It’s especially hard finding good information on health care providers online. I recently moved back to Jersey City and elected coverage (Aetna’s DMO) with my new employer. As some of you may know, DMO is a cheaper option but requires you to commit to one dentist year-​round. and only select dentists are part of their network. Dr. Reyes is one of the local dentists in that network.
First, Dr. Reyes and his office primarily speaks Spanish — so expect to be greeted in Spanish when you call and/​or arrive. His office looks like a rented out basement that’s not intended for commercial space. However, I can appreciate this since he clearly immigrated here and caters to the Union City latinos that are in need of dentists/​doctors on the cheap.
I got a pretty rough cleaning with the metal scrap instrument and then requested a referral (my primary reason to see Dr. Reyes) for a specific orthodontist. He obliged and I was on my way. I don’t think I’d return here for a legit oral cleaning though.
All in all, «Meh. I’ve experienced better» (aka Two Stars for the Unilocal newbies) seems like an adequate evaluation.
