Brit is our server, started with the whites and the rest were reds. Very pleasant. Brought us fantastic appetizers and the wines were great — especially the last red — delish. Thanks for a great visit… This was a great trip — especially since they didn’t expect such a large group.

This was my first time here and I brought my sister and my friend from NE with me, we sat at the bar. Brit was our server and he was super friendly and fun to talk to while we enjoyed the wine, pita chips and cheese. He shared his knowledge of wine and cheese pairings and gave us some great ideas of local things to try out. It was such a neat experience and I will definitely be back… they are opening a different location in old tustin that will include brews in december of 2014! I cant wait to try that out! I highly recommend this place for a date night, girls night, or small birthday parties!

This winery is oddly in an industrial complex, about a two minute walk from my work. I went with some coworkers and we each got 6 pours sharing 2 cheese plates. The cheese plates and the wine were all fantastic! The vibe is very intimate and the wine expert was very eccentric, something I’d imagine is absolutely necessary. The only downside is that the pours are pretty small, which from reading reviews is because they don’t have an alcohol license. We got a little tour and some pita chips. An overall pleasant experience!

Did not have the same experiences as the other Unilocalers here. For $ 18, we got 6 pours and pretzel chips. Quite pricey and a less than stellar experience overall. The tasting menu mentioned nothing about cheese or other snacks. The pours were also extremely small. There’s a small private room that can seat 6. There’s 4 seats around the bar and a couple 2-person tables around. Overall, it’s a very small tasting room. The wines were so-so. Oh, there’s a small olive oil bottle that you can sample off to the side. The olive oil was rancid.

Their small room offers a comfortable setting for wine tasting. The staff was knowledgeable, pleasant, and provided completely unrushed and attentive service — it probably helped that we were the only ones there. What was especially fun was their monthly Open House: lots of friendly people, very friendly staff, snacks, and the honor-system on the wines! We left with their 2010 Rosso. We’ll definitely return for next month’s event. Just wish there were more tables/barrels/surfaces in which to place down one’s glass, in order to enjoy the snacks. Lots of fun!

I’ve never been to this location, but ordered a gift certificate online for some friends. I wrote a small, specific request for the recipients’ names to be added to the certificates but I received them in the mail today, name-free. It’s really not that big of a deal, but if I’m paying $ 50+ for a certificate, isn’t jotting down a few names the least they could’ve done? However, on a PLUS note, they do NOT charge for shipping the certificates to you.

I hosted my daughters 30th Birthday here in their barrel room. The venue is small but lovely. The table was set with beautiful fresh flowers and a fabulous arrangement adorned he buffet of wonderful cheeses fruit, bread olive oil and olives and chocolate. They me to bring I a lite luncheon for my guest and a cake. The wines are good and they offer a discount on purchase on the day of your event. The gentleman who poured for us was very knowledgable and explained each wine. I went home with a bottle oft he Zin myself. This is a family owned vineyard and winery they did a fabulous job at a reasonable price! I was very pleased and would highly recommend this local venue!

Great sandwiches, puts the sandwich place next door(bread basket) to shame and this place primarily does wine!

Just had a bridal shower here and loved how helpful and nice everyone was. Would definitely recommend for small private party. Major plus is allowing you to bring your own food. Saved me and the bridesmaids alot of $$.

My first time Wine tasting and it was a BLAST! The prices were quite good, wine tasting for $ 8 unless you buy a bottle of wine then its excused. It is small but def a family owned place. I bought the Merlot 2007 which i quickly fell in love with! I would also suggest trying their Olive Oil. absolutely incredible especially the red chili flakes olive oil. I would most def come back!

