Been here a few times while traveling and have always had a good experience. The fried fish is really good and the service is excellent.

I wish I had read the review about the brisket before I ordered it. I mean there was plenty of it, but I’ve never had a big pile sliced off and fried in bacon grease before. SMH! Service was good and the place was clean. If you are expecting BBQ, wait till you get to Memphis.

Passing through on the way to Texas my girlfriend and I stopped for the night at America’s Best Value Inn. We decided to get dinner here since the most hospitable hotel owner recommended it. I ordered the smoked chicken, very yummy, and my girlfriend orders the mushroom chicken dinner. that mushroom dinner was delicious! Chicken was moist and the mushrooms and sauce was right on point. the waitress was very friendly and courteous. I recommend this place.

We had the pulled pork, and spicy Italian beef sandwiches with fried mushrooms and corn nuggets for sides. Best bbq I have had in IL.

I would not advise the brisket. The sides are really good though. A lot of other customers had ordered the catfish, so that might be the route to go.
