This place is flat out the best liquor store in the area. The craft beer and whiskey selection is incredible and very well organized. Even if they don’t have what you want, John will order for you in a heartbeat. He’s also very educated in every category of liquor. Great store, great selection and amazing customer service.
PS…cheapest prices in town by a long shot!

I dare you to find a liquor store in the socal area that stocks Colonel EH taylor single, small, & rye at the same time.

As someone who considers myself a connesuier of beer, it’s hard to find store’s with as good of a selection as «SoCal Wine and Spirits». More importantly, they also have some of the best/​fairest prices around! GREAT BEER with GREAT PRICES, what else can you ask for?! If you love beer, come here.

I was checking the mail and going through all the junk to see if anything didn’t need to be recycled, and I saw a flyer for this place. I normally just buy all my booze from Total Wine or Hi-​Time Wine Cellar in Costa Mesa, but I decided not to reflexively toss it.
After I looked it over, I saw that they were advertising WL Weller, which is never in stock at Total Wine. Furthermore, it was a buck cheaper. I figured at the very least, I’d pop in, buy a couple bottles of Weller, and the trip would be a success.
As my nav led me closer, I remembered that there used to be a liquor store here before, some ghetto liquor mart that I could see from the drive through at the KFC, but never entered, because I figured they’d have the same selection as the Albertson’s 20 feet away, only $ 5/​bottle more for everything. I was hoping that it was not just the same place, only with a new sign.
And it wasn’t, thankfully! All the lights worked! Gone was the aura of potential stabbings! The place is sort of laid out like Hi-​Time. Standard convenience-​store/​gas station shelves that are all stocked with booze. As you walk in the store, it’s cognac (?), Whiskey, bourbon, tequila, vodka, then rum.
I pored over the bourbon section to find the WL Weller, but… None! NOOOOO! I asked the owner, John helpfully went to the back to restock for me. YESSSSSS! I browsed the beer selection in the fridge and found that it had some Clown Shoes Pecan Pie Porter, a brew which I’d been trying to find at Total Wine, but never had. (Decent stuff, btw.)
Friendly staff, no having to wait for an attendant to look up prices/​stock in a computer, good selection, and decent pricing. If you live in the area, I definitely recommend the place, or call ahead to see if they’ve got something that your big chain isn’t carrying.

I am so impressed with the new ownership at SoCal Wine & Spirits. «John» is a super guy. Very friendly, helpful, & knowledgeable, What they’ve done with the place inside & out is great! I’ve enjoyed watching the all the upgrades transpire. What a difference the new owner has made — like night & day! And their pricing is so reasonable that I no longer have to go to 3 other places to make my purchases. One stop & I’m done.
I’ve been spreading the word to friends, family, & neighbors. Also, I’ve been asked by employees that knew me at the 3 other places I used to go «Where have you been? Haven’t seen you in awhile». I let them know that SoCal Wine & Spirits is my go to shop now & that I get better pricing there with friendly service every time.
