I’d actually been eye-ing Centro for a while so I was really looking forward to trying it out. Centro definitely didn’t disappoint. Both the food and the service were great. We went for an early dinner on a Sunday night and it wasn’t too busy. We shared the misto cheese plate($ 23) and the funghi pizza($ 12), which were both very good. The fig jam that came with the cheese plate was delicious. Our server was kind enough to bring us more of it as well as more ciabatta bread so don’t hesitate to ask since there’s plenty of cheese and meats you’ll probably need more anyways! I do agree with some of the other Unilocal reviews in that the prices are a bit on the high side. I think I’d come back more often if everything was slightly cheaper and ironically, when they first opened, everything was. There is a 10% discount from checking in on Unilocal though so definitely take advantage. Overall, I enjoyed my dinner at Centro. Did the food blow me away? Not really, but the food is solid and the restaurant’s definitely a nice place to catch up with a friend so I’ll keep it in mind for next time. It’s located in Old Town Tustin. Street parking only, but you shouldn’t have any problems finding a spot on either Main or El Camino Real.

I love the idea of a wine bar and micro brewery in downtown Tustin, so I was excited to try Centro. Being wine club members to many wineries in Paso we have pretty high standards for good wine, and Centro didn’t even come close. We tried most of their own wine, as well as their guest wines, and none were good. My brother who is a beer drinker didn’t like their beer either. The only food we ordered was the misto plate, basically cheese and charcuterie. It was ok, nothing special, and we didn’t feel it paired well with the wines. Overall, the Wine Lab or the Wine Gallery are better for wine flights!

Oh man, this place reminds me how good pizza is. I haven’t had good pizza in a while, to the point I don’t even crave for it. But this place is a must try if you like thin crust pizza like me! My friend got the spicy salami added mushroom to it and ask for spicy virgin oil. It is soooo good! I had the vegetariana pizza myself because I love arugula, it’s pretty good. But spicy salami was better. I wish the vegetarian pizza could have more raw onions if they do have that option. Also if you like lemonade, must try their Harney & Sons organic lemonade. I’d definitely come here again with friends or dates ;)

Small and cozy place for hangouts, wine tasting, pizza, and other food. If you have huge party, be prepared to wait a little. However, I would NOT recommend coming here because their staff will ruin your night out. Service: Waited 30+ minutes for my party of 4 to be led to the back after being told they’re ready to seat us. A tall waiter with blonde hair led us and immediately started taking care of other customers while we stood behind him. Do I sit by the counter next to those customers with the 4 empty chairs? I tried and was TOLDGETUPANDMOVE, because he needs to clean the counter. Now my party is standing in the doorway blocking the other servers and customers from walking, even though they’re «ready to seat us». After he cleaned the table and finally sat us down, he left and didn’t even ask us for anything to drink or any recommendations. TWOTABLES opened up behind us, so we asked one of the nicer waitress if we can move from the counter to an actual table. She was very accommodating and cleaned up the table quickly for us to sit down. As we started talking about what to order, the first waiter walked out and told us to STANDUPANDMOVE, because the other party at the counter was apparently waiting for a table first… ridiculous. There is ANOTHEREMPTYTABLEBEHINDUS with empty plates to be cleaned up. As a waiter, you should never disrespect your customers by rudely telling them to move if they’ve all sat. No excuses for the poor service and rude attitude for any business. Food: 1. Wine flight(~$ 12)– Set of 4 small wine tasting. Specific wine given for the flight. 2. Misto plate($ 23) — Meat, Cheese, Bread. All the essentials for wine and dine. You can ask for more bread as well! 3. Salsiccia pizza($ 14) — expensive personal pizza. Decent, but ask for some chili oil to add a kick to it.

A disappointing happy hour, I met up here at a tiny shop in old town Tustin. They have a small happy hour menu not a problem expect that they only had ½ their menu available everything was out of stock. Staff was friendly but not helpful I was looking forward to a wine flight but didn’t see it anywhere on a menu & didn’t get s chance to ask for one. Food was ok & wine was ok unfortunately this place didn’t leave an impression.

