My family has vacationed here nearly all my life. We have our fourth generation of lake lovers that visit during the summer. The snack shack is one of the things we look most forward to. Tony and Elfi remember us each time even though we only spend a week there at a summer. The food is always satisfying and served with a smile. We LOVE the chili cheese fries, with house made chili. We are never in a hurry, enjoy chatting with the employees and having sno-cones while we wait for our lunches. Their milkshakes are rich and creamy and their burgers are great! Hoping they add cookies to the menu next July! If you’re ever at the lake make sure you stop in for a snack!

The Snack Shack is a welcome and convenient establishment at Twain Harte Lake. Serving Shaved Ice Cones & Softee Ice Creams for the kids, and tasty burgers, chicken sandwiches and a great assortment of other comfort food menu items for the family. The staff is friendly and obviously work hard, especially when the lunch rush happens. Beat the line and order early, then enjoy the great food and beautiful Lake surroundings.

I’ve been coming to THLake for many years now and I love the Lake’s Snack Shack. The food quality is outstanding. There can be long lines but, over the 4th of July Holiday where are there not? The staff is very friendly and for a little Snack Shack they have a great menu! They even accept Phone orders if you want to bypass the line. The lake is lovely, why be in a hurry???

My family and I went to the snack shack on a Monday in August. After being at the lake over the 4th of July weekend I’d say it was a moderate day definitely not real busy. I thought their burgers were juicy just like from a burger joint. Not the«best burger» I’ve ever had but above your«snack shack» quality. The burgers were juicy and had fresh vegetables. My boys got the kids corn dog combo. The food was good and we got our food in 5 – 10 minutes. 2 burgers, 1 fries, 2 corn dog combos, 2 drinks for $ 36.00. I’d call it a burger joint rather than snack shack, not a bad place to eat, staff was very friendly.

We waited in line for 30 minutes to order our food, but never made it to the font of the line. This is second time we have given up getting food. I would love to support them. I hope they get help and figure it out. Unbelievably beautiful location and association takes amazing care of property.

I have found their grilled cheeseburgers moist, well seasoned and steaming when served. The hot dog buns are steamed and they serve only Nathan’s links. For a desert, try a snow cone and do stroll around this lovely small lake in the pines. So much to like here I’m wondering why not see the glass as half full? You want falafel? Pack it in.

Hands down the longest wait to food quality/price ratio of any food establishment in America. The service is shockingly slow(I waited 45 minutes for a corn dog)! Get it together guys. The lake is fun but the snack shack will ruin your otherwise nice afternoon.

I have been going to Twain Harte the past 22 years and I actually love the snack shack. I won’t lie, the lines are long, and the food takes even longer, but once you get your food, it’s heavenly. There is something for everyone, the prices are great, and there are lots of places to sit and relax.

Friendly service. But the problem is… I like the Twain Harte Lake. The food is good, but not the best thing in the world. If had to choose my Fav would be the BLT(or for my BL cuz I don’t like the T). Anyway when I was here last I told them I wanted a BLT [BL] without the tomato and pickles. The woman joked with me that it was a BLP. I waited about 20 – 30 minutes when there was ONLY2 – 3PEOPLEWAITINGINFRONTOFME. Soon after, I got my sandwich and it had tomatoes and NO Pickles on it. Very upsetting. So that’s my story.
