My favorite ice cream! Too bad it’s far away from me or I would go there more often!

The ice cream is maybe OK, but certainly nothing special. I find the flavor somewhat lackluster and uninspiring for farm fresh ice cream. quite frankly, I find the motorcycle ride to Rocky Point Creamery a more memorable experience than the confections they serve. Actually, I enjoy a pint Haagen Dazs much more – especially the rum raisin. And for the price, forget about it – stick with the Ben & Jerry’s or Haagen Dazs, in my opinion.

Your ice cream is mediocre at best and extremely overpriced for the area.

Stopped by here because of the Maryland Ice Cream Trail passport. I had a kid-size raspberry ice cream and it was delicious and not too sweet. The ice cream was creamy yet it was not to the point that would make you sick. I sampled a little bit of the chocolate ice cream from my son and it was very chocolatey. The service that we received was good and the cashier gave us the answer to the question on the passport.

This is right next to my boyfriend’s house so we have been here several times. I love the whole idea of farm fresh ice cream and wholesome ingredients. However, the ice cream itself in terms of taste is just ok. I’m not blown away by it at all, and the service is bad. The girls working there are always very rude and just stare you down like you’re bothering them by being in there. They never welcome you in or say«have a nice day», they just want you to leave. The ice cream itself is okay, not good or bad. However I like knowing that it is made with fresh ingredients, in small batches which is much healthier than say Coldstone Creamery. There is lots of parking, and it is quite beautiful in the spring and summer. It is very expensive. Overall, okay. But i never make a point of going here(even with it being so close) unless I am majorly craving ice cream. When I do go, I usually get the sweet cream with marshmallow and rainbow sprinkles.

Four of us went there for ice cream It was our first time. There was a long line and my mom was in a wheelchair. We put our 2 moms outside to save a table and went in to stand in line and get Ice cream. The girl handed us the ice cream and my husband took his and our moms outside and I paid. I got scolded repeatedly for taking ice cream out before we paid for it. I apologized but the discipline didn’t end. We paid $ 26 to be reprimanded. Ice cream was excellent, but really didn’t like being treated like that after standing in line and dealing with our two elderly parents.

Rocky Point reminds me of ice cream shops back in the Midwest, where shops have their own farm and tout for their locally owned milk and product. Pros: — Plenty of parking — Plenty of toppings for you to choose from(you can sample up to 2) — Intense creamy flavor, including sorbet — Tons of places to sit down and enjoy — Have local product on the go Cons: — Relatively expensive for what they are(~$ 4 a scoop on a sugar cone) — They don’t accept anything above $ 50 dollar bills — Only 2 sorbet flavors available Overall we enjoyed stopping by here on our way to Leesburg(and back). Though we prefer taking the ferry route, this is a nice detour on those days where we want to go down a different route.

They have really good ice cream and their soft serve is good. Price is also pretty good. We were on our way to Winchester Virginia and we passed this place. Eat dessert first, life is uncertain quote motivated us to eat dessert first before dinner. Their ice cream is also homemade!!!

I went on a random drive through the countryside and came across Rocky Point Creamery. So many flavors and all so delicious! Not the best ice cream I’ve had, but still pretty good! Fresh and homemade! Unfortunately, you can’t get the milkshake with just any flavor, just the basic flavors like vanilla, chocolate, etc. They also sell cheese and frozen beef from their farm. It’s in the middle of nowhere, but I’d return on a nice summer day for some yummy ice cream!

We went after a trip to the canal. I loved the flavors of ice cream and prices. The atmosphere was good. I am looking forward to going back in the warmer months.

Um… yum…trying to find fun stuff to do with these kids for spring break, Unilocal told me this place was great, so we voted YES to ice cream. It was only 25 minutes from Frederick down the beautiful country roads of route 15⁄340. We were there in no time. They had a fun playground for the kids that was made from converted tractors… so cool. We finally made it inside for some ice cream… we tried everything from sugar free vanilla with chocolate swirl to watermelon sorbet. Everything delicious. We ended up getting, watermelon sorbet, cake batter, banana pudding, coconut chip and cookie dough. All were absolutely delicious. It was so fascinating knowing that the cream they use comes from the cows that are just behind the building. So fresh and best of all… not overly sweet! Price was reasonable too… for 5 scoops/two with cones, I paid $ 20. I can’t get away with that at cold stone. Definitely a must try.