My friend and I finally got a chance to try this place yesterday. People aren’t kidding when they say this place is small! There is a tiny bar as soon you walk in with four chairs. Two people were already there, so we took the remaining chairs. The tasting is $ 8 for five wines, a small bottle of water, and an assortment of pretzels, pita chips, and crackers. I usually prefer whites, but I actually liked their reds better here, especially their Merlot. After we were done with the five wines, our server offered us other wines not on the tasting menu. I believe we tasted an additional four wines, plus he let us taste their fresh pressed olive oil, which he served with bread. I ended up purchasing a couple bottles, plus a bottle of olive oil. When you purchase wine your tasting fee is waived. I notice other reviewers mention they got to keep their glass, but that was not offered to us. Fine by me, I have way too many wine glasses as it is. Our server was very nice, kind of quiet, but fun to chat with. I will definitely revisit this tasting room again in the future.

Great wine tasting experience in the middle of an business area in Tustin. Talking about unexpected, uh? I’m glad they have a flag, if not it would be hard to find, specially for«orientation-challenged» people like me :) Pozzuoli Vineyard & Winery has good wines from Paso Robles. All their wines are mixed. Yay for mixed everything! Good creative mixes that go well with my palate. Of course I tasted and liked their reds the others I couldn’t care less, kinda meh for me. Brit was awesome, genuinly friendly and knowledgeable. Great customer service, good wines at a decent price, not so far from home, Pozzuoli is one of this solid safe place that I’d recommend without hesitation. Well I don;t know who would ask me about wines… I’m far from a wine expert(more like a wine enthusiast) but I really enjoy going there and yes of course I’ll be back! :) Recommended!

Cute little tasting room – they do have private rooms as well. Very cool, they take reservations too on their website. Now the wine… All of it was really, really good. It is a wonderful boutique winery from Paso and you can tell that they really take this stuff seriously. The guy there said that they threw out and entire batch of wine because they just didn’t like how it tasted. Although the thought of throwing out that much wine almost made me cry, it shows their commitment to yumminess. For $ 8 you taste 5 wines which will be waived upon purchase of a bottle and the bottles are very reasonable(18 – 24) –so you will! I loved them all and left with 4. It’s a little hidden in an industrial complex, but it is cute as hell inside and it gets my vote for best new winery/tasting in the area.

First I have to give a shout out to my Unilocal friend Sidney; his review of this place led me to book mark it and give it a try. My wife and I dropped in on a Saturday. I like the style of the tasting room but it is a bit small. Also the location is a bit odd. It’s in a business park off the 55. Not where I’d expect to find a wine tasting room. We were seated in a room off to the side. The tasting is $ 8 for five tastings, and we got a 6th tasting(the Hog Canyon) thrown in. I have to admit that I had not set my expectations high for this place but I ended up being surprise. Of the 6 wines we tasted, we bought 4(the Sauvingon Blanc, the Rosato(the first Rose both me and my wife have liked), the Insieme(my favorite) and the San Giovesese). What I really liked is the wines were really nicely priced for the quality of the wine. We are actually drinking the rose as I write this review. I am surprised that none of what we tasted had any Zinfandel given that the wines appear to be primarily sourced from Pa so Robles. I know the tasting room is small, but I love to see a Unilocal(unsanctioned/unofficial) event here. It’s great having a tasting room of this caliber in the orange county area, and I really would love to see this business thrive.

«In water one sees one’s own face; But in wine, one beholds the heart of another.» — French Proverb Who knew there was a Paso winery tasting room about a mile from my new house? Oh yeah, Dan H did who wrote a review about this place back in April :) Taking a far better looking Unilocal friend then Dan, I moseyed on over here one Friday to take in the scene. Of course being a Friday afternoon, we were the only ones in here. This was the third stop in a mini-tour of OC wine venues(Laguna Canyon Winery and Hi Times Wine Bar being the others). The tasting room employee was cool now and we joked that he chatted us up because he must have been desperately bored :) An industrial building location for a tasting room does not generate many guests I imagine on a weekday. The format is five wines for $ 8.00. They have a set flight… or you can order a la carte off another list. We mixed and matched, predominately reds. I liked that they do not have a focus on normal Paso varitals and have some interesting blends. I enjoyed, and purchased, the Bianco white blend(Viognier & Sauvignon Blanc) and the Sea Cellars Balboa Reserve blend of Tempanillo, Mouvedre and Grenache. There was also a blend with Primitivo that I really liked too but did not purchase. Tasting glasses are given away as part of the tasting and fee is waived with purchase. There is also a room we toured in the back for group events. Wine bottle prices are inexpensive for the region: $ 18 -$ 32. Just add a bacon store and chocolate facility to this industrial park and I may never leave :)

