Nice shop here with my visit today checking out a demo bike. Very helpful staff in Sport manager? Have not decided this is THE bike I want now, but definitely a good choice. Thanks folks. Will return.

This place is expensive and is not concerned with getting a job down. Took an older bike in to get a major tune up, the tune up was was $ 125 and the other things that needed to be done was an additional $ 125. Just got a mountain bike and a cruiser done in Southern California and the tune up and everything for both came to $ 140! The person helping me said they were busy and they would call me when it was done, 2 weeks has pasted no call! I called today and the girl who answered the phone said I was at the top of the list and they would call me soon, I asked how long she thought soon would be and she hung up on me! If I hadn’t vested two already in this process I would go and pick up the bike, she was just rude! The bike shop in Southern California was packed and they got both bikes done in less than 4 days– this is taking forever and they didn’t look busy! I am really disappointed!!!

Very nice people, just not really good judges of customers wants and needs. I went in with an older road bike and asked for«really cheap rims and tires» I specifically said«the cheapest you’ve got» Well I was quoted 350. I couldn’t help but laugh. That was probably more then 4 times the value of my bike. My second gripe was they had nothing in stock. Every option I considered had to be ordered. The guy behind the counter asked if I wanted to order some parts for my bike. I said no. He looked shocked. I go into a bike shop to buy parts and receive them that day. I can order parts offline myself. This was the second or third time I’ve been into elite in the past couple years and probably my last. I’ve never walked out of there with anything I’ve been looking for. 2 stars for the polite lady who greeted me.

The store is clean, and the selection of in-stock parts is fine. The staff really tries to help you when you walk in, although they are more ‘gnarly bicycle dudes’ than professionals. I had been wanting to get my first 29er for a while, went in and a salesperson helped me pick one out. It was not in stock. I ordered the bike and some accessories I wanted installed(pedals, seatpost, seat, bars, lights and I wanted it converted to tubeless with slime). I paid, and was told it would be a week, After 10 days, I called, and was informed that the associate who was ‘handling’ my purchase was out for a riding trip and would be back in a few days and would call. I waited. At 15 days I called back, was informed that the bike was not ready. I made an appointment to pick it up at 17 days. Went in on day 17 at the appointed time, and dude was obviously just starting on my bike. He had the tubeless conversion done, but none of the accessories installed. I waited in store for a half hour, then was allowed in the workshop area, and after another half hour, I ended up working on my own bike. The gnarly dudes thought this was perfectly normal, they were all having a good time talking about one of them racing a single-speed bike… a good bunch of guys to ride with I’m sure. Finally, after about 2 hours, the bike was done. I took it home and had a great ride. The next morning, both tires were flat and slime was all over the floor. I admit, I sort of gave up at that point. I told myself I would find a new shop, figure out what had been done improperly during the obviously rushed conversion, but I haven’t. The bike has been sitting for several moths. Sigh. So, all in all, I’m ambivalent. I’m sure if I had taken the bike back in, they’d have fixed it no problem… but I was sick of dealing with them. A bunch of gnarly dudes are fun to ride with and give your bike store a cool vibe, but I guess they have problems with organization and schedules. The products are good, the prices are fair, they seem honest and they are experienced riders. I wish it had gone differently.

This has been my «hometown bicycle shop» forever. As a longtime cyclist, I have invested heavily into my bicycles and when it comes to having work done on them, I ONLY trust these guys. Their service is spot on and there is always the bonus of the adpoted bike shop dog, Bruce. They adopted this dog — that alone, speaks volumes to me. Their service and reapir is on par with any shop in Austin or Dallas only more friendly and when you leave, you leave friends behind. The work, the comraderie is just excellent. Priceless. Shop here soon and say, «Hello» to Bruce.

Knowledgeable staff, excellent service, fair prices. The only guys between Dallas and Shreveport that I will allow to touch my bike. Special orders? No problem. The owner, Sport, went out of his way to fix one of my racing wheels on short notice while I waited because I needed it for an event. A pro shop in a small city that won’t rip you off. If you’re a serious rider, this shop deserves your support.

These guys love bikes and it shows. There’s no off-putting«attitude» that some shops might have. Had some work done on a couple of bikes there. Price was right and the work was good.

Great service! I arrived in the Tyler area, bike in tow, only to find that my front tire had been melted by my exhaust pipe. I brought my bike into Elite, where one of the employees offered to replace it with the tire of his personal bike. I ride a 650b wheel size, so I was dead in the water otherwise. The rest of the staff are just as great. They are incredibly friendly and clearly will go out of their way to help. They turned around what was shaping up to be a disastrous weekend. I’ll definitely return next time I’m in Tyler.
