Really good pizza! Went in for a slice and to take some home. Could not stop eating it. Not because we were hungry because we weren’t! It was just that good! Great beers too!

My wife and I ate here while on vacation. We enjoyed it so much we returned the next day to try different items.

My husband and I were in last night, after many, many hours on the road. We were both in the mood for pizza, something I want sure we’d be able to get so far away from the cities — I have a gluten allergy. We were shocked to find Do North, in a small town, offering it at all. I braced myself for a crappy pizza, and paid the insane price — $ 17 for the gf individual pizza — and waited. OMFG. For one, I don’t know on what planet that was an individual pizza. Even as starving as I was, there was NO way I was finishing that. It would serve two, I ended up with a huge supper, plus breakfast. Secondly, I have no idea where they got their crust, but that was no UDI’s crap most people serve. That was HANDSDOWN the best thin crust gluten-free pizza crust I’ve ever had… And I make really good pizza crust, myself. SO good. While I was grumbling at the price before it arrived, I have no problem with it now. The pizza was huge — more than 12″, and tasted awesome. No complaints.(There were cheaper options, but I ordered the Bubba. I think some were $ 14 or so). Now, let’s talk about my breakfast… One of the many problems with gluten-free pizza is that it’s always gross as leftovers. Reheating gives it gross textures, but eating it cold is nasty. This has been a big source of annoyance for me, as I LOVED cold pizza for breakfast before my beloved gluten was taken from me. … I just had cold GF pizza, and it was amazing. Not«edible», which is my usual compliment for gf pizza. Actually really good. Someone at Do North deserves sainthood. That is all.

Was just in tonight after a long trip up from The Cities. Yes, the pizza did take a while but it was certainly worth it! Terrific thin crust with golden brown cheese on top. Perfect! The inside is a little less to be desired, old diner tables and ripped/taped booths but the the staff was very nice and I would highly recommend if you have a night in Two Harbors. Walked the Bay Agate Trail afterwards and had a fantastic night!

We’ve been in the two harbors area for a week now, and have been looks for a good meal at a good price. Do north pizzeria is that place. Best pizza I’ve had in a long time. The crust was perfect, and the homemade sausage was even better. I will definitely be back every time I’m back in two harbor. I just can’t give this place enough compliments. Simply great pizza!!!

Great pizza! Thin crust, fresh sauce, plenty of real cheese. Homemade sausage was wonderful. Generous toppings. They also have a great gluten feee crust. .one that actually made me forget it was gluten free, for perhaps the first time ever!

First off I’ve got to say those booths had the most comfortable seats my buns have ever had the pleasure of experiencing! That being said the pizzas are large sizes for a pretty good price(and I mean large, still snacking on it the next day), and with quantity came quality, the food was delicious, we had a extra large pizza and some cheesy bread which I recommend. Unfortunately it didn’t get 5 stars because we were told it would be around 20 minutes and it took a little over double that. Luckily we were just bringing it back to our motel room instead of trying to scare it down before try closed.

We get carry out from here quite often and have eaten in once. Definitely the carry out is a better option. The pizza is great, small town, non-chain pizza. Lots of good combinations. I think the best idea is to get the pizza here, bring it over to castle danger brewery, and win in both areas.

DO North is an absolutely classic small town pizza shop, and they happen to make a pretty good pie. It’s the perfect spot to drop in or carry out. The staff was very nice to us, even though we all stood around bumbling for awhile before we decided what we wanted or were ready to place an order. The pizza itself comes cut into squares — whatever style of pizza you call that. The sausage was really delicious and came in big rough chunks — not the small little perfect sausage balls on a lot of frozen pizza. Crust was thin, crackery and crisp. Very good. We did kind of agree that the mushrooms were skipable since they were clearly canned and not fresh. We wouldn’t order mushrooms again. Oh, and they had Castle Danger beer on tap, which was a tremendous bonus, especially when we ordered a pitcher and it was ridiculously cheap. I didn’t pay so I’m not sure how cheap but maybe $ 10 for a big pitcher. Yum. Great stop.

