Came from the renn faire and stopped on the way home for dinner. Saw generally positive overall Unilocal reviews so we went here. Pulled in… Looked like a dive bar. Still held to the positivity of the Unilocal reviews. Clam chowder was watery, my daughters grilled cheese was way worse than the ones I make at home(edges were crusty and the cheese wasn’t even melted… I pulled it apart and there was uncooked cheese on each side). Pickle chips and everything fried for that matter was over-greasy. Pot stickers and buffalo wrap were decent. I managed a bar for a number of years… The lemons in my drink were clearly refrigerated from the prior night and while the waitress was nice, for us being literally the only people eating. The food took forever. I would say just go for the beer… But the place was almost pitch black around the bar and again, we were the only ones there at 7pm on a Saturday.

So great! Food was amazing and so was the service. Came here with my girlfriend after hiking all day and couldn’t be more pleased.

Dissapointed. Ordered the pot roast. Gravy was jelly like, it rasted awful, mashed potatoes that needed a knife. Companion had pot roast sandwich. He didnt like it, lot of grizzle… When waitress saw I barely touched the food she asked if I wanted to take it home. I said«no this is not good at all, not eatable» No one even offred to discount the meal. Bad way to treat a dissatisfied customer. Wont be back

For a place that at first had that«dive bar» appearance, we were thoroughly impressed with the food, and their seasonal Pumpkin Ale and Freaktoberfeat beers. The fried cheesecake is to die for, and the mozzerella sticks were made to perfection — as silly as it sounds, I’m incredibly selective about my mozzerella sticks. Our server was attentive and friendly as well. A great place to stop!

A fun, locals-fave joint. I was impressed with the depth of their menu and came away well-fed with their generous portions. Service was genuinely friendly and attentive.

I was on the fence between 3.5 and 4 stars but I appreciated the prompt service since I was vaguely concerned about missing my 6:40 train back to Hoboken. Then again, being stranded for three hours until the next train would have given me lots more to write about. This seems like a locals place, and not too many of them on a late Sunday afternoon. It’s possible that I’ve never ordered chicken cordon bleu in a restaurant and I was curious to see how this retro dish would compare to the microwave version. This was a stunning large entrée with an appealing cheese sauce, the health effects of which I could justify since I just went hiking. The mushrooms were a nice touch(I can’t speak to whether mushrooms are a standard part of chicken cordon bleu, but they weren’t in the microwave ones.) The steamed vegetables weren’t too memorable. And the salad gets a split decision — while the tomato and cucumber count was minimal, I was pleased to see that the salad seemed to be an iceberg-free zone.

Great grub. Crispy fries, excellent burgers, and the nachos were wonderful. Beer selection was well rounded, and the pale ale was lovely. All in all an excellent experience with friendly service and great prices!

We were driving to get away from the city and we stumbled upon The Tuxedo Inn for a late lunch. Food and service was great. The burger was well made and cooked perfectly. The Mediterranean Tower was also very good with lots of high quality fresh cheese.

The Tuxedo Junction Inn is one of my favorite restaurants. My husband and I eat there at least once a month and always bring visiting friends and family there(all of them have enjoyed it, too!). We’ve tried almost everything on the menu, and most dishes have been excellent. Their Mediterranean tower, loaded nachos, eggplant parmigiana, burger, tomato basil soup, chili, brownie sundae, and carrot cake are some of my favorites. However, my absolute favorite are their fish tacos. They’ve been on their regular menu for a while, but their Thursday special is $ 2 tacos! They always have new items on the menu and specials nearly every night. They feature live music on the weekends, including the acoustic magic of Dave Dowling every Friday night. He plays a variety of songs, including ones by James Taylor, Tom Petty, John Denver, and Neil Young. It is always pleasant and never too loud. Just as important as good food, the service is always wonderful. They are all friendly, helpful with questions, and are willing to make dishes that are not on the menu if they have the ingredients. Overall, the Tuxedo Junction Inn has great food, service, and atmosphere.

Not impressed. Food beyond burgers was totally boring and flavorless. Salad bleh. I don’t know how anybody could make a boring putanesca sauce, but they did. My kids thought the french onion soup was tasteless– and the burgers were like hockey pucks, which made only my mother happy. Not going back.
