Bought a dress for the Marine Corps Ball, needed a hem, couldn’t find anyone in Yucca Valley or Joshua Tree to do it. Finally stumbled upon the sweet lady at Tops Tailoring. Even though I was months ahead of schedule for the dress, she was already buried in blues for the ball. After a little convincing, and a promise that the dress had no sequins or crazy trim, she agreed to fit in my little alteration. She was extremely sweet and helpful. My dress was even completed a week before she promised it to me. The hem was perfect and the price was extremely low. Definitely worth the drive out to Twentynine.

I’ve been here a few times now to get my chevrons updated, alpha coat adjusted, and once to get a brand new pair of pants tailored. Both the chevrons and alpha coat adjustment went fine. The Mexican lady that helped me those times was very knowledgeable and was able to fix my coat after another tailor royally jacked it up. However, the last time I went another lady was working and really didn’t seem to know her stuff! I had just bought a new pair of pants and needed to get an initial hem which consists of adjusting the length and either tightening or loosening the crotch and back area. The lady was able to easily figure out the length but couldn’t get my topside right! She tried to figure it out for awhile and even called the Mexican lady for help. In the end she told me to come back during the week and the Mexican lady will be able to help me then. Unfortunately for Top’s there’s a million other tailors in the area so instead of going back Monday I found another tailor that’d be able to fix my problem. I’m still giving this place 3 stars because during the week its a solid 4 but on the weekend(for me at least) it was a weak 2.

Ive had these vintage altamont selvedge denim jeans for years just sitting in a box in my closet. the button fly had been damaged and allowed for inappropriate visuals. There was a mexican lady who was super friendly and had a few ideas of how to actually go about repairing the jeans. they turned out awesome. super cheap and fast too. the shop is located right on adobe with parking on the street as well as the rear with an accompanying entrance for both. they offer tailoring, dry cleaning, and filipino spices and other cooking ingredients like filipino soy sauce, vinegar, sampaloc, and those flavored cracker peanuts. i go here for all my alteration/dry cleaning needs.
