Was instantly greeted when I walked into the store with a friendly bartender and helpful staff. Good clientele and an excellent selection of beers and other drinks. Got to have happy hour prices all night. Found the atmosphere of the place, to be an excellent place to relax and have a few drinks.

My go-to spot for beer in Tyler. Locally owned and operated with a badass brew selection. Staff is great and the place is laid back. Versatile lay-out makes you feel comfortable popping over after work in a suit and tie or catching up with the guys in shorts and a ball cap. Either way, you won’t feel out of place. Knowledgeable staff that is willing to make recommendations and pass out samples. I’ve heard that the cocktails are good, but I am a beer guy so I’m stuck touring the taps. Tyler has needed this. GOLOCAL!

So this is what I have discovered about Tyler Texas as a whole, and that is that they,(Tyler residents & or businesses do not welcome visitors & or new people in any way shape or form. Get real people, do you want to grow or wither away. Neither matters to me. The personnel was a lot more friendly then that of Rufus. The clientele, on the other hand would not speak to me. Wow!!! How rude can you be?

My kind of place. Lots of options on tap, Friendly staff, Football on every TV and it’s a well designed comfortable establishment. I lucked out and found this place on the first Sunday night game. They don’t have a kitchen, but they allow you to bring your own food. I can make that work.

Has to be the best place in town for beer. Excellent whiskey and vodka — Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban, Angel’s Envy, Blanton’s, TX Whiskey(this is Texas after all), Redbreast 12, Tito’s, Deep Ellum. I’m sure the wine is good too but I’m a whiskey and beer guy so… 56 taps and a host of bottles also. Lots of Texas(Rahr; Community; Real Ale; Pedernales; Deep Ellum; Lone Star) and even some local(True Vine, looking at you) beers. Dogfish 90, Old Chub, 3 Philosophers, Devil’s Backbone(some of my favorites). I haven’t had a Southern Pecan(from MS) in a while and they have it here. China’s, Deschutes, Breck — the gang’s all here. Wish they served food on site but there is a top notch steak house/high end restaurant(Dakota’s) next door. Just finished working on the seared tuna. Great ambiance — clean, friendly. Not too loud but I did come on a Monday night.

I love the concept of their signature cocktail The Mule and its variations and approve of the choice of copper mugs for service. Such a refreshing way to end a day of record breaking 101 degree heat. When travelling through Tyler on business, I found much the city to be poorly stocked in it share of craft beer bars with local flavor due to the city’s history as a dry county and only recent conversion. With a wall of taps, this place has the potential to continue to expand its selection of craft brews and eventually pull those typical Buds, Coors, and Millers, off their taps all together as the tasting palettes of the patrons become more sophisticated.

Awesome place! Beer selection is ridiculous, these guys know what they’re doing. Can’t wait to come on the weekend!

Cute place, decent crowd for a Sat night, but the bartenders didntt seem very knowledgeable about the wonderful selection of beer, and everything — stouts, portrs, ales, IPA and Old Rasputan was being poured into pint glasses. I would come back, but I do enjoy a nice beer conversation and that was lacking, though other than that, the service was good.

Not a big beer drinker but came here to support a local business and because Todd S. said it was legit. A very nice addition to the sorely lacking tyler bar scene. Very welcoming to all types and occasions. I could come here in a coat and tie, or a t-shirt and sandals. Staff very friendly and helpful with suggestions. It’s nice that the tyler beer community now has a locally owned spot to hang out. Very well done!

My wife and I stopped in to check the place out but were refused service because she didn’t have an ID. We are a couple both in our mid forties and I had already had a membership so the refusal of service is a little more irksome than if we were in our early twenties. Funnily enough we had just come from lunch that included a beer apiece without ID issues and went to down to the square after leaving Rose City and had drinks, again without there being issues about her ID. Would have liked to give this place a chance but after the snub that is no longer the case.

Good selection of beers. Probably the best place in Tyler for a variety of brews. However, I wish they had a food menu. You should definitely try it out when you visit Tyler.

No nonsense here. No pool or shuffleboard One pin ball machine if you must. Just straight forward beer house. Yes they have alcohol too. But come for the draft beer. Lots of IPA for sure and a few stouts too. No loud music to distract your taste buds. Come enjoy. Only reason for 4 not 5 was I prefer a room temp glass for some beers.

Tyler’s first legitimate craft beer depot. With 57 taps, I noticed a good selection of most styles with the exception of cider. The prices range from $ 4 – 5 per pint, which although not as good as «free beer» it’s more bang for your buck than BJ’s. Ample seating inside with more than enough TV’s to not have a bad seat. The outside patio/pergola looks like a winner on a nice day. The two female bartenders I chatted with were friendly and very knowledgeable about their products. Not limited to just beer, Rose City is also a full service bar. A friend said her Moscow Mule was awesome. No food is served or prepared on site, but you can bring in just about anything you want. Dominos is located 50 feet away and will deliver. As will Jimmy John’s. I dig a local business and really hope Rose City does well. A couple humble suggestions for the proprietor to consider: Add a cider to the menu, lots of people dig them. Offer a bar munchie, even something as simple as popcorn or nuts. BuzzTime Trivia. Currently the only place to play is BWW, and that place is a dive.

We finally have a great bar with a fantastic beer selection. This is exactly what Tyler needed. The owner, Jeremy, is a customer service fanatic. I see many good times ahead.

My favorite bar in Tyler. Classy & fun. People go here for good beer on tap & conversations. So many beers to choose from! Mostly crafts which I’m a huge fan of. Glad they support the locals too like True Vine. Bartenders are super cool and will help you decide what you want if you are wanting some new to try.

Awesome! Just what we needed. 57 beers and great atmosphere. Bring your own food because this is a bar. Plenty of hard alcohol too. Outdoor patio is open.
