Not exactly sure what I was eating. It was ok, only edible. Worst mac and cheese I’ve ever had. Maybe there are better things on the menu than what I was eating. If the coleslaw is a fail then they should just give up. For the most part it was kinda like eating mediocre food from your grandma who’s been stuck in a rut for years. I had to give a 2 because I didn’t think it deserved a 3

We made it to Old Crow for the first time for lunch recently. Ordered were the Large Pork Sandwich Plate with Cole Slaw and Fries, and ¼ Chicken White Meat with Toast. All perfectly cooked and with a nice subtle smoke flavor. The Pork was sliced with no sauce added. Sometimes at other BBQ joints slicing the Pork leaves it dry, not here. It was perfect. And not having the sauce applied is the way it should be. Let the customer put it on themselves. The Slaw was homemade and very tasty and with their selection of BBQ sauces fit nicely on the Sandwich. The Bun, it self, was fresh and large. The Chicken was perfectly moist with again a very subtle but noticeable smoke flavor. Slow smoking Chicken Breast can dry it out, but this was just right. The Garlic Toast that was served with the meal was great. Maybe a little thing, but in this case the Toast does deserve special mention. All menu items are prepared to order and in the case of the Toast it was obviously toasted for our order. It was hot, crisp and perfectly buttered with garlic seasoning. It was outstanding. Old Crow is a small, quaint restaurant that serves authentic home-style BBQ. Service is great and very friendly. The place is very clean and warm. Nice place in the country. Old Crow BBQ is highly recommended. We will return.

Been going to this place for years. My kids and I love coming here for turkey sandwiches and french fries. Also delicious sweet tea. We enjoy the bbq sauce and for dessert; they have a yummy red velvet cake. It is a little bit of a drive out of town plus outside appearance, place could use a bit of a touch up. However, very friendly servers, good hot food and serve in a timely matter.

Typical roadside joint but clean and easily accessible. Not a lot of character but then again one doesn’t eat character. Food was average for the genre. Pork ribs(large size, not baby backs) were not tough but not tender and the sliced pork plate was not hot but not cold. Decent everyday sweet sauce, applied at the table by the diner. Friendly and quite competent table service. Desert(peach cobbler) was an excellent example of what this desert should be.

Barbeque wasn’t even as good as Sonny’s but the dreamsicle cake was unique and very tasty.

Went there yesterday, got some take-out to bring home because I remembered it to be really good. Not anymore… it was terrible.

I have been going to Old Crow since forever. They even cater the local school functions. It is amazing old home bar-b-q. They have a pretty basic menu, slow cooked ribs, smoked turkey, ham, home made bbq sauce and always excellent fresh desserts. The actual restaurant looks like a little smoke house on the side of the road with a dirt parking lot. The right side is the take out window and the left is the actual restaurant. Hours are classic bbq joint hours: Wednesday-Sunday 11 – 8:30 dine in and 11 – 9 take out window.
