Bait and Switch! I do not recommend using David Templeton. I informed him I had already had a Level 1 inspection completed and wanted our chimney cleaned. He agreed to clean the fireplace for $ 100. He did not clean the fireplace and demanded a $ 100 «service fee» for «inspecting» the fireplace (measured and took pictures). This was a complete waste of time and money. Look elsewhere for your fireplace needs.

You might think you are getting a good deal at $ 95 for this service. He came out, cleaned my chimney, seemed nice… but he didn’t secure my spark arrestor properly. A week later it was windy and it blew off and hit the ground. Thank God my dogs or kids weren’t below. It’s completely ruined and now I need to pay someone $ 189 to replace it. I am going to wait and give Dave the opportunity to make things right. I’ve left messages for a week now and he is not returning my calls. If at any point he does return my calls and helps me with this issue, I will remove this post. So if you are reading this, I haven’t heard from him.

Two days ago, I requested an appointment via this company’s web site, and have left two voicemail messages. I’ve not yet gotten a response.
If I can’t get a simple call back, then this isn’t the service provider for me. Shouldn’t have to work so hard to give someone my business.

We hadn’t used our gas fireplace in years. We’ve never used wood in it, but we thought that it might need cleaning. To err on the side of caution we called Dave. He was prompt on his appt time. He said it didn’t need cleaning, but he proceeded to check it out. He lit it to check the flame and arrange the logs for a more efficient fire. He assured us that everything was fine. Best part was, there was no charge. I will definitely recommend to all my friends and family. When I need service I will call Dave.

Just used Dave from OC Clean Sweep and am extremely happy with the results. I hired him to clean and inspect two fireplaces. He cleaned one fireplace and told me my 2nd fireplace didn’t need cleaning and just needed a fireplace cap on it and just charged me for the cap.
Total was $ 185 out the door. Very polite and extremely happy with this guy. Highly recommended.
