We are regulars here because we love the agedashi tofu, tempura roll, salmon skin roll and Hawaiian roll. People are friendly, the place is clean and food is fresh. Too bad they are close until May. I hope it will be the same food when they open.

Was hesitant to try this place as its not usually busy and there’s many mediocre reviews. Ordered salmon and sashimi combo for dinner. The miso soup was fine. The side salad was fresh and crisp. The 3 pieces of salmon and 3 pieces of tuna sashimi were pretty good and fresh and the perfect temperature and size. I liked it. Was pleasantly surprised. Not sure if this is a fluke but the sashimi was pretty good. I’ll come back and try more sashimi. Hopefully I won’t be disappointed next time.

Great sushi and rolls. Korean BBQ is also very tasty. Good service and big area. I used to come for their lunch buffet special, but they don’t offer it anymore… I might come back to have some of their rolls again though. Recommended!

The food isn’t bad but the raw sushi is not fresh. Worst part was the all you can eat for $ 18.95 is actually $ 25.95 if you want nigiri and specialty rolls but each person has to pay that even if they want BBQ. And if you have a kid it’s 9.95 + 7 if the adults do the $ 25.95. Wait actually the worst part was I didn’t eat the rice that came with the nigiri(only 2 pieces) and the waitress said please don’t waste rice. It’s ok one time but not next. We couldn’t eat anymore and wanted to pack our last roll but they said we couldn’t so we ate parts of it so it wouldn’t look like we wasted it and get charged $ 5 dollars more per person. Never coming back here ever again.

I won’t be coming back, this place is not worth my time or money. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The quality of fish was mediocre. Rice was a little old. I felt the spicy tuna roll might have spoiled, or was just tasting funky. The absolute worst part of all this, was after i brought it to their attention, they charged me extra for not finishing it. cause I was doing that all you can eat thing. Yeah, it’s that kinda shitty restaurant

Friendly and quick services. I usually come here with my husband every weekend and sometimes week days. The food is always consistent and fresh. Now they add some more on the menu… Korean dishes like Korean BBQ and soup.

Hate to say… tried this place earlier today. First thing I ate today and now I believe I have food poisoning. Not happy.

All you can eat sushi on Monday-Thursday. They close at 2:30, and I think they re-open for dinner. There were 4 of us and it was about 95 dollars all together with tax and tip. a little over 23/person. It was definitely worth it. They let you order 2 rolls at at time per person. We ordered around 12 rolls that had 8 pieces each. We made sure we ordered all the specialty rolls too. They weren’t the most spectacular looking rolls, but they were definitely good. Our 4th friend came a little after we ordered our first 4 rolls. She didn’t even know what the rolls were and thought they were all good. It also comes with soup and salad while you wait for your first round of sushi! Not only was it all you can eat sushi, but they had some appetizers on there too such as goyza and even pork bulgogi.(They have korean bbq too apparently.) Just ask for the all you can eat menu!

All you can eat for $ 25.95. They give us a big lengthy menu book but the list for AYCE is very limited. We can’t even order Unagi nigiri for 2 pieces, instead the only Unagi is rolls. The rolls are too big with so much rice. Quality is just ok. Definitely won’t go back or recommend this place to anyone.

If I would live in Nebraska probably I could rate 5 stars that place, but in Bay Area there is huge competition between sushi places, and every one trying to be better then other competition, so that place is kinda average, it took long time to cook first, second menu looks like in 1960s, food 3 stars I didn’t feel it’s super fresh, interior is old, my table was not wiped completely after last customer, was kinda sticky

Koi before used to have a sushi boat and when I came in this time I was surprised to see it gone. What else has changed from a previous visit is that it is no longer solely a Japanese restaurant but they also serve Korean BBQ on their menu as well. What mostly appealed to me was the huge white banner hanging outside that read«ALLYOUCANEAT $ 18.95.» At this point of the day I was starving so a buffet sounds like a good idea. We ordered a sushi buffet, but you also have an alternative for a Korean BBQ buffet. It was the weekend, so weekend rate was $ 25 per person and you order 2 items as a time but you get the order as much as you want. Some other limitations to the buffet service is that there is a 90 minute limit and everyone in your party has to order the same Type of Buffett. So my boyfriend and tried doing one sushi and 1 Korean BBQ thinking we could bite off of each other but it was not allowed. I mean both buffets are the same price anyways, right? And he really only wanted sushi and I really only wanted BBQ. We ended up both getting sushi buffets but there were still some select BBQ options available. Overall quality of food is good; the sushi is fresh and quality. Even the Korean BBQ was up to par. The only downside so many rules to the buffet.

