This company advertised rental mobile homes. Looking for one I contacted them, they assured me that they had several open and ready to move into. I went to speak with them to find out that the truth was they had 2 that they were working on that were NOT ready to move into. I was assured that one would be ready to move into that night. This is where it got shady… The one that they assured me would be ready was a 2 bedroom, but a 3 bedroom would be ready in a week… The«contract» was falsely filled out… I was told I would be getting the 3 bedroom that is what was on the contract but was told I could move in the 2 bedroom that night while they worked on the other one, I didn’t like the sound of that but was assured it wasn’t a problem and would«just be easier» this way… So I paid the deposit and the rent on the 3 bedroom. I went to get the water and electricity turned on in the 2 bedroom like they told me to, in my name to find out that the previous tenant who had lived there for several years, had been stealing both the water and electricity. In order to get the electricity and water turned on the meters had to be inspected and of course repaired. After several trips back and forth, several phone calls and most of the day I was assured that the lights, water and rental would still be ready that night. Off to get my things I went… Upon returning with my belongings several hours later I find not only was it not ready to move into it was in worse shape than it was earlier and I couldn’t move in. Back to storage with my things I went. Next day I call to check on the situation several times leaving messages with no response… I decided to drive over there again to check on things to find it worse with no one working on it and no one around anywhere. Day 3 of paying rent on a place I can’t live in… Paying for the electricity they are running power tools on and the water they are cleaning and flushing the toilet with I go back over again… Hoping that that finally I can move into the place that is «mine»… Not so much. When I arrive there is actual people there claiming to be working but I don’t see them doing anything. I walk up to the door and was told«Good news! You can probably move in tomorrow night!» To which I replied… «No Sir I want my damn money back. When you start off doing business like this it will only get worse or continue and I won’t deal with it.» I then took pictures. I finally was reluctantly given a check for my money back which is in another company’s name… Not the company I «rented» from but a Troy Rentals 2981 N. County home rd. Union City Tennessee 38261 I would NOT suggest doing business with EITHERONE of them.