I met a friend here for lunch a few weeks ago. Centro is a cute little establishment in Old Town Tustin. They have a nice beer and wine menu. My friend and I decided to split a cheese plate and the vegetarian pizza. We each got a beer as well. The cheese plate was delicious with an assortment of cheeses and was a good size. For the vegetarian pizza we opted to pay extra for truffle oil to be added. Maybe we picked the wrong pizza, but it just didn’t excite me. It lacked flavor even with the truffle oil. Service was friendly and attentive. While the prices are probably standard to this style of eatery, it was a little overpriced for me. I most likely will be back especially to enjoy their cute patio in the back!

Wine is not bad, food is good and service is friendly. My family had a Mother’s Day lunch here, and we all enjoyed the restaurant for a few hours with chatting with humans, wine, pizza and others. Prices are reasonable. One of a few good ones I’d recommend in Tustin. It’s a cozy nice restaurant in old town Tustin.

3.5 Stars I was most interested in the cheese platter with the assortment of meats. It is not often I drink wine but with a variety of cheeses and meats i would. The restaurant is either owned by, or has an affiliation with, the owners of a winery in Palo Robles. The restaurant is cute and the out door patio is a surprise. There are a few grape plants growing and you kind of get a mini Napa vibe. I ordered one of the house wines, the cheese board and the Margherita pizza. The cheese board is huge and comes with grapes, meats and a delicious fig jam. The cheese and meats are not very flavorful and taste like the lower quality items you might pick up at the big box. or discount stores. This was especially true of the brie. They also bring out only a few pieces of bread and we had to ask for more. The figure jam was super good and I loved the olives. The pizza, wine and service were fine. Big bonus here… Unilocal checkin deal! Overall, I am almost. a fan. I wish I could pay a little more and get an upgrade for quality cheese and meats.

First time here and on a Saturday night! Small but cozy! Me & my husband sat in the back patio on the counter! We ordered the Beer Flight & the Misto! Service was great, food was delicious, beer was quenching and atmosphere was inviting! Honey Cream Ale & Black Horse Stout were awesome! We will for sure come back!

This place would’ve been a solid 4 stars had it not been for the super rude waiter. I came here with some friends on a double date looking forward to having a good time, sipping on some wine, and eating some yummy food! It just sucks when everything about the place nearly meets your expectations except crappy service that makes you never want to return again. It’s a small place– so you might have to wait some time which is completely understandable What is not understandable is when they tell you your table is ready, ask you to follow them to the back, and then ignore you for 5 minutes and rudely tell you to stand back while they make sure the table is clean. Okay yeah sure you don’t want us to sit at a sticky table– that’s great. But why didn’t you just clean the table before telling us everything was ready? Lack of communication or just overflow of stupidity? We finally sit for about 10 – 15 minutes with zero service or greeting while the waiter takes a smoke break. We are sitting at some bar type area in the patio which is pretty small and uncomfortable… Ok cool. Again, I understand you need a break but couldn’t you have let us know? An actual table opens up so we asked to move over if possible. Our waitress quickly helps us clean it up and tells us it’s ready! So yay finally the night started to turn around. Finally, we also get this awesome super sweet waitress come by to get us started on some drinks! Then the rude ass waiter comes by and let’s us know another group is waiting so we need to wait again for the other table to be cleaned. AGAIN we are super understanding. That’s fine. They waited first then okay let them have the table first. What I won’t stand for is being rudely talked to. We were already on edge and then he blames the waitress for not knowing they were waiting but he was on his smoke break and didn’t tell anyone so really– whose fault is it? His again. He continues to say things like«yeah REALLYSORRY but they have been waiting FOREVER» in the most insincere way. Alright first off we aren’t idiots– no need to exaggerate everything in such a sarcastic manner. We were going to leave had we not already placed our order a few minutes ago. We got the wine sampler– 4 mini wine glasses including the voigner, mezzo, complesso, and Rosso The last 2 were my favorites and the other 2 were blah. Not a huge fan of blends to be honest :/ We also ordered the misto, the margherita pizza, and Salame pizza! All the food was delicious and I’d recommend it :) the bread is delicious and our waitress even refilled it for us so that was great. Would I come back again? NO. While the waitress was excellent and food was good, I can’t go back risking having such a terrible experience again with that horrible rude waiter. Looking for a happy fun night out with some friends? You won’t find it here.