This is a small operation with some incredible wines. And, at $ 8 to try 5 wines, a good deal. Purchase a bottle and they credit the tasting fee. You also get to keep the glass. They have a couple of flights you can choose but, if you prefer reds(like me) you can mix. The wines are all Paso Robles sourced and have good body. In order, I got… 2008 Rosso(94% Cab, 5% Cab Franc, 1% Merlot) 2010 Insieme(40% Petite Sirah, 40% Sangiovese, 20% Cab) 2010 Hog Canyon Red(75% Primitivo, 25% Cab) 2009 Sangiovese(85% Sangiovese 15% Cab) 2009 Balboa Reserve(not theirs, but from the Sea Shell Estaten a neighboring winery. 45% Tempranillo 45% Grenache 10% Mouvedre) They also threw in their Petite Sirah to round out the reds. Ended up taking home the Sangiovese. And a smile.

I am giving this little wine tasting room in a typical OC biz park an extra star for the awesome service. Its only been open a week, but they already have the hospitality thing down. The owners son Alessandro met us at the door with glasses at the ready. When he told us the tasting was $ 8 for as much as we wished, I replied that he may want to rethink that bold offer(**Update: that was an opening week special**). Sorry that I was short on time to put it to the test, although the tasting card states«5 – 6 wine samples.» They do kick back the $ 8 with a bottle purchase($ 18 — $ 24 ea). The space itself is very warm and comfortable albeit a little cramped. There is a small room off to one side that would be useful for a private party. A very small private party. According to Alessandro the wine is from the 7 acre family owned vineyard in Paso Robles. Our 5 tastes included a white, a blush, and 3 reds. All are blends, but even the blush exhibited decent complexity. Nothing wimpy here, and the high alcohol content is partially to blame(thank?). Nicely crafted wines in the old family style wine making that I love. Not award winning Napa Valley quality, but more than drinkable. Definitely a welcome addition to my work hood. Good luck with your new venture Pozzuoli family. But consider my suggestion to give up some of dads spacious office to lend some extra space to the tasting room. Just sayin…

Pozzuoli, a family winery in the Paso Robles, just opened a tasting room in Tustin. The site is not sexy – it is in a small business park – but the interior is warm with a tasting bar just inside the front door and a display of imported goods which is part of a side business owned by the family. Barrels have been brought down from the vineyards and bottling takes place at the Tustin facility. I sampled a variety, but tend toward the reds. The Rosso($ 18) is their main red and had a smooth taste, even with a slightly higher alcohol content(14%). I also enjoyed the Hog Canyon Red($ 24) and bought it as a gift. That sound like a funny name for a wine but the winery is near Hog Canyon Road. A friend who joined me, who has studied wines, gave their selection solid marks. Since this is not tied to a restaurant and is in a business area, it will be interesting to see where visitor traffic comes from. For now this might be an ideal place to visit with a small group of work friends and have your own little wine bar event late in the day. The location, just south of Edinger, is easy off the freeway and close to the District so it might be worth a stop in on the way to another event. This also might be a good option for a small catered event if doing appetizers and wine. I don’t know what plans they have to support that so you might give the owner, Enrico, a call to see what can be managed. Because there was a good sized crowd at the opening the back storage room with the barrels was used to house the crowd and barrels were used as stand up tables. While being in a «storage room» might seem odd for an event, the high ceiling and more open space worked. It also allowed for an easier flow of people from front to back in the space.
