R54 Photography

I booked Ramon for a product launch which was being held in San Francisco. We discussed details about the event a week prior. Less 24 hours before the event, I call Ramon to confirm that everything was ready and to go over any last minute details. Since we were not able to connect, we conversed via text. An hour after we confirmed all of the details via text, he now sends me text saying «I just realized that I am already booked Monday». Really? Please keep in mind that this is 17 hours before the event. I expressed to him how disappointed I was, and also told him that he should have checked his schedule/​calendar before he committed to taking on the job.
This was his response:
«I never committed. there was never a contract in place… that is the norm on how I do business… I apologize for the inconvenience.»
As you can see from his response, his word is no good. If a contract should have been drawn up to officially book his time and services, that should have been stated during our first conversation. According to him, this is how he does business. I’ve booked dozens of photographers, and this is the FIRST time I’ve ever experienced something like this.
Based on this experience and not the quality of his work, Ramon deserves ZERO stars. As you predicted, I will not be using his services moving forward. I’ve also shared this experience with all of my friends, colleagues, and fellow business owners. Sorry Ramon, what you did was unprofessional and unacceptable.

This guy is amazing! Attended a wedding last weekend and while speaking with him a bit, got to see a few images that he had just captured (still on his camera). OMG! Amazing, no joke, and not because I was in the photo either, lol. The quality of the image was immediately obvious, it looked as if he’d already enhanced /​edited them! Crystal clear with a bit of blurred background, so nice, my skin looked great (even though it’s not)! I can’t wait to see the rest of the wedding photos, and I have to admit I’m a bit jealous of the happy couple… It’s just sad that I didn’t find him in time to avoid the disaster of photography at our own wedding last year :(
Oh, and he also shoots video clips of important moments (like me singing, haha, and congratulatory wishes for Bride & Groom from friends and family), and he can probably video entire weddings too, I didn’t ask, but it goes with the territory so I say probably.
Overall great, thoughtful guy who, I noticed, pays attention to details! If I ever get the motivation to finish my CD, I will definitely contract him for a cover photo shoot!
