizza. The pizza tasted great!!! I really liked the fresh jalapeño on the pizza; however, I wish the remaining ingredients matched the freshness. I understand this is a move to keep prices lower, but I would be willing to pay a little more for my pie made with fresher ingredients. Overall, the restaurant was clean. The employees were very friendly. And the restroom had really cool handwashing areas… I guess you would call those sinks… but they were so much more. For those of you who like soda variety, they have one of those mix-​your-​own Coke machines (I don’t like those… takes too long to get straight to my plain old Diet Coke.).

Just went to try the pizzas. Awesome, did a half and half and had plenty for my wife and myself. Great service, with a smile and a hello. We got the pizza to go and it only took about five minutes. Will definitely go back for a sitdown meal.

We enjoyed our first visit here tonight. The atmosphere and the staff make it very inviting. The food is amazing! We will make this place a regular for us!
