Nice views, good décor, large festive bar area. Service was very good with only a few tables filled. Steak salad was very good. Fish and chips were not. Fries were mushy, breading on fish was too heavy and over cooked to a dark brown. Not very appetizing.

Avoid this place on a Saturday & Friday night with more than 10 people. The staff runs around like a chicken without their head. The kitchen gets«back up «or can’t take any orders temporary. Really? I never been to a restaurant that has said that before. The prices are normal. The only time when you will have a good dinner is if it is a slow night(one other table) the food will maybe come out in one hour… Maybe… . This place has potential… But usually fails to have decent service.

Terrible service! Sat for an hour and half before they allowed us to order because their kitchen was backed up even though there were only 10 people in the restaurant. Manager didn’t even offer a free app to try to make up for their issues. Decided to try to fill us up on crappy popcorn. This place will be closed soon! Don’t waste your time. Try Mad Dans which isn’t run by kids.

This place gets a 0 for customer service! Not only did I wait over an hour to eat, but the manager was aware of the poor service and did absolutely nothing about it! They try to fill you up on popcorn like you are at the movie theater. No bread, butter, only POPCORN ! Needless to say, when I was leaving after almost a 2 hr dinner, the place was empty, it appears the word is out, Service is HORRENDOUS ! I have a suggestion, bring a DVD player in, watch a movie and enjoy the popcorn!

Still 1 star. No higher. Bartenders who would rather talk then offer a drink, orders that are screwed up, and a general who cares. I’ve tried. Friends have tried. Locals have tried. Doesn’t matter. Pass.

Last night my family and I stopped by Dock Hoppers for dinner. We were excited to have the Friday Fish Fry. It was horrible, the batter on the fish had the worst seasoning and their potato pancakes were bland and tasteless. I ordered the tomato basil soup, it was like paste and my daughter’s spaghetti was horrible. The sauce resembled the tomato soup. What a waste of money. Dock Hoppers will no longer get my business.

I hate to change my review but my last three visits have been way less than sub-par. I do understand that Dock Hoppers is more of a summer attraction but that is no excuse for bad service and less than satisfying food. I’m not going to say I will never return, but Dock Hoppers will not be my first choice.

Of all the places to get dinner in Twin Lakes, this is my #2. The boy laughs at me because I rave about the frosty goodness of the draft spotted cow served in a icy glass here. It’s so cold and refreshing. The food is middle of the road, I enjoyed the fish fry meal, and had a fairly good pulled pork sandwich in the past as well. Overall winning in my book.

Wow, talk about inconsistent. Tonight we had raw chicken wings that were returned and fried and brought back(with original bite still missing– gross!!) Service was good, but food seems to run hot and cold. When it’s hot, it’s awesome… When it’s cold, YIKES– stay away! Tonight was cold on many levels. Friday fish fry was not available(after order placed and we sat for 15 minutes), replacement meals were just OK. We want this place to be successful, but they need to up their game a bit and become more consistent.

On Saturday night around 7:30 my husband and I went in to have dinner. There was no one waiting and there were tables in the bar and the restaurant available. When we told the hostess there was 2 of us she told us it was a 30 minute wait REALLY! When we asked why, we were told they were short staffed. Needless to say we left and went elsewhere, had a great meal, and now we probably won’t be back. We keep trying to make this neighborhood restaurant a success, but every time there is another disappointment.

Excellent food! We’re a large party of 20 and every item ordered was delicious. Some enjoyed the fish fry, others the rack of ribs, seafood and sandwiches. Fabulous food, fabulous service and a gorgeous view of Lake Mary!

Very friendly place. Sat at the bar for the Blackhawks game. They have 7 large flat screens. Bartenders are excellent. The food was really good. Mostly Homemade. So happy to see this awesome location is finally being managed properly

I went in to have a beer and watch the NCAA tourney. Very beautiful views from any where in the building. Sits right on one of The Twin Lakes. Friendly, competent bar tenders, good service, cold beer. I had heard there was a new Chef and although I was not hungry, the couple sitting next to me was complimenting the soup. I ordered the clam chowder and was blown away. Best chowda eva! The rich taste of the stock used made your taste buds jump. I am guessing some sort of crab infusion. So I looked around at the immense slabs of juicy looking prime rib being served and immediately made a mental note to come back on a Saturday night for the same. Stay tuned!

