Ordered a product that was advertised in stock. Turns out it was not in stock and they kept my money until I called and complained to give it back! Will never recommend!

My parents have shopped here and spent a lot of money at this business over the 30 years they have lived in Athens. My mom had a return to make tonight and we arrived five minutes before their closing time of 8pm and we were not allowed in to make the return. Don’t say you close at 8pm and decide to close at 7:55 because you’re lazy and want to go home. 8pm is 8pm, not 7:55. Especially when you have people that are repeat customers spending thousands of dollars at your establishment. They will make sure to keep their business at Lone Star locations now.

Great, attentive customer service and a wide selection of jeans for my hard to fit slim boy.

Wonderful! Nelson helped us while we were shopping and I loved being assisted by a «real» cowboy! He was so nice and patient with me as I took forever to make up my mind over what boots I was going to get. I ended up very happy with my choice. My husband also bought an Atwood cowboy hat here, which is the best brand in my opinion! I will absolutely go back next time I’m in the area.

Cavender’s is a chain of Western clothing stores based out of Tyler. Now I’m not into Cowyboy-wear, but Cavender’s is the place to come if you need boots. The staff is knowledgeable about their products, and they take the time to make sure your boots fit. Sure, you can save a few bucks going elsewhere, but you don’t get the service.

I’m no cowgirl, but I occasionally find myself in Cavenders for gifts or something requisite to East Texas life. The service is always fantastic and I usually leave satisfied.

This place is the best, and the employees are awesome! On our last trip home we both needed new boots, and the boy needed a new hat. We looked for him first, and found exactly what he wanted with the help of an awesome employee… I wish I could remember his name! Next we went to look at boots for me, and I fell in love with a certain pair(I do not like showy boots, no pink, no butterflies, or crosses with wings… just basic boots). They didn’t have my size in stock. Ack! They told me they could get them in 4 or 5 days, but we were leaving in 3. I said I could have my mother in law come back and pick them up, then ship them out to me in CA, but I was worried that the fit wouldn’t be right. They had me try on the next size up, and the next size down, and then also had me try on the correct size in the most comparable boot. I was confident that I’d like the fit just as much as I liked the look and said I’d like them to order them. When I told them my mother in law would be back to get them, they just got on the phone, called their web ordering dept, and arranged for me to pay in store, and have them shipped right to CA. Wooo-hooo! I love my boots, even though these San Diegans look at me weird when I wear them with skirts, or even with jeans!

Seeing how my old pair of boots had long since worn out and I was visiting family in the area anyway, I stopped by here the other night to look around and was pleased with what I found. They offered a nice selection of boots ranging from the super cheap to a pair that was $ 1,400 and everything in between. The guys working there was really helpful(think Nordstrom’s workers, just in jeans and cowboy hats) and in no time flat I was out of there with a new pair of boots. Would have picked up a Cross Canadian Ragweed shirt too while I was there but sadly they were out of my size. All in all, not a bad place to shop if you need any kind of western wear.
