Urgent Care 24/7- Tybee Island

Highly recommend this clinic! If you’re vacationing and need a quick «fix» this is the place to go. Several years ago one of my kiddos scratched a retina and they quickly diagnosed, treated and we were back in action within a few hours. As I type, I sit here with another kiddo, this one with a nasty sinus infection. We have been promptly treated and waiting to leave. Everyone is knowledgeable, courteous and very friendly.

Thank you very much Dr. Williams for coming to my rescue last night! I have never experienced such pain in my life and with out your help I’m not sure what I would have done.
Anyone around Tybee or the islands should never hesitate to call on Dr. William if you ever need treatment. His professionalism and genuine care is something from the past as he actually takes time to talk to you and make certain that you are fine before sending you on your way.

After an evening dining on salmon pasta and fabulous wine, I woke up the next day to a nasty case of food poisoning. Did I mention it was a Sunday AND my Birthday?!
If you’ve never had food poisoning, let me paint a vivid picture. Imagine your insides literally convulsing as you scream vomit everything you’ve eaten in the past 20 years. The heaving, projectile vomiting and amazing case of exploding diarrhea causes you to burst blood vessels in your eyes, lose your voice and lose anyone around you worth a damn! You cry and scream in pain between wishing for death and seeing double. Ok. Are we all caught up?!
As a Tybee native, the best and latest addition is this tiny urgent care center. With it being a Sunday, it was closed so I had to page the doctor on call. Every second of waiting for his call felt like days but surprisingly enough, within 10 minutes, he called me back. I was surprised and for the first time in 6 hours, relieved when he told me «meet me in 30 minutes. I’ll take care of you.»
I arrived looking like hell and literally crawling to the door. Sadly, I forget his name considering I was having an out of body experience but he was so professional and above all else considerate considering my shirt was a mess and I was crying. I even threw up in front of him as I was getting a shot and he was unphased. Within 20 minutes the nausea feeling and stomach cramping dissipated. I was able to go home and sleep for 12 hours. While it took me 2 days to fully recover, I have Tybee Urgent Care for helping me stop the lambs from screaming.

I just stumbled across the best medical professional I’ve ever come in contact with!
The primary doctor is what medicine should be. Relaxed, professional, up front, lots of dialog. It just doesn’t get any better.
I am traveling, and found the urgent care on Google. When I first called 3 other urgent care facilities, all I got was an answering machine, when I called Tybee Urgent care the Doctor answered. (When was the last time this happened to you?). He said he was closing now, but would wait for me (25 minutes) to get across town.
Once I arrived, I knew I was in good hands. He gave me more than I asked for, and if anything, was more careful and professional than I expected. Most doctors these days seem assembly line oriented and dispassionate. Not so with Tybee Urgent Care.
To top it off, my bill was about half what I expected.
One thing, they do NOT take ANY form of insurance.

We were visiting Tybee from NYC and had a potentially broken toe, adult, virus, child and broken thumb, child, all within 24 hours, (an unlucky few hours). Dr. Williams is the head doctor of Tybee Urgent Care and he was amazing to our whole family. He is caring, knowledgable, calming and did not hesitate to take our call at 7:00am or 10:00pm over a holiday weekend. If it were not for Tybee Urgent Care we would have been forced to find an emergency room at a local hospital. Thanks to Dr. Williams, we were done in 20 minutes, and when you are on vacation, it was amazing not to lose a whole day waiting around to be seen. Dr. Williams is also well respected and connected within the Tybee/​Savannah medical community. When we thought we might need a specialist, it was reassuring to know that Dr. Williams would be able to put us is equally capable hands.
While the injuries were a low point of our trip, meeting Dr. Williams and our experience at Tybee Urgent Care was a surprising and unique high point.
