Friendly staff. I know 0 Spanish and they neared with me while ordering. The steak fajitas were wonderful. Got it to go. It took a bit but I don’t mind. I like when they cook the food when it’s ordered. As opposed to having it sitting around all day

I am a vegetarian, but i drop by when I see fresh fried churros right at the pedestrian window! I cant eat most of the stuff here, but their deserts are excellent and the coffee is good. The best price is the PRICE! Eat like a king/queen for $ 10. Fresh orange juice is great.

It’s a short order food joint. There are tons of them on the avenue. Pio Pio just happens to be one of the better ones. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, it is a great place to get good food exceptionally quick and for a fair price. Granted, they aren’t serving up gourmet food but its great for what it is. The best part about this restaurant is that they deliver entire meals. A rarity for many restaurants in this neighborhood. Naturally, there is a $ 10 minimum order price for delivery. Nevertheless, it’s perfect for those nights when you want a proper meal but don’t want to cook.

Went here for lunch today for the first time with a friend. The waitress gave us our menus right away and came back about 10 seconds later asking if we were ready(I hadn’t even removed my coat yet) we said we needed a few minutes she came back 10 seconds later. this went on about 2 more times. I ordered the Ropa Vieja with white rice and black beans, my friend ordered the grilled Talapia with a salad. The food came right away I’ll give them that but I’m not sure if that’s because it’s pre-made or because they are quick. I didn’t enjoy mine at all, it was a soupy mess that looked terrible and the taste was overwhelming. The white rice was hard and dried out, the beans were edible but lacked flavor. I had mine wrapped up because I didn’t enjoy it but thought my boyfriend at home might plus it’s was $ 8.00 so I didn’t want to throw it away. My friend continued eating but when she was done we sat with our dirty dishes on the table for about 20 minutes and we signaled the waitress several times. It wasn’t crowded and it’s a pretty small place so we couldn’t understand her lack of attentiveness. Finally another server came over and cleared the plates and brought my friend a café con leche. While she had her coffee we chatted and I saw someone go to the bathroom and come out. Then one of the waitress’s went in there, motioned for another waitress to come see what she was looking at and they both walked away with looks of disgust on their faces. About 5 minutes later I went to the bathroom and saw why they looked so disgusted; someone had pissed all over the place, on the toilet, the floor, the walls. I’m not sure what happened in there but someone had some trouble. The thing that bothers me is I had to clean it up even though the two waitresses had just been in there and seen what happened. This is unacceptable to me. After that we waited an absurdly long time for our check and had to again flag down a waitress(not ours) the bill was $ 18.01 and my friend put in 2 $ 20’s so she could get change for a tip. We waited again for too long and my friend finally went up to the counter to clear her own coffee cup and plate and said«you never gave me my change» and the two waitresses looked at each other and said«oh you wanted change?» seriously?! no ladies you are such amazing servers we wanted to leave you a $ 22 tip. get real. won’t be going back here ever.
