I always go for their menudo amd sometimes their kaldereta. though their caldereta has more fats than meat. I love their menudo. I tried their camote que too but i was so dissapointed, the sugar on it is melted makes the camote saggy. I also tried their paksiw na bangus which taste good. Their food is not that bad, they are very generous in putting food for take out. I would still comeback to buy their food whenever i feel lazy cooking.

This place is okay. I always get food to go because the seating area does not look clean. I usually order kare kare, lechon kawali and okoy. They give you generous portions for the price you pay. The okoy can be a hit or miss. I guess it depends on how long ago the okoy was cooked. The turn over of trays for the lechon kawali seems to be fast because they are always crispy when I order them. They fill the container over the top. I tried the breakfast. The fish is good. I just wish you can your eggs over easy.

Sometimes it’s good, but most of the time it’s really bad. Decent food. Decent prices. Horrific service in every way. You’ll be lucky if you can even get someone here to help you to place your order.

I think these people just try to cut corners instead of proudly representing filipino cuisine. The caldereta had 80% fat, 15% meat, and a teeny carrot and olive… the Si sig tasted like they threw a lump of coal in the mixture! Its suppose to taste more like barbeque not coals! When i was eating the sisig, my plastic spoon started to have a black color to it, what the hell?! Also the rice is really dry which they pack on about 3 unnecessary cups. The only thing i truly like is the melon juice, but instead of serving it up fresh like they used to, they have them premade and sitting in a fridge. So disappointed.

Nope. Just no. Ok fine, i admit i like the Caldereta here… [which is a guilty pleasure, tbh.] Thr only thing about the caldereta is ai barely get any meat. Its usually fat. i really like the taste though so i just deal with it. But other than that, this place is ugh! We ordered sisig one time and OMG. It did not taste anything like sisig. It literally tasted like burnt coals. This place used to be good but idk what happened and they’re just real bad now. Also, tables are really dirty whenever I come here. and I never come on their busy hours… so idk why they cant even clean it?

Obviously they only cater to Filipinos. Even if I am Filipino, the stupid name is odd. And really, one can ignore the name if the food was good, but like one reviewer mentioned, he only comes for the ukoy. And they have so many dishes to choose from. For a place that has such a large selection, it is quite a disappointment to note that there are not many good choices here.

One star for the nice lady who helped me. Their food is disgusting! I got the two entrée plate which was dinuguan and sisig w. rice. For 7 bucks it wasnt worth it at all! The dinuguan was sour lemony and tasted really old. On top of that I found something i couldnt figure out what it was but I am for sure it wasnt edible! I lost my appetite so i threw it away. The sisig was really mushy and the majority of it was just fat! Oh yea and it looked like it was mixed w. a different type of meat/dish not your typical sisig. I am never coming back here ever again!!!

Manila Good Ha Restaurant shouldn’t be using the word«Good» as customer enticement because it’s quite misleading especially if one is not familiar of Filipino cuisine; this has to be one of the«worst» Filipino restaurants in the Bay Area. Somehow…the establishment actually believed that most Filipinos(are either retarded or an idiot) that will accept distasteful or horrible meals. Primary… their«Pinakbet» and«Kari-Kari» are made with an animal road kill; it has to be the lowest USDA grade of meat. If you examine the main ingredient which is… the meat(if you can find it) is 90% blubber and/or fat; the servers will sell it to you without hesitation or shame… and then give you a sarcastic smile. Now, their«Dinuguan» is another gross of mishandling and preparing one of Philippines’ favorite dishes(especially mine]. Manila Good Ha Restaurant preparer has the sincere desire to throw in several gallons of «suka»(vinegar) either to kill the taste of the humongous fat or you, the customers. The taste of suka doesn’t leave your mouth until you gargle several bottles of Listerine or Scope but be aware… your entire upper set of teeth might have been dissolved by the suka(vinegar). Now if you’re a type of person that doesn’t like to have people talking to you… then…eat Manila Good Ha’s «Dinuguan»; it will change the smile on your face.

Satisfaction NOT guaranteed! I ate at this establishment last week and had dinuguan which was terrible. You might as well drink vinegar and be merry. I consulted with management and they knew it was bad and will not eat it as well. So why serve an entreé they knew that was bad??? I returned the bad dinuguan and asked for a replacement of a fresher entrée, and they said NO. I asked them to throw mine out. You’re better of just ordering the chicken BBQ which is by far the only thing good there and the only«star» this place will receive. From your friendly visitor, a NYC critique.

