The first thing I noticed about this park was the lack of shade. I feel for a children’s park and playground in Texas summer sun and heat, the lack of shade was irresponsible. They have tiny trees and two tiny umbrellas. The second thing I noticed was that the floor of the splash pad for was made of concrete versus the dense spongy pad Ive seen at numerous other splash pads. I’ve seen lots of kids fall since I’ve been here about 15 minutes. I had originally given this park three stars, but changed it after walking over to the dry playground and seeing that it backs up to the walking trails that go into the woods down the hill. The ground on the trails are not visible from where parents would be sitting, and there’s literally a slide that goes down the hill inviting children into unsupervised territory. can you say WELCOMEKIDNAPPERS! any louder than that? The equipment is quality, that’s why it has 2 stars not 1. Overall I feel it was a designed without young children in mind. Parents beware if you come to this park you must keep a very close eye on your children, which stands regardless of the structure of the park.
