The Union Bridge General Store was a pleasant surprise. The store sells knick knacks, wall art, jewelry, lotion, rag rugs, place mats, blankets, and all types of gift items. The most interesting items to me were the books about the local history of Frederick, Taneytown, and other towns. I spent far longer than intended reading through the book about Frederick, which showed photos of Market Street in the late 1800s and early 1900s(including an amazing flood photo!), and many photos of schools, buildings, and houses that are still recognizable today. I will definitely return to the store to purchase gifts, and quite possibly some of the books on local history.
