Lane Bryant

I love Lane Bryant fashion for plus size girls. The clothes on sale here are OK but don’t expect items on the rack to go on sale until next season. The changing rooms are clean and spacious so I always feel like I have room to rock out an outfit I want to try on. The store overall is clean and I never feel like it’s stuffy or gross inside. The ladies here are also very helpful when it comes to looking for your size in clothing.
I would give this place a ⁵⁄₅ if it were not for the shoes. The shoes here are not good quality and I would not suggest buying a pair. However the clothing quality is very good and I love their blouses and jackets.

Store return policy is RIGID. I purchased a few items while on vacation. I decided not to keep them, i went to this store to return after being mislead on the website that their Hayward location was still open. After purchasing the items using my debit card. My options for returns would be store credit or the credit card used? The debit card used was compromised, I explained that the card used was a debit card. I come in here a lot, but honestly I don’t feel welcomed here. It is close to home, so i make an exception to continue buying from this particular store. They are not to friendly and I have to always ask can I try on this or where can I find this… I would say that i may have to go back to shopping at the Fremont hub, they are friendly and have lots of varieties of clothing. They also don’t give me a hard time with using coupons…

Store has improved with new management team

Lane Bryant is notorious for poor service. I have become used to being ignored while shopping and looking for different sizes and colors, waiting forever while someone with a key is found to open a dressing room and standing in line forever while they take ridiculously long to check people out. They don’t have to give good service, I suppose, because larger ladies are limited in where they can shop. Even though I already know I am not going to get great service at any Lane Bryant, this store still managed to disappoint me further. Unbelievable. Poor service, clothes hung incorrectly (all hangers coming from inside pole, not hung on outside) and unfriendly.

I know it’s a «smaller» store, but come on! It seems like they never have anything other stores have and it’s hard to find my size too. Staple items should still be in the store. Step it up!

I have been to this LB a couple times and every time I have had issues with how this store is run and the lack of awareness from the employees. You can clearly see that this store is mismanaged and that the staff do not care that the customer is properly cared for.

I had an excellent experience here. The first time I went in was with my mom and received amazing customer service from Melissa. She was super friendly and helpful, and filled us in about some of the things we were looking at when we had questions. She is the reason I came back to this specific store to get fitted for a bra. She was attentive and really caring the entire time she helped me and made sure I knew how to care properly for my purchased garments. The other women in the store are also very nice and seemed caring towards the other customers that were there. Excellent service, will definitely be going back.

Not even one star. The rudest customer service. I miss the other employees who were there. No greeting while entering the store, no if I can can you find something, waited for dressing room. Refuse to let me keep the hangers, and refuse to let me rest room. All the years I have shop there I will not return with the management or staff. The past always help politely, even the restroom wasn’t off limits. They acted like I was going to steal something. OY! I told them to keep their clothes I won’t be back. Going to call corporate if that will do any good? Sorry Lane Bryant but I spend my hard earned cash to someone who deserves it, someone who is friendly and polite.

I shop here frequently, and the reason I do is primarily that their clothes are in my size and are professional. The prices are high, so I take advantage of the barrage of coupons I receive in the mail and by email. I love the bra selection; they have the best fit for my frame.
The customer service is fairly lacking in both this location and the Stoneridge Mall store. They are far from warm and inviting. Personally, I like being left alone when I shop so I don’t mind it. However, it can be difficult to get a fitting room or have a question answered in a timely manner.
I scored it a 3 because as a large corporation they could do a lot better with customer service. Also, their clothes are really overpriced.

I went into Lane Bryant today because I noticed in the window they now have shoes and they go up to a size 12. I am a size 11 usually have to shop on-​line so I was thrilled to walk into the store. I tried on shoes and decided not to buy them because I didn’t like the way the front looked. As I turned around to leave the store I said thanks have a nice day Melissa stopped me and nicely with a smile on her face asked our those our shoes you have on or yours because they look similar to ours. Well I had on calf length flat boots in black no zipper, I tried on some booties in grey with a heel and zipper shoes looked no where near similar and they don’t sale anything like them in the store. So Melissa inconspicuously asked me if I was stealing without asking me. I did in no way decide to act on it in a foul manner (which was my intention), I walked over showed her the shoes I tried on (as she followed closely behind), her face kind of dropped and she said oh well those are cute too.
I left the store and realized I forgot her name so I called back to speak to Heather the store manager to get the sales associate name and district manager # so that I could call the district manager she informed me that she could not give me the number, she was adamant. I then asked for the corporate number so I could speak to someone there. She said she would place me on hold but in-​turn she hung up. So of course I added that to my complaint. I called back and she gave me the number to the District Manager whom she originally claimed she couldn’t release the number for. Needless to say I left a message for the district manager to call me back and next call is corporate.
I will definitely not be shopping at lane bryant for a while, if I ever decide to return it will not be Union City.
