Many dishes to choose from. The seafood dishes are delicious. Friendly staff but I do feel there should be more than one waiter specially on weekends. It gets busy and few times we had to wait for a clean table. Also, not a fan of the salsa that they serve the chips with but they have a salsa bar with other options. Their aguas frescas are phenomenal. Agua de Jamaica the best.

Villa del Mar is a fantastic place for excellent tasting Mexican food. I can say that they have exceptional interesting salsa. One of there salsa is orange in color and packs some heat, it different – different enough to buy to go as well. I love there el pastor, and fish tacos. One think I can say and the reason for four stars is there quality has gone down. I can say this because I eat here for about two years. There plates seem to have gotten more sloppier or thrown together. There used to be more meat in dishes. And now less. Worth a try but jalos in my opinion better.

Yay! First Mexican restaurant I’ve been in that had lagunitas ipa, in quite a while. This place is pretty good for Mexican food. Good veggie burritos/chimichangas and I loved the fresh onion, broccoli and zucchini. Delicious sides of refried beans but the rice had weird unknown pieces in it that looked like potato or eek, lard?!! Not sure so I didn’t eat it. Chips didn’t taste fresh and salsa was super runny and only half full. Nice friendly staff. Overall, in a hurry? This is a good on the go Mexican joint.

Authentic Mexican food with a friendly family as staff. The owners are local members of our community and do good service to the community. The food and service are above average. The ambiance is average. Not too noisy to hold a meeting! I have held many meetings in this restaurant as we ate good food and talked. It may be the best Mexican food in Ukiah.

MId to late August coming back from our road trip-Stopped by this place as our last stop on the way home. Best Chili Rellenos we’ve ever had! We both got the combo plates. This will definitely be our go to stop on the way or coming back from up North. The place is immaculately clean and tidy. The artwork is captivatingly eccentric and beautifully done. This place looks smaller from the front outside but inside it is so spacious. The staff were pleasant, hard working, and helpful. Love this place! Don’t you love it when your first experience turns out to be super awesome? This was one of those cases. We are definitely coming back!

Great casual Mexican food restaurant on the heart of Ukiah. It’s family run and operated and they have super fast service. Usually the husband and wife are working, they’re great. I love the salsa here, tostada is great with rice and beans, fish tacos are tasty too! It’s a simple place, and that’s what I love about it. They are what they are and don’t try to change or be anything else. I like supporting this business. It’s never too busy which is a plus.

Consistently amazing fish tacos! $ 2.85. I usually buy one and split the filling into two fish tacos because two tortillas are provided.(I’m a light eater.) My kid loves the rolled chicken taquitos. $ 3.99. Fast and friendly service. Cool local artwork on the walls. We squeeze a lime onto the corn chips, add a little salt and dip into the spicy fresh salsa. Great value!

Stopped here driving through town. Just what we needed. Fast. Cheap. Salsa bar. The burrito was kind of loose though. The soap in the bathroom had a really strong smell. The art on the walls was awesomely weird. Enough for leftovers but I have a little stomach.

Pretty good Mexican food. One of the best in Ukiah if not the best in Ukiah. They have cool random art in the walls supporting local artist and has a cool beach theme that goes with the name.

So I decided to give this place a try, prices seemed reasonable, establishment was tidy. I ordered 2 steak & shrimp burritos and was charged for them. Why did I receive 2CHICKEN burritos??? I was rushing since I was on the clock but the burritos I received were subpar DON’T waste your money or time.

I had a busy morning in court, and saw the Villa Del Mar’s sidewalk sign for Taquitos, 5 for $ 5.49. I thought I’d give them a try, but when I got inside and read the menu I went for Huevos Rancheros. The dish was incredibly good. The potatos had just the right taste, fresh tomoatoes with the egg, corn tortillas. Yum. I had a Mexican coke with it. My sweetie had told me how good the Villa Del Mar is, but I didn’t pay much attention. But now that I’ve tasted the food, I’m a major fan. Put this place on your list if you are going to Ukiah. It is not fancy, it is not expensive. You will not get better Mexican food in the town, maybe not in the county.

We won’t go there again period. I had the fish tacos, beans, and rice. My husband had tacos beans and rice, and before he even bit into the tacos I knew they were going to be really bad. I could see how the grease had soaked into them and was dripping off. If he hadn’t been so hungry we would have got up and left. My fish tacos were greasy, too much crust and not enough fish. My beans were runny and barely warm as was the rice. Maybe i expect too much but this does not seem like a 4 star establishment. Ukiah really needs a decent Mexican food place.

I come back here every now and then for a break from my normal places, or if I’m close and in a hurry. While never disappointed, I’m never really excited about my food here. It’s good, not great. It’s consistently good. They have a decent little salsa bar. The service is always friendly. It’s missing something. The inside of the place kind or weirds me out. I feel like I’m walking down into a mineshaft, or a really dark cave. The wall decorations are a little strange. It seems to get darker the farther back you go. No windows. Oh, it’s dark in here… But the food is good. So I’ll be back to brave the cave, and I’ll leave feeling okay about the experience, but wishing it were a little better.

Nice people, always with a smile. Carnitas is good. I would come again, but would realize it won’t taste the same as before. Consistency of carnitas crispness has been different each time.

Hot and good tasting Mexican food. My girlfriend ordered a taco and enchilada dish and I ordered a two beef taco dish. We enjoyed our meals. My two beef tacos were prepared well. The shells were crunchy and filled me well with beef, tomatoes, cheese, and lettuce. Yummy! Villa Del Mar accommodated my request for no beans and double rice. I even received two pieces of potatoes. The seating area is clean, simple, and spacious. Frescia is available. Pepsi brand sodas can be purchased from the fountain or from cans or bottles. Good service. Good prices. Phone orders are welcomed. Take out is available.

Very good salsa bar. Many seafood items. Good flavor on all the dishes. Chile relleno was light on the cheese but had a perfectly cooked poblano as the chile. Pros: good salsa bar, including pickled jalapenos and carrots. Very good tasting meat. Many salad like options. Cons: Margarita of pretty low quality. Lot of bad art all over the walls.

One of my favorite places in town. The people who own it are very friendly and the food is always excellent. Finally a place in town that serves pickled carrots at their salsa bar(this is standard in every place in southern california, where I grew up, so it feels like home!). The fajitas are very delicious, as are the tacos, rolled tacos, etc. Seems to be a great place to go with a large group as the dining area is large and table can be moved around to accommodate. If I worked in downtown Ukiah, I would be going here for lunch all the time!