OMGOMGOMG; a fantastic creamery practically in the middle of nowhere. I literally just drove by it and had to do a U-turn when I saw the word ‘creamery’. And I’m glad I did! I loved the cinnamon, but the chocolate marshmallow wasn’t a slouch either. You’re only supposed to get 2 samples, so after my 2 scoop cup I walked outside and came back in, insisting that qualified me as a new customer. The server must have had a sense of humor since I got my 2 new samples — and I got another cup, this time with the caramel apple.

The ice cream is delicious! I had coconut which was so good, but I was with my family so I also got try their chocolate, mint chocolate chip and cookies & cream. They were all super creamy, but the coconut and mint chocolate chip were definitely my favorites. I only gave 4 stars because it’s pretty expensive, but I guess that’s too be withexpected ice cream that fresh :-)

Creamy delicious ice cream — yes. But where were the cows? From their web site, it looks as if you could visit the cows. There were none. Take that back, only one little calf in a pen behind the ice cream parlor(it’s a parlor not a barn). And the poor little calf was in the heat. I felt so sad for it. It was way too hot to be in a pen. And where was it’s mama? OH, and where was the field of sunflowers? Not there. Back to the ice cream. .. yes delicious. But I won’t make the drive to the country for ice cream that I can get here in town. Yes the ice cream was A-OK but we were looking for an experience to see the cows that make the cream. At least my granddaughter saw the baby calf. Overall Rocky Point Creamery was a disappointment.

This place is so country it makes Toby Keith look like a stock broker. This place is so country it has a policy against wearing shirt sleeves. This place is so country that you will break out in hives shaped like the American flag the second you walk in. This place is so country that if the 4th of July and Veterans Day had a baby, this place would make their baby seem like a bit of a commi. One bite of their ice cream and you will instantly understand why people like Alan Jackson and Garth Brooks exist.

My family and I visited Rocky Point Creamery because it’s the 4th stop on the 2015 Maryland Ice Cream Trail(#MDIceCream). According to the Maryland Department of Agriculture’s website, the Ice Cream Trail is made up of eight dairy farms across the state that produce and sell ice cream directly to consumers. For me, all you had to say was«ice cream» and I’m there! This place has a drive thru and serves much more than ice cream. I uploaded some pictures to see all the products they carry. My one note is they limit you to two ice cream samples. This is a great place to visit!

Checked out this cute little spot. Very busy for such a rural little spot. The store is shaped like a barn and is a good size. Homemade ice cream yum. Even the sugar cone that it was on tasted homemade. They also had soft serve. I had the mounds and strawberry and cream. The mounds was AMAZINGLY good. I would recommend this flavor hands down. I wish I would just have had that one flavor. The strawberries and crew, was good too but not the best I have ever had. They also sell meat, cheese, milk and ice cream pies. They had a baby cow in a pen outside as well. I am not sure if he is always there oor not, but my kids enjoyed seeing him.

Creamy and rich ice creams as most farms have, by using fresh milk. What makes it special is beautiful sunflowers. They are just located outside the store. So relaxed and enjoyed while eating our creamy mint chocolate chips ice cream! Also bought fresh milk there. Wish the farm will offer better vacuumed beef and lamb in future!

The ice cream here is absolutely delicious. It is rich and creamy and a much higher quality than what you’d find in the grocery store. The staff seemed friendly and let me sample a few flavors before I decided. if the prices here were more reasonable I think I’d be here twice a week. Unfortunately there is a hefty price tag for a teeny tiny scoop of ice cream. They also charge an extra 25 cents for a cone of a cup which doesn’t sound like much, but I find to be a bit stingy on principle. If it’s a special occasion and you are prepared to pay more, this is a tasty treat.

After an awesome bike ride on the C&O Canal Tow Path, my bike riding partner told me we needed to drive down the road to get some ice cream before heading back across the Point of Rocks bridge to go home in Virginia. LOVED Rocky Point Creamery. Excellent ice cream, warm friendly service, quick service, nice place. Based on my first experience here, I made a point to drive out ot my way to bring my family here on another occasion when we were driving back from another trip up north. Before driving out of my way to go there, I checked the website to verify their hours, and according to their website, they should have been open. When we got there though, we were disappointed to find the building dark and closed. I suppose that’s a risk with a small family-run place. So you might want to call and verify they’re open before going out of your way to drive over there.
