Came in needing to have my tire fixed after running over some metal and right away I was greeted very nicely by Daniel and took care of me from start to finish. Although i spent more than I anticipated, I felt comfortable and safe driving off.
All 3 guys that helped me were amazing and went above and beyond. I will be coming back to buy more tires for my truck.

I give them a 3-​stars because I came in needing 4 tires installed in January. I got there at 8am (opening) at it took about 4 hours. However, the ladies there were very professional, courteous and helpful. The free wifi made it easy for me to work remotely and the waiting area was clean and pleasant.
They brought fruit and cookies which was also nice. I would have given a 4 star rating if it didn’t take so long. I would have also given 4 stars if they said I had that I had a certain amount of customers with reservations ahead of me. Instead, they just say we don’t know how long it will take because and make general comments to be prepared for a wait. Just a little more explanation would be helpful. All in all a good experience and will return.

I made a 3pm appointment online to put on 2 new front tires. When I arrived on time for my appointment, I was told to come back at 6pm because they are running 3 hours behind schedule. Why bother to make an appointment if they are not going to honor it? Also, they could’ve called and told me they were running behind instead of waiting until I arrived for my appointment. Lousy attitudes and service!

Total waste of time at Pep Boys. 1^st I went in at 8am, they argued with me that I have to pay for a 69.99 diagnostic 1^st. Then I got customer service on the line because at no part of the add does it state or imply that there would be a fee for this and then they said the diagnostic is 39.99. Okay, so then they take 4 hours to do a diagnostic to tell me that the clutch replacement is in fact 704 plus other stuff taking it over 1,000. And they wouldn’t be able to do it today. Total waste of time. They couldn’t even explain why they were including additional labor that should of been included and they couldn’t even show me a car that they could do it for at the advertised price. Price gougers and thieves. Manager didn’t even want to come in and talk to me or explain it himself.

They said the diagnostic was mandatory if I wanted them to do any kind of work, but the price say nothing about a diagnostic. And they only lowered the price because I talked to cut service. Customer service lied and told me not all shops do this and then when I repeated what I said, they said it was because they saw my car and a diagnostic was needes. I said how, they haven’t even moved my car from the parking lot yet.

First time here. Up from SoCal on business. Super helpful and provided answers to all my questions. Evie, aka «NAILS» is awesome. Please ask for her if your in need of some tires.

Came in to get some floor mats and got assistance from a few associates that really made my shopping experience pleasant! Will for sure return and recommend

This is my second time at Pep Boys (in Union City) and their service is top notch!
My first visit was two months ago for an oil change and tire puncture repair… Daniel helped me out and was really nice and you can definitely see he really cares about his customers and their cars. He gave me recommendation services to take care of on my next visit and things to watch out for. He didn’t try to push any unnecessary services, which has happened at other auto service shops.
My recent visit was this morning. Daniel had recommended during my last visit to think about getting a headlight restoration done. My headlights have been clouded and I’ve tried everything to clean them. I decided to do the headlight restoration and my goodness, I am truly amazed! The roads are so much brighter now… it made a huge difference! Highly recommended if your headlights are clouded. Overall… from Daniel, Evie and Daniel Rojas (who worked on my car repairs), the service is phenomenal and I’m definitely a loyal customer!

I was helped by Ariana, a real angel. But everyone is really great! And they tried to work out the best way for me to save money.
They have a huge parts store & the service shop.

Politely greeted by David, must I say best customer service ever! David answered all my questions and explained to me the difference between a synthetic oil change vs. a regular oil change. I felt like I made the right decision after learning the difference. Not my near by pepboys store, but will be driving out here, due to the great customer service! Got the oil change I needed in a timely manner! Thanks Richard and David! You guys are awesome, will be coming out here more often!

Just finished getting two new tires! Walmart did not have my brand so I tried PepBoys. The tires weren’t in store, but within an hour and a half, I had two new tires at a reasonable price and I was on my way!
Ask for Ariana! She not only located my tires, but gave me reasonable and realistic timeframes that I could expect my car to start and finish service! Kudos!

Came here for my oil change and tire rotation. Very friendly and fast! Ariana was very helpful and made sure my car was taken care of.
They also have an area where you can watch tv, drink free coffee and plug in your electronics with free Wifi.
Overall a great experience and plan to continue getting my cars serviced here.

Having never been to pep boys before, I did not know what to expect. But as soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted by someone.
I needed to get an oil change and the person helping me with that was Ariana. NOTE TO MANAGERS: GIVE THIS WOMAN A RAISE PRONTO! She was very honest and helpful to me and it was deifinitely an enjoyable experience talking with her. Unlike Walmart, the staff at Pep Boys are very personal and you dont feel like your soul is being drained away being there.
I will definitely be back to get my oil change done at Pep Boys (if Ariana gets that raise – she was that awesome).

