Why on earth would I write a review about a self storage place? I’m asking that to myself, but I hate coming on Unilocal(I just wanted the phone number — a link to your website would be nice too btw) and seeing a business that I have used that is getting a bad wrap without anyone hearing the other side. It just seems wrong. I don’t go there all the time(rather be hiking when in the desert). But, my family has a small rental in 29 palms that we rent as a vacation home — close to Joshua tree, etc. that I sometimes use when back in Cali. So naturally we keep our more valuable things at a storage place, instead of lying around in a mostly vacant house. That’s where this storage place comes in. The owner was a nice guy to me the few times I’ve seen him, never seemed like I was interrupting him if I needed him for something. The place was fine and the storage space was just that, space. Nothing fancy, just utilitarian as to be expected. It appears secure and it keeps things from being stolen or forced to be lugged back home with me or my parents. And the price was right(or at least my parents don’t complain about it). Really straight forward. Haven’t had a problem with it. Don’t expect to either.

Évaluation du lieu : 2 Twentynine Palms, CA
It’s hard to believe that a review for a storage company is warranted but it seems perhaps it is. The facility itself is fine & conveniently located. The outdoor storage bays have roll up doors and can get a fair amount of sand/dust in them but that an affect of 29 Palms vs. the storage facility. Office hours are posted but beware, if you’re showing up towards closing hours on a Saturday or Sunday be prepared to drive away with your goods still in hand. We arrived before posted closing and the gate was already locked and staff gone. The owner Ken is lacking in some customer service skills. During our rental we purchased a keyed lock from his office. First lock the key got stuck and needed to be cut off to access locker, lock #2 the key sheered off without even touching it(just dropped from the lock broken). Now, by no means would I think they purposefully purchased inferior products to sell to their customers. However, when it becomes evident that the locks are poorly made China brand with pot-metal keys you would thing the owner would just warranty the lock, apologize for the inconvenience and deal with their distributer directly. This was not the case. The owner Ken would not replace the broken lock rather charged me another $ 8 for a replacement. Yup, that’s lock #3 in less than two weeks but no warranty would be found at Adobe Storage. He’s likely making something like a 700% mark up on these locks but lacks the integrity to back up the merchandise provided to customers. That’s the type of thing that drags down a review and recommend a different storage yard to others. Do you really want someone who is securing your valuables to be lacking such integrity? I do not and will not be renewing next month. It may be silly to some but to me, it’s an indicator as to what type of man and business Ken with Adobe storage is. He’s a crook, $ 7.40 at a time.
