Ohio Hog Company BBQ

So your looking for BBQ near Peachtree City? Just go north to Ohio Hog Company — its worth the drive and offers a better experience than the normal chain BBQ restaurants.
I had the regular dinner size of beef tips and 3 sides: potato salad, mac & cheese, and baked beans. The beef tips were deliciously covered in bbq sauce and tender — not overcooked. The potato salad provided a creamy contrast to the flavorful bbq. The macaroni was held together by melted oozes of cheese. And finally, the baked beans were full of flavor and had chunks of beef brisket. All of this food was more than enough to fill me for one night, I can’t imagine how much food comes in the large beef tips.
This place also has a small selection of beer, including Yuengling.

Had the brisket sandwich and cheese curds, very tasty! I will definitely come back, coleslaw was not my favorite thing though.

Although the name is a turn off (Ohio? the restaurant has Ohio state garb all over) this bbq place seems to be pretty close to the real deal. Plenty of parking and they have a super cool smoker /​cooker food truck out front. This seems to be a family owned /​run business that means business ! I heard a customer ask the owner how his Christmas was and the owner responded by saying «well I spent it cleaning the restaurant». You can tell they are committed to good service and food.
I was so close to giving 5 stars but I put it up against what I think is the best BBQ I’ve had and it falls just short.
I had the brisket plate with Brunswick stew and potato salad.
I guess I should have asked for different if I wanted it but I don’t like my brisket chopped. I like it sliced or pulled in chunks. Either way it was a bit dry but had great taste. I think they make their own sauce which I would give a strong «B+» nice bark served with just a little fat on it. I like it that way.
The potato salad was nice. I don’t like too many onions and this was spot on.
The Brunswick stew was very bland. Tasted more like tomatoes than bbq. Nice consistency. Lots of tomatoes and corn. Not much meat at all.
All portions were decent.
I will be back.

Best BBQ in Tyrone-​Peachtree City. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. The ribs are awesome. Mac and cheese is great. Brisket is light and sweet but still good. A must try for all BBQ lovers.

Absolutely best BBQ in the Fayette-​Coweta area. The pork is constantly tender, juicy, and smokey. All the sides are excellent. I’ve had the Brunswick stew, mac ‘n cheese, but my favorite side dish is the tasty collard greens. They are unbelievable. Portions are perfect and quality is consistent. If you have a craving for BBQ and good olé soul food, this is the place!

I’ve got to be honest, when I saw «Ohio» in the restaurants name I didn’t think it would be that great. When we pulled into the parking lot and I didn’t smell any wood burning I was ready to find somewhere else but my fiancée talked me into giving it a chance. We both got the pulled pork plates and it tasted amazing. It had that classic smoke ring (guess we pulled in while they weren’t smoking any meat) and had a great char on the outside. While it wasn’t the best bbq I’ve had, it was really good and I would definitely come back.

I’m guessing this place is closed on Tuesdays or closed down for good. went to eat there today and was not open at all. nothing worse than an establishment that isn’t open during posted hours. bummer!

This is real bbq, it reminded me of what bbq taste like as a youth. Down home atmosphere with excellent ribs and a good sauce. These folks know what they are doing. Better than any chain restaurant hands down.

My wife and I hosted this years family reunion in Norcross, GA and picked up food from Gary at Ohio Hog Company BBQ that was a big hit with over 50 family members. We had the pulled pork, barbecue chicken, potato salad and bake beans and washed it down with their sweet tea and lemonade. Thanks for making the food a highlight of the reunion!

I intended to take the typical photos of my food, but I was so hungry and it looked so good, I went in and killed it! Soooo good, I had the beef brisket sandwich… it was as tender as butter! I’ll be back next time I’m in Atl!

Been here a few months ago after my daughter brought me a lil sample of the rib tips home with the potato salad and brunswick stew. I had to go and experience it in person. I’ve been back a few times to try the rib tips, mac & cheese, greens, baked beans and 2 rib bones. Each visit I brought along a friend or relative to see how good The food is. The ribs are soooooo tender (fall off the bone)! They all agree. Hands down! Best BBQ I’ve had in a long time!

A great place to get BBQ. If you do not like a lot of sauce, ask them to hold the sauce because they are more than generous with it. We had the Chicken, pork ribs, rib tips, and stew. The stew was okay, but the rib tips were perfect. We will be going back again and again. Service was good and they listened to our request.

Stopped here to eat on our drive from Columbus to Atl airport. We all had pulled pork sandwich.
We all loved it! Yummy! We highly recommend.

Wow, not sure what all the fuss… and compliments are about. Ordered rib tips, pork and brisket sandwich, fries, potato salad. Had to ask twice for the potato salad after receiving everything else. They didn’t really seem to care. The rib tips were not good. There was so much greasy sauce dumped on that i couldnt really tell what i was eating. I mean wayyy too much sauce. I felt nasty when leaving. I had to go home and take a shower and i still felt oily. I then got the pleasure of tasting the overpowering smokey taste for about two days after. Make it go away! Listen, i eat a lot of Que, lived in Memphis for a few years and this was one of the worst i have ever tasted. I didn’t finish even half of my food and didn’t even bother taking it with me. Not good on food, service, or niceness.

This is by far my favorite BBQ spot. Coming from Kansas City, my husband and I are very picky about our BBQ and this place is the best out of all the BBQ joints we’ve tried in Georgia! Our favorite items on their menu are the rib tips & the bbq nachos (both brisket and pulled pork). We’ve never ordered anything here we didn’t like. My only complaint is that I wish they made the cornbread a little bit bigger.

Excellent barbecue! My go to place for barbecue south of Atlanta. Everything here is incredible! Love the staff. They are very friendly and helpful. I love the ambiance. I’m a bit of an old soul, they have classic posters, and best of all the music is great. They play lots of jazz and Motown. I’m sold on this place and haven’t even talked about the food yet. I love the ribs and tips, but my favorite is the brisket. I’m picky on my brisket and theirs is incredible. The meat is so tender and the marbling is perfect. There sides are great as well. Best collards around! I absolutely love Ohio hog!
Final Verdict: Great food, great service, amazing ambiance, and a must go to place to eat!

The food here never disappoints, My 8yr old daughter whom never eats all of her food when we dine out, demolishes the Rib Tips!!!
The PullPork Sandwhich, Ribs, Chicken, Mac&Cheese, Baked Beans, my family and I love this place when I don’t have the energy to fire up the grill!