Got the 3 item lunch bento and it was only $ 13 not including tax. The fish was decent, but what do you expect with cheap pricing?

It’s been a long time since I’ve been back to this restaurant and much has changed. Too much rice in the rolls. Quality of fish is mediocre. «All you can eat» is not really all you can eat. Rice seems a little old… I was interested when I saw their«all you can eat $ 18.95» sign right until I sat down to look at the menu. The all you can eat policy is so strange. The staff although nice and attentive they seem to assume you’ve had their all you can eat and didn’t bother explaining how it worked until I asked. Apparently there are three types of all you can eat: Sushi $ 18.95 very limited menu. $ 25.95 adds all you can eat with one roll per order from«Special Rolls Menu» and Nigri. BBQ all you can eat $ 18.95 Now the all you can eat there is «no limit» amount unless you order duplicates so for example we ordered Sake Nigri and Hamachi Nirgri twice separately we weren’t able order anymore Sake or Hamachi Nigri. Now as an Asian American for someone to refuse my order in a restaurant I feel strange and offended this isn’t communist North Korea. Won’t be coming back, not worth my time or money. I would not recommend this place to anyone that I know.

Love Koi Sushi Boat! Their combination dinner is actually the best deal! Big serving and good price! They have fresh tuna sashimi! And love their sushi selections.

My family and I have been going here for a long time. I’ve known this place for most of my life, I’m 17. The service and food is great. Although recently the name of the restaurant has changed. It is now called«Koi Sushi &BBQ». It’s now Japanese and Korean food. The management is still the same though.

I came here for a business lunch last week. I ordered the 2 item bento because it seem safe to order compared to sushi rolls and raw fish choices. The place just doesn’t scream fresh fish sell here. I don’t know why, just a feeling I get. Also, the water tasted SOOBAD. I took one sip and decided it was not drinkable. Not sure how to explain the taste, perhaps it came out of dirty pipes? anyway, i resorted to ordering a spirit. Price was decent. $ 35 including tax and tip for 2 people.(Lunch price)

I typically choose the option of take home order, but I decided to try it out for dinner over there. The service is pretty bad since when our table asked for utensils, they did not give it to us, so we ended up having to get it ourselves. There is only one waiter working, so the service was just horrible. Also, our salad was extremely cold because the chefs took it out of the freezer, and when we requested for new salads, it took about half an hour until we received it. The food is mediocre, but I could have gotten a lot better food for a better price at some other place nearby. I did not really enjoy my experience here and will probably not return.

Had the 3 item bento… chicken teriyaki, gyoza and tempura. Food came out fairly fast. It wasn’t hot, it was more like room temperature. It was tasty, but I love my food to be hot. Service was on point, no complaints there. Since it was my first time today, I’d give them another shot.

This place is alright. The bento boxes are good. the salmon and chicken terriyaki is good. The sushi is alright. Today was the first time I had just sashimi there and the fish didn’t taste that fresh. It wasn’t cold… it was like room temperature. The cuts were smaller than other places. I also found a bone in one of the pieces. WHAT A TURNOFF. I didn’t even want to eat the rest of it. I just finished the salad it comes with and it was enough to get me full thankfully. I’d probably eat the rice plate stuff rather than sushi here.

I used to come to Koi in high school but haven’t been back until recently for their happy hour. They have a lot of good deals on their sushi menu which is offered everyday. The majority of their sushi rolls are $ 3 cheaper during happy hour!(I uploaded a picture of some of their happy hour deals) Koi has a big selection of sushi rolls to choose from. I’ve tried their dragon roll, sexy in the city roll and ichiro roll which were all decent. I admit that I like Americanized rolls that have mayo sauce or are baked. If this is the type of sushi you like, Koi is your place. I also tried their tuna poke which came with large pieces of fish. Not the best poke I’ve had, but not bad. Service here is just okay. I didn’t like how they were quick to bring the check without clearing any dishes that we were obviously done with. The last time I went, they didn’t clear any dishes at all. I also had to ask for a water refill. It wasn’t busy, so I don’t see why some basic things like refilling water can’t be done. Koi isn’t my favorite sushi spot but their happy hour prices are pretty good so I’d only come back here during happy hour.