So glad we had the opportunity to try this place. My husband and I ordered the Misto to start, everything was great, especially enjoyed the proscuitto. The pizzas are like individual sizes. I ordered the Quattro Stagioni and my husband ordered the Margherita, both were pretty good. I just didn’t realize that the 4 toppings on the Quattro Stagioni would be separated, like per slice, rather than sprinkled all over the pizza. They have a really good coffee stout on nitro that is not on their menu, or wasn’t yet when we went.

In my eyes, Centro is doing everything right. A friendly, local spot with homemade pizzas, fresh ingredients, homemade ciabatta for their paninis, their own craft beer and even their own selection of wine grown in Paso Robles. Their menu is perfect for both lunch and dinner and they have daily specials in addition to their day to day selection. I am personally a huge fan of their arugula salad with fig dressing served with slices of their seasoned pizza bread. Their cheese and meat boards are the perfect starter if eating out with a group, and you can’t go wrong with their woodfired pizzas. They have a microbrewer on hand who can tell you everything you need to know about their craft beers on tap and is also an expert on their small batch wine. So glad this spot is near me, the perfect place to catch up with a friend and eat some great quality italian food and craft libations!

What a great neighborhood place. Centro has a good mix of friendly staff, really good food and drinks and location. First the staff. Greeted right away and very friendly. Even though it was busy we never had to wait for service during our meal. Second the food and drink. They offer a varied selection of beer and the sampler lets you try four different types. The espresso porter was especially great. They were out of two of the choices which means they sell a lot and quality is good. For the wine they offer a nice selection of many types and the Moscato was excellent. The food for me was awesome. The pizza had crust cooked perfectly and toppings very fresh. The four stars and not five was due to the bean salad my wife got. Very plain and seemed thrown together without a lot of depth of flavor. She ordered goat cheese on the side and it helped the salad tremendously. Also, the cheese plate was top notch and I would come here again just for that. All in all a good solid four stars and I will return.

I had such a pleasant experience here, start to finish! DRINKS: All the archaic brews are made here. I tried 3(honey crème ale, golden ace ipa, and the blue-sour) and all three were amazing. I would come back just to try more of the beer. And wine. Mustn’t forget the wine. FOOD: the panini was ok. But most turkey paninis are ok. We got it bc it was on the happy hour menu. The pizza, however, was so good! The crust was seriously perfect and they have this spicy olive oil that complements the crust, and everything else, wonderfully. Definitely must try a pizza here! They’re on the smaller side(but I’m not sure if it’s bc we got it for happy hour). We got a bomba for dessert, which is your choice of chocolate covered spumoni or peanut butter ice cream. Tis your average chocolate dipped ice cream(which can never go wrong). SERVICE: A+! Shoutout to Brian, who was our server for the night. He made us feel so welcome, comfortable and taken care of. Even though we stayed super long to talk, he never once made us feel rushed or like we overstayed our welcome. Such a genuine and friendly person! Everyone else was very nice too :) OTHER: there is a parking lot in the back of the restaurant with an ample amount of spots. Happy hour is from 4 – 6 on Mondays and 2 – 6 on Tuesdays-Thursdays.

