This place is definitely your local dive bar. Excellent portions, good food and several TV’s so you can hang out. The great thing about this place is the«locals». You get to hear what’s going on in the community and catch up on the gossip… Here’s why I’m a fan, they have several beers on tap throughout the seasons, especially Illusive Traveler(yeah baby, it’s all about the beer)!!! Did I say they have great lunch specials all the time for $ 6.95! Check it out.

Loved the food, jukebox compilation and the owners! Richie made us feel so welcome we’ll be back for Sunday’s Steak and Eggs breakfast! Order the specials they are top notch. Parking, Pool table and dart boards on site. Drinks are reasonably priced and the kitchen closes at 10 on weekdays and 11 on week nights.

Where do you start with a place like Aders? The staff? the food? I don’t know where but it’s all fantastic. The staff is always friendly polite and yes some actually remember my drink without me telling them what I want. The daily specials are really good. The chef makes alot of excellent dishes. Yes he’s not a cook. He’s an artist. Burgers are best hands down no matter what the press says. Atmosphere is enjoyable enough to bring the kids. No matter where you go this little spot in union beach is worth the stop. Ice cold beers delicious food. Only thing missing is you!

Great place, good food, super friendly people, super reasonable prices. Would most definitely go back. Hubby ordered something that wasn’t on the menu and was totally accomodated. I ordered wings(delicious) and a salad… loved it. My 3 kids all ordered burgers and fries… even though they enjoyed the burgers, it was obvious they were frozen patties. That is the only thing keeping my review a 4 star instead of 5.

My husband & I had the steak & eggs special for brunch this morning. Only $ 14.95. Includes a complimentary beverage. I had the Mimosa and my husband had the Bloody Mary. The steak was a hearty ribeye and the eggs were cooked to order. Cooked to perfection, great bang for the buck!!!

Let’s get one thing straight, this is a bar that serves food at reasonable prices. What were you expecting? Since Hurricane Sandy, it’s mostly a bar, as the main dining area is covered in tarps after 4′ of water rushed in. However, this is still a nice hole in the wall kinda place. Just be sure to keep your expectations low, they’re remodeling(for over a year now but…) The bartender and your waiter are the same person, so have some patience. Ader’s has a limited menu but what they do, they do right. Every night there are specials along with the regular menu. Monday is 50 cent Wings and 4 dollar Bar Pies, Tuesday is ½ price Burgers and two-for Appetizers, Wednesday is Pasta Night, Thursday is awkwardly called Meat & Potato(not sure what that means?) and Friday’s a Fish Fry. On Sunday mornings they have a Steak and Egg special which is pretty good. They did burn my scrambled eggs but not my friends, she had cheese added. I envy her still. However, the Bloody Mary’s(made to order) absolved them of all their sins. Caveat Emptor. The burgers are great, hand made at a good size and not frozen hockey pucks. The flounder sandwich is excellent with a panko crust(my favorite item). Both clam chowders taste homemade and are quite good(a rarity these days). They are also known for their penne vodka. Unfortunately, the roast beef and turkey are both deli style so beware. Also, I suspect the wings and beer battered fish comes in a prepared frozen bag. The fries were good & hot but I think the mashed potatoes may be instant or a combination of both. Overall this is a nice little bar with a friendly crowd and decent food at very reasonable prices. I’ll be happy to give them back a star once they re-open their dining room and deck with full waiter service. Did I mention they have a deck for smokers?

If you want to find the white-trash, low life Union Beachers, than Aders is the place to find them.

My wife and I along with my 9 year old son came here because of a coupon. I wouldn’t go back with him again, since it’s a bar basically, but we had the coupon and decided to stick it out at one of the tables. This place is obviously coming back from hurricane Sandy and has many construction things in the works, but my wife and I were happy to give back with a visit to this local place and were not disappointed with the food. If you go, you must have the french onion soup, I think it’s the best I’ve ever had. Pretty sure she added Marsala wine to it, but it was wonderful. I forget the name of the burger I ordered, but it had fried onions, cheese and bacon. This thing was the biggest burger I had ever gotten anywhere in the area and awesome. My wife got the fish and chips and was equally happy. Nice portions and great food, but you’re going into a local bar, not a restaurant. Although it looks like they’re fixing up an outdoor dinning area which will be nice for a family so you’re not sitting at the bar area.

Ader’s is a great place to go and relax. Some of the nicest people I have ever met both go to relax and meet friends and also look forward to the friendly hospitality of everyone of the employees. I always look forward to my visits there. Especially on Wednesdays with DJ Pete. And the great free entertainment from the local young professionals. It’s why I go again and again.

Fun, neightborhood bar. Great food, pasta night is a big deal., Bruna is a great cook. Karaōke on Wednesday is a good time, bring some friends along. A lot of TVs with all the games on around the bar. Free WiFi if you need to take care of some business. Be sure to catch the Richie Moe Show if at all possible!!! Not far from the parkway if you need a happy hour spot on your commute home.