Had just biked up to Two Harbors from Duluth to check out the Castle Danger Taproom and were starving. They didn’t really serve food in the taproom, but gave us menus for some local places. We ended up picking Do North and ordered the Kendall Combo, which had pepperoni, Canadian bacon, hamburger and breakfast style bacon. It was so good. They deliver straight to the taproom and we got our order in about 20 – 25 min. We got a large between three of us and just devoured the entire pizza in less than 10 minutes. It wasn’t just the starvation talking, the pizza was actually good, and adding the beer made it even better! If you’re looking to hang out and grab a drink and food with friends, I’d definitely recommend the Castle Danger Taproom plus a Do North pizza.

We took a regularly scheduled sightseeing train from Duluth to Two Harbors on a Sunday afternoon. During our tour of Two Harbors, we stopped in at Castle Danger Brewery to sample some local beers(which were great, the service there was great, I’d highly recommend Castle Danger Brewery). Castle Danger didn’t have any food, however, and we were on a 6 hour tour from Duluth to Two Harbors and back, and needed more sustenance. The bartender gave us a Do North menu and said that they frequently deliver pizzas and that they are located basically across the street. The person who took our order quoted us at 40 min., which seemed like a long time considering we had a train to catch. The actual order took OVERANHOUR. And then our pizza order was wrong! We certainly didn’t have time at that point for them to re-make it. There was another couple in the brewery tap room who said their pizza took forever, too, and that the person who delivered their pizza forgot the credit card slip and had to come back a second time. The girl apologized for the delay and the incorrect order and said that they only had four people on staff that day, and they got slammed by the number of people on the train at the same time. We were on a regularly scheduled sightseeing tour, that runs every weekend from like March-November, you’d think they’d be more prepared and would staff for that considering it happens at the same time, every weekend.

Fantastic hometown pizza. Crispy thin crust, big chunks of sausage and decent prices. It’s become one of our must-stops when we come up to the North Shore.

Very good pizza. We had the cheeseburger pizza, BBQ chicken pizza and a pepperoni pizza. All were very good. It is a small, hometown atmosphere. Good beer and friendly service.

Ordered a large pizza with 2 basic toppings and it came out to around $ 18. The pizza was smaller than expected for the price as you can get 3 little ceasers larges for less than one of these. The sauce was not my favorite but the cheese was good. The crust was alright. Overall the cost will be the death of this place.

I worked for Cudda(Loyd C Johnson) for 4 years and Dick for 2 years, previous owners of Do North Pizza. I went to visit my parents and was looking forward to eating the best pizza i have had in my life. I was truly dissapointed. The crust was terrible, sauce had no Flavor. Frozen Jeno’s Pizza is better !! They ruined one of the best thin crust Pizza’s i ever had

A classic pizza joint in Northern MN. Nothing fancy about the place but we were treated nicely. I used the restroom and snooped into a different back room and saw a large stand mixer. I asked a employee if they make there own dough and they do! They also shred their own cheese and make their own sauce. The sauce really is top notch. So much flavor with out being spicy or overwhelming. The fact that they make things by hand is a HUGEPLUS. The crust in thin and nice(I am more of a thick crust fan) and the veggies on my veggie pizza were good. It would have been much better if they used non-canned mushrooms. They have gluten free crust and it is about a 12″ pizza. They do not make this crust by hand, but it was a nice pizza. My GF got this pizza. I enjoyed my pizza and want to give DO North 4 stars, but 3 is what I am sticking with. If the atmosphere was a little better I would have been more happy. They had a TV blaring for awhile but they turned it down when we asked nicely. Overall it was a nice dinner in old downtown Two Harbors.

EXCELLENT pizza! My extremely picky husband who rarely would rate anyone’s pizza very highly said to give this 4 out of 5 stars.(That’s saying a lot for him!). I personally thought it deserved 5 out of 5, but I’ll reserve that for pizza perfection in a place that also has perfect ambiance. It’s an acceptable place to go given that this is a long standing local business of Two Harbors and a very old building. We kept it simple with a sausage and mushroom pizza. The crust was great — thin, crisp, perfectly cooked. Nice spicy sausage. Overall, GREAT!

Always look forward to Do North pizza night when we are hanging on the North Shore in the Two Harbors area. The pizzas are made in a very shallow dish so they come out with a thinner crust but have hearty portions of sauce, cheese and other ingredients. I love the fact that you can order it «well done» and they know exactly what that means(browner cheese but not burnt!) We get a medium Special which easily feeds two hungry adults and usually leaves left overs for lunch the next day.