Ended a chill Friday night with a tasty drink and canoli. We had an early dinner at a nearby sushi spot so this this was the perfect excuse for stepping in for an after dinner drink and dessert. This place has a laid back vibe perfect for winding down a long week over a house brewed beer, a glass of wine or with one of their delicious desserts. They also serve small bites which I will be trying next time I am in the area. Blake is a cool dude and knowledgeable with the menu. He recommended I try a few tastings before deciding on a beer. Also he, along with the rest of the staff, are social with a good sense of humor. Always good traits to have when dealing with guests. I had this placed bookmarked for sometime and am glad to finally get a chance to try it out.

My BFF from San Francisco came for a quick overnight visit on Saturday. I hadn’t told her I was getting married yet, so I told her when she arrived around 1pm. I knew she wouldn’t be able to come back for our impromptu wedding in less than two weeks, but was hoping she could make it to the reception in October. She could. But that wasn’t good enough for her. In less than 24 hours she lined up 10 of my friends and family members and made reservations at Centro for a surprise bridal shower. And surprised I was! I had never heard of this place, but I was really glad she chose it, and I know we will be back. Not only were they super accommodating of a large party, especially so last minute, but they were very nice as well, and the service was spectacular. They let my friends decorate the tables with confetti and stuff like that, it probably left somewhat of a mess behind, but they were so cool about it. This place is small and we took up about half of it. I was told there is a patio out back, but I didn’t see it. Not sure how much seating is out there. We had a couple Misto platters. I didn’t eat much of that, but what I had was great. For lunch we ordered pizzas and paninis, I tried the Margherita and Salame pizzas and they were phenomenal. Especially the Salame. I thought it was amazing and a couple other people commented it was one of the best pizzas they had ever had. Didn’t try the paninis, but heard they were really good. I had a wine flight. Super cute! All the wines were great as well, especially the 2014 Rosato and the 2012 Mezzo. We also ended up sharing a bottle of the 2012 Rosso, and it was delicious, very fruity and great for a hot day. This was the perfect location for my bridal shower. Can’t wait to return for more of that amazing pizza and some wine!

This is a great addition to the burgeoning old town Tustin scene. It’s a cute storefront location, with both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating consists of a porch located in the back of the space. There is also parking back there. Inside, it’s a bit small, with community bar-height tables and smaller tables scattered about. There’s a brewing space and a pizza oven, which was brought over from Italy. The beer is brewed on site and the wine is from the family winery that’s up in Paso Robles(aka heaven on earth). A great way to start is the cheese and meat platter, that is easily enough for 2 as a meal, and for 4 as an appetizer. The paninis are really good and fresh. The pizza is amazing and delicious. This is such a great place. Last night we were there and heard it described as the«Cheers» for the Tustin set. Every time we come here we meet great people, have great food, and have a wonderful time! Come check it out!

I was semi-impressed but also underwhelmed by Centro. The food was really tasty. For the most part, I enjoyed dining there. Service was up to par. But seems like that«little something» which makes a good place-great is missing. As for food & drinks: My boyfriend & I both had their Honey Klosch. It was alright. I didn’t hate it but I’d probably try something else next time. We had the Bruschetta appetizer($ 8) & Prosciutto Pizza($ 14). Both were good. Really enjoyed their spicy Olive Oil(served as condiments on the tables) Quite a few people around us were enjoying cheese/meat boards. I have to say they looked pretty good. But that’s really all I can say as we didn’t try one this visit. All together it was about a $ 40 visit, including tip. The size of Centro was very unappealing to me. It’s obvious that they tried very hard to work with the space they have. Kuddos for at least trying! Unfortunately, it was just cramped & uncomfortable. Their patio area is… well, a patio area. I love the idea of having a patio; however I’m not super fond of the breath taking view of their back parking lot.(not to mention the terrible chairs) Likelihood we will return-very probable. The food was good enough to warrant another shot, I think. We will definitely be trying a meat/cheese board & doing some wine tasting next time! Stay tuned for an updated review.