I went here after grocery shopping at Island Pacific and wanted to see if this may be our lunch spot. It was my first time, so I saw the choices — a lot of choices and it look really good. The owner asked«Can I help you?», so I started what we want to order — little did I know she asked«what size?» and I said a small for kare kare — there was oxtail, sitaw(string beans), beef, pork tripe and some peanut sauce with a lot of aswete and annato oil for color. Sayang because a lot of hearty ingredients but no flavor. No bagoong or some patis. It totally lacked flavor. sisig — this is not very good too because it had the chargrilled flavor but the pork fat and pork was just steamed but the onions that was chopped inconsistently and some jalapenos was a good addition. However, it lacked some vinegar, and the pork fat was not crispy and cooked well done. It was too fatty and mushy. I would skip it next time. steamed rice 1 order of fresh lumpla with their sweet peanut sauce — I would buy the fresh lumpia but the peanut sweet sauce lacked flavor(it was too sweet, but there was no garlic and lacked some chopped peanuts) Overall, most of the dishes looked really excellent but all of the flavors were missing, lacking. They should have added more garlic, peanuts or peanut butter and not crimp on the key ingredients for flavor. I am not going to go back here again unless they step up on the seasoning and flavors. Cleanliness of their forks, and spoons is yucky because I was trying to find a fork, and then I pull it out of the holding receptable. I saw there was tiny debris of oil and said yuck. This place isn’t as clean as it used to be and thought they lowered their reputation. then I ordered a regular drink which is small like 12 oz, she also said«this is only size we carry.» After looking at the drink — that’s small. After eating — my stomach didn’t feel to good. I had upset stomach might be the sisig that I ate, and the kare kare. Service is a 2.5 because the owner and his son is on the line. The lady owner was attentive but I felt she was just pushy to sell. Son was the just helping out his mother — got customers orders but not going to the register ringing up their orders. I guess the son doesn’t know the process and was not properly trained. They don’t tell you the process of ordering on their restaurants, and assumed you know what to buy. You have to tell them how you want it like have it for here, ask a lot of questions but I was mesmerized by how the food looks because thought it was good. But after buying and ordering the food — it was not. Ambience is 3 — your typical Filipino turo turo spot Cleanliness is 2 — the dining area is clean, but the forks and spoons are yucky with a little debris of oil or something. I will never go back again here.

Just came here for breakfast and had a horrible experience. First off, the service is horrendous given that the worker did not acknowledge or greet me. Secondly, my order of tapsilog was over-cooked and bland. Thirdly, when I asked for a box, the lady mimicked my voice and laughed. I felt completely disrespected and will never support this place again.

I was so not satisfied! I ordered the bungus silog style. My sister ordered sisig silog style, and my brother in law got the longsilog. 1. The garlic rice still had some peel left on the garlic. 2. The sisig was mainly all fatty! Tasted mushy 3. The eggs were extremely well done. Though my nephew did like it. 4. Lastly my bungus, I did enjoy the bungus but a bit after my stomach didn’t feel too good. Garlic rice would have been good if we didn’t have to take out peels from our mouths. Be sure when you ask for the breakfast let them know not to cook the eggs well done, unless you like them like that.

This place is hit and miss. The last time we were here for breakfast, I had the Tosilog and the hubby had the Bangsilog. The DH and I both loved the garlic fried rice. However, I did not care for the tocino. The tocino was so dry and chewy that I really did not detect any flavor. It really should be moist, tangy and a little sweet. My jaw got tired from all that chewing. I like my eggs over easy but they were pretty well done. I guess I should have specified that I wanted them over easy as they are cooked when ordered. It would have been nice to have been able to break that creamy yolk on the rice! My husband liked the Daing na Bangus or Marinated Milkfish. It’s tangy and garlicky and the belly part was especially yummy! They do give you a very generous portion of rice and meat/fish, so you will not go hungry. We could have easily shared a plate. At another time, I’ve ordered their Lechon Kawali or deep fried pork belly cubes and those were good. I usually would order that to go, pop it in the oven when I get home and eat that with Mang Tomas lechon sauce. I’ve had their Dinuguan too and I have to say that it was too sour for me. I prefer the Dinuguan at Red Ribbon. Ive also ordered Pancit Bihon here for a party and that was quite good. This is not a fancy place. It’s more like a Turo Turo(point point) where you point to things you want to order. They have starches like rice and noodle dishes, a variety of meat dishes, lumpia and seafood on the steam table. I have not tried many of the stews as they look a little too fatty. Perhaps they can spoon off the fat that rises on the top. That should make them more appetizing.

I frequent this spot not only because it’s right around the corner from my house but their Melon Juice and Coconut Juice is the bomb! I literally come here every weekend just to grab a cup or two. And only for $ 2.50 each. Their food is alright, always plenty of variety but definitely not as bomb as their drinks. Haha.

I remember while growing up I use to help my mom in the kitchen make cassava suman. Unfortunately, making them is so time consuming that I will probably never try to make them myself. So, it’s one of those things I have to search for whenever I’m at a Filipino restaurant or store. That being said, I was so excited to find them here. I went ahead and bought 2 packages, each package contained 2 suman wrapped together with cellophane. I brought them home and was ready to indulge in one my favorite desserts. I sliced through the plastic wrap and pulled the pair apart only to find that they were moldy and furry! Unfortunately, they were wrapped so well that you could not see the mold beginning to take hold of the entire dessert. Sadly, both packages had to be thrown out as I didn’t think it was worth driving all the way back to complain and try to get a refund. Now, it does make me wonder how long all those other desserts have been sitting out there on the counters and shelves! Hmmm…

Downgraded to 3 stars Sometime between my last update and now, the okoy changed and I’ll occasionally get this soft and doughy center that is quite unappetizing. So I’ll normally eat all the crispy parts and toss out the center. It used to be one of my favorite items on the menu too =\

Please view my pictures to see why this establishment gets ONE star.: Aside from the food being absolutely gross, this place has sanitation problems. I want to sick the county health inspectors on this place. Our duty as Unilocalers is to provide fellow Unilocaler’s with accurate information that will be useful to them when visiting(or deciding to not visit) a business. My uncle ordered ginitaan from this place, because my grandma LOVES it. Upon mixing the contents of his order, he found NOTONE, but MULTIPLEPUBICHAIRS. He went back to the restaurant and told them what happened, ANDTHEYJUSTLAUGHEDATHIM. Very, very unprofessional, very alarming, and very DISGUSTING. I know that this story is hearsay, but he really has no reason to lie. We are Filipinos, and our family loves to support fellow Filipinos.(Like Cherry Garden! YAY!) But this place and these people are just HORRIBLE. SHUTEMDOWN.
