Gardner’s has the best sundaes ever. Hands down. The ice cream is amazing and so many options. Their candy shop and gift shop is also great. The museum is a nice touch also. Their prices are very reasonable and my kids love going there.

I have been coming to Gardiner’s since I was a tot as it’s in my dad’s hometown. Obviously you need to get the peanut butter meltaways and the mixed salted nuts. It’s basically mandatory. Their penny candy case has changed a bit since I was a kid but I love that they still offer it. It’s also the only place I know of where I can get those flying saucers with the sprinkles inside. Whenever I have spare time and I’m at Penn State I make the drive to Tyrone because the original can’t be beat. Also, that museum. Love it. I want all the things in it.

Gardners Candy is one of the best candies I have ever had. It’s tough to beat their peanut butter meltaways and their chocolate covered pretzels. I have clients who move to State College, PA from other areas and I always make sure some Gardners Candy ends up in their gift baskets. I try to give my clients something to try that is locally made in the area. You can buy the chocolates in vaiours grocery stores as well as the candy stores. Definitely will find my way there to pick up some Easter treats.

Hands down the best peanut butter melt always on the planet. With exception of the PSU creamery, the best ice cream(Hershey’s) in the area.

Gardners Candy claims it’s the Worlds Best Chocolate, and being so close to Hershey, PA– you’d think they were out of their mind. Sorry Hershey– but Gardeners may be small– but their chocolate is so good, I just placed an order online to ship it up to Boston to give as gifts for the holidays.(And trust me, I will be the most popular person at my office when I give them each a box of peanut butter meltaways). They have locations across Central PA– and you can even find their chocolate in some drug stores and grocery stores. Unfortunately– I can’t swing by any in Boston to pick them up– so they have a great online catalog that will make your mouth water. Although I really love everything they make– from their chocolate covered pretzel rods to their chocolate drizzled caramel corn– the peanut butter meltaways take 1st prize as probably the most addicting, most delicious chocolate treats that exist. I highly suggest(even if you are not in the area) to order a box and try them out for yourself. You won’t regret it!