I called this pepboys wanting standard maintenance for my car; an oil change, tire rotation and engine air filter change. I called and a lady booked me for an appointment. It was difficult to find one because they had plenty of openings. She told me the total price would be about $ 120. I booked the appointment because that’s way less than the dealership. I come to pepboys and check in my car. I reviewed the prices and agreed. Thirty minutes later I get a call saying they didn’t note the price for the air filter on there so it’s actually another $ 15 or so. I thought no big deal okay. Then I come to the store after they call me and I’m about to pay for it. Near the register is a special offer with a bunch of services including oil change and tire rotation for only $ 40. I asked how come I’m paying $ 35 more for just an oil change and tire rotation when this package comes with way more for way less. The cashier tried to get his way out and said «the $ 76 includes the air filter change». And I said «no it’s only for the oil change and tire rotation». And he continued to say I was wrong. I said «no, I saw the price breakdown on the screen when this lady helped me.» The lady then denied she helped me until the cashier read her name off the forms. We then called the manager over and I explained the situation and he agreed to convert the price. I didn’t even care I didn’t get the other services but I wasn’t going to pay $ 36 more for nothing.
Bottom line: when getting service here, double check the prices and deals and make sure they’re not trying to rip you off.

Brought my Lexus in today at 11am came to pick it up at 6:15 pm & it was still NOT ready. It only takes 30 minutes to change the oil. Extremely slow. I asked them when it would be done and the worker told me in about 45 minutes that they just pulled in the car right now. Uhm What so 7 hours you are barley putting my car in & to top it off I checked if he was telling me the truth and my car was still in the parking lot & hadn’t been touched.

Spoke to the manager chris and sorted something out. Very helpful.

I made an appointment online to get my brakes inspected because I’ve been experiencing an ugly grinding sound. The online appointment system was pretty straightforward and clear, providing where to go and what to do when you get to the service station.
Chris (the GM) saw me walking outside the service station, asked if I needed help, and walked me inside. There was another car ahead of me that they were already working on, but my car was up right after since I made an appointment.
Chris explained the process to me clearly and was super helpful before the diagnosis. After they inspected my car, it turned out my front brakes needed replacing, along with my rotors.
This next part is the main reason why I’m giving the 5-​star review: When Chris initially gave me the estimate for the work, it came out to a price I couldn’t quite afford. I told him I would come back on my next paycheck because I couldn’t pay for the work they suggested. He then asked me what my budget was, and manually made a build for my brakes/​rotors that would be within my budget. He seemed sincerely concerned for my safety and told me he would do everything he can so I can afford it because he didn’t want me driving on shot brakes. I’ve never met a service representative that has been this helpful and useful. Thank you!
An added bonus: The lounge area inside is quite nice; a nice little area with comfy chairs and coffee while you wait.
From start to finish, the process has been pretty easy and pleasant for something that’s usually a huge pain.

Need Service, Go somewhere else. Need to shop, order it online for a discount (30%-35% listed on their site) and pick it up, you don’t have to wait to pick it up… Just call the store first to see if they have it on hand, most of the times they do, but they alert you the next day for same day pickup (they might be under staffed or just enjoy standing around talking). That’s that only thing they are good for, the discounted merchandise.
I had an appt. at 6pm, arrived at 5:40pm because I had to run an errand. I arrived back at 6:10. I noticed 3 cars were gone out of the stalls, but my car was still sitting in the parking lot. I got antsy and decided to walk around the store. One employee asked if I needed help, I said I was waiting on my car, he then asked which car, I told him Blue BMW… he said oh yeah they are taking care of you. I use to be a tire technician it takes less then 20 minutes to repair a tire. About 6:39 I get up and noticed, my car still was in the original spot. I asked for my keys and left. I was sitting there forever after looking around the store, no one walked up to me with any information or update.

They get credit for being open on Sundays. I find it surprising that more of these stores don’t do the same. Isn’t that when most folks are looking to get their cars fixed as opposed to the work week?
Anyways, I was here to get my wheels aligned and I was surprised that it wasn’t crowded. They have a nice lounge with a big screen tv playing movies. They also have a work station with power. They also claimed free wifi which was cool. Would have been nice if it worked though, it was a nice thought though. They restarted it based on my request but still no dice.
Wheel alignment was $ 89. Wheels now aligned and I am happy.

Moderate-​sized auto parts and service chain located right off the 880 freeway. They are easy to find and have ample parking as they share a huge parking lot with the neighboring Home Depot.
I came here to get a nail removed from my tire on a weekday morning. The associate who helped me gave me a quotation of $ 19 to fix the flat, $ 10 to rotate the tires, and a 30~45 minute wait-​time. They have a small lounge near the checkout registers with comfy seats, beverages, magazines, and a TV to enjoy while you wait for your car to be serviced — this was a nice, unexpected perk!
Unfortunately, after over an hour of waiting, they informed me that my tire was not repairable. Bummer :(The service here is SLOW and they don’t seem to have many technicians working on-​site. I basically sat around for one hour just for them to say that they couldn’t fix my tire.
I didn’t have to pay as nothing was done to my car. However, I really wish they would’ve taken a look at my tire right away as I only purchase tires from a specific vendor, and would’ve just driven there immediately instead of wasting an hour here.

My first review in Unilocal.I wish there is negative stars. I came here for oil change and brake inspection as they have a free coupon for brake inspection.
My appointment was at 9am and came here around 9.10. I made an appointment as waiting thinking oil changes are quick they said they will keep my car as priority. Just oil change and inspection which would normally take 1 hr but they started on my car around 9.40 and ended at 1.45pm.This is ridiculous and time wasting. I was watching thru the window in to their service department they are damn slow one guy working on it which is more than enough but left the car unattended in between for a looooong time, forgot to reset service reminder, i had to remind and tell them how to do it. Not sure what they are doing. Waste of time and money, no respect for customers time. Never ever coming back here.
