What a terrible attitude toward stranded drivers today!!! With yesterday’s surprise snowstorm allot of drivers stranded and accidents. My family were on their way home last evening and got stuck on 189 at 5 corners. Had to park their car at the station alone with several other drivers for the night and we were able to rescue them along with other family members stuck on Grass Valley. As early as possible when the roads reopened we drove our family members to retrieve their cars so they could drive home. The bitch at the station came out screaming at my son and daughter in law to move all the cars now and the tow trucks were coming to tow the cars. My daughter in law and son started to apologize for having their car parked there but the bitch would not stop screaming at them even as they were scraping and shoveling their car. Did she really want them to drive off the road? The roads were littered with accidents and cars stuck in the snow. Is this mountain kindness or concern for people. No only selfish greed for the station. I know we will never patronize this business again and be sure to tell everyone about this horrible business. That is what is wrong with the world — no kindness, caring or humanity.

What can I say? It’s my neighborhood store that saves my butt every time it snows. If I was snowed in for weeks… I’d survive because of this place having a Subway sandwich shop inside. The employees are always in good spirits, which makes it nice. Don’t be fooled by the tall woman with the long hair… she comes off with an attitude but after you get to know her she turns out to be the most helpful.

I frequent this place, as it’s near my house, and I know all of the employees at this point. Decent beer selection, subway restaurant inside, and gas. Gas is not cheap, but it’s on par with every gas station on the mountain. They are friendly, and treat you like royalty. Great place.