I came here with a group of girlfriends and was very happy that we visited Dock Hopper’s during our«eat-our-way-around-Twin Lakes» tour. I chose this place because Unilocal said there is a great view by the lake — and indeed there was! We came here for lunch on a Saturday on a clear, sunny day. Our group of six had a great view of Lake Mary at a round table in their dining room. Vintage photos of water skiers covered their walls and actual water skis lined their doors. I think the view of the lake would be even prettier at sunset… but we had other fish to fry that evening(almost quite literally) haha. Dock Hoppers gets 4 stars overall. They are an official Blackhawks bar. We were warmly greeted by the host/staff, immediately led to our table and given a huge tin of popcorn, generously dusted with bacon cheddar cheese powder. We passed that around enthusiastically. They have amazing(bomb-dot-com) Buffalo wings, on par with if not better than one of my favorites in Chicago: Jake Melnick’s. Anyways the wings were crispy, hot and freshly fried. Their sauce was the perfect peppery tang & spice. If I were to rate those wings alone, it would get five stars. Really, their wings are that good! I don’t know what Wisconsin-er’s add to their wings. I ordered a portobello burger called«Sit n’Port Side» with sauteed sweet bell peppers, pesto mayo, arugula and provolone cheese on a brioche bun($ 10.95) that comes with your choice of parmesan fries, coleslaw or a cup of soup. Some of my friends ordered wedge salads, burgers and the day that we went, they were all out of perch. The manager came by and apologized, explaining that their Friday Fish Fry(which is HUGE in this area) had depleted their supply. Oh well, we forged on. As for drinks, my friend ordered a mojito and she exclaimed that the prices were too good to be true. At $ 6⁄7 per cocktail, this was flash-sale prices for drinks compared to the city. The whole weekend, our jaws kept dropping at the very reasonable prices(and tax rate) for everything in Twin Lakes. I spied a spiked Basil Lemonade on their drink menu and asked if I could just get a non-alcoholic version. Our server brought over the bartender who apologized and said they were out of basil, since they grow their own basil on the premises. Basil wasn’t in season. «Would you just like a lemonade?» Nah, I’ll get an iced tea, but«then what’s in your TOMATOBASIL soup that two of us just ordered?» I joked. Is it just tomato soup? And then I also suspiciously eyeballed my friend’s mojito with a crooked brow. Anyway, our server did a great job. He told us he was new but he was nice enough to give us all separate checks. To sum it up: order items with basil when their basil is in season, sit by the windows for an amazing view and do order their wings!

If you can’t find something you want to eat here you must be blind! The food is awesome and I always have a hard time choosing what exactly I want. This is a definite SUMMER spot, but it’s great they stay open in the winter too. One of the only official Blackhawks bars I know of in WI! =)

Went in with a large party. Waiter came to take the order. Somebody else served the plates. We had to get drinks from the bar because nobody bothered themselves to come back to the table. We’ll done burgers were bleeding and sent back. Fish fry was cold and sent back. When they came back they were dry as they just simply cut the burgers in half and cooked the them on their sides. Grille marks on the inside of the burger. Waiter came back once. Gave us desserts instead of admitting the meals were bad. No refund. Last time we came here it was ok but unfortunately it’s bad more often than not. Won’t come back, will tell my friends to stop coming. Good times. Update: been here 2 hours. We’ve been sitting here staring at a dirty table for 40 minutes waiting for our check so we can get out of here. Update #2: table behind us was just informed after waiting over an hour the kitchen lost their ticket.

Ok, I was with the party of 10.(was 9 and when the 10th joined us they never asked him what he wanted). It was the worse food ever. The service was worse than the food. I thought we waited a long time for food and when it came, it was all wrong, and what wasn’t wrong couldn’t be fixed. The fish fry was terrible. Cold just like the potato pancake. The list could go on and on. They graciously sent free pieces of pie, but we all wanted to eat dinner, not pie. NOTGOOD!!! another funny note, table of 6 next to us was waiting longer than us for food, and then I heard the girl come to their table to get their order again, she told them that their ticket was lost. LOST!!! someody better check the cooks, I think they were all high…

Started with wings that were awesome. Not the same old out of the box that to many places around the area serve. Had the fish dinner, more food than I could finish. 3 huge pieces of cod, potato pancake, fresh cole slaw, spiced apples and corn fritters. WOW!
