TL: DR — Got 6 vinyl windows + 1 patio sliding door. Good Quality so far, very cheap. Follow up with me to see how satisfied I am in a few months/year to give the test of time. Very attentive/thorough staff. Longer: House Remodel, incompetent contractor/PM, incompetent glass guy — however our glass guy did manage to tell us that we should call Charley and get glass from here. Oddly enough, glass/windows is a very NON-TRANSPARENT industry(ironic, since it’s umm. .. glass), in that you can get quotes from extremely cheap to extremely expensive. we got quotes for the above quantities, that varied by $ 20k. I sh*t you not. varied by $ 20k. I needed double paned, coated, tempered, sliding windows. Nothing fancy, but wanted something good and doesn’t look like crap. I will be living here forever, and spending a few hundred $K to finish a living space — and don’t want to skimp on el cheapo windows, but don’t want to spend $ 20k on them either — folks, that’s the price of a cherry version of my dream car — BMWE39M5. I did my due diligence(ie searching on Unilocal + asking friends/family) and got 2 other quotes just to see where the prices fell. A-Plus wasn’t the cheapest, but the ones that someone referred me to, were also crappy windows. No place is able to give you an «approx $/window» ballpark figure. Maybe that is standard practice, and maybe it’s not, I have no clue — I’m a relatively clueless homeowner — but at least A-Plus came in at an extremely reasonable price, exactly as measured/needed, and on time. They even do delivery to SF for a small fee. Charley and Rachel have been very responsive via email or phone, which is great — customer service seems like it’s a «nice to have» these days, and they actually reply to email, and pick up the phone — definitely worth even the price of admission. I can’t speak to the longevity/quality of the stuff, since I have yet to move in, but do feel free to ask about my experience if you need to. Due to incompetence of my contractors, the windows were installed in October, and now it’s July(9 months later), and the windows are still holding up in terms of getting washed, being opened and closed by our workers, and still look fine. For now it gets a 4, and if it stands the test of time, it’ll earn a 5. When we redo the other windows, we will be calling them back — and it’ll be twice as many next time.

I am a professional constructor and work with A-Plus for years. My experience with them are good. They are pretty responsible. My customers always like their products. Some of my customers went to other window&door companies to compare the prices and qualities, but most of them say A-Plus has a better qualities for a lower price. Very nice, reliable company. I would recommend anyone.
