There’s a little something for everyone here. Texas Roadhouse. This name always pops up whenever my family or friends can’t decide a place to eat. It was not until recently that I had chance to see the hype for myself. I’ll start by saying that Texas Roadhouse is lively. When you hear the upbeat music and see all the smiling faces, it’s hard not to have a good time. Our waitress was nice and frequently checked up on us. We ordered a Sirloin, a Ribeye, a rack of Ribs, and the All American Cheeseburger. Our order came with the complimentary Dinner Rolls. The Sirloin was pretty tough and dry for a medium rare steak. The Ribeye was better, but not by a lot. The ribs were pretty good, except the flavor quickly got boring. My little cousin enjoyed his Cheeseburger. The highlight of the meal was the Dinner Rolls. I did not know what the spread was, maybe a mix of butter and other sweet ingredients, but it was on point. Texas Roadhouse has a big menu, and it will cater to many different eaters. The lively atmosphere and hospitality makes it a great place for families and groups of friends. The food is solid, the service is good, and the crayons are top-notch.(For the kids, of course) As long as you don’t mind the wait, you’ll have a good time here.

Friday date night after work for the boyfriend and we wait 45mins. To be seated. I don’t mind the wait in the waiting room cause there is peanuts and a tv and I have my boyfriend to talk to. We get seated and Shout out to Ruben for being our sever that night. He got us bread and took our drink order and got that out quickly. I went ahead placed my order of ribeye with the side of ribs, mash potatoes and chilli. My boyfriend wanted the 12ounce prime rib and he takes our orders and we go on with our conversation. Ruben comes back and says there isn’t anymore of the prime rib in what he ordered and suggested the rib eye instead. Food comes out and we are completely overwhelmed. It was my first time and my boyfriend has been there once before. Pictures are taken(it’s a must now days) and I cut in to my steak and wow, best medium well ribeye I’ve ordered. In the past when I order medium well it’s either well done or medium but this beauty was perfect. I’m kinda stuffed already with the bread, soda and peanuts but I tried. I liked the chilli but even at home I add mayo for the creamy texture and when Ruben stopped by and asked if we needed anything I requested mayo and he got it. Ribs were cooked just right not completely off the bone yet until I grab my fork and cut it through. Not to salty not to bland. He was so nice and got us refills of bread and soda. Refills on drinks is a must and a thumbs up for me cause I’m a camel and I go through soda and water fast. I was pleased with my first time experience here especially on a Friday night. We’re definitely coming back and hopefully they don’t run out of prime rib! Thank Ruben for the pleasant experience!

Here for a birthday dinner with family. First impression not Good. Apparently parties of 8 or more have to be seated by the manager. He was very rude to my brother. Have eaten here before no complaints about the food. Three stars becsuse the manager was rude Update …we finally got seated and Jason was out waiter. … He was great! They should make him manager.

So yummy! As a frequent customer, I really like the handcut steak and the drink there(the one mixed with red wine).

Texas Roadhouse food will always be yummy to my family and I. As frequent customers to this establishment, tonight had to be the WORST customer service I have ever experience. 1. Our server Kaelynn was absent minded and nowhere to be found for the majority of our dinner. — asked for cinn. Butter and to frequently check our meals due to nothing arriving including our salads. Never got answer for anything. Consistently having to remind her when we got a chance but it went one ear out the other. 2. Assistant Manager/Trainer Charlie came out with food an HOUR later that wasn’t even our order to begin with. One of my family members ordered a rib eye — medium well w/mashed potatoes. Charlie proceeded to give my uncle someone else’s order saying, «that works out perfectly, this is the same thing, just w/fries, you should be fine.» Then demanded«what else can I do to make it right?» He continued to blame his staff such as the kitchen and the«bread» lady for why our dinner was completely messed up. AREYOUKIDDINGME?! Excuse my language but I don’t know what’s more FUCKEDUP? Throwing someone else’s food upon us, not even giving an apology, or an explanation to why our food took an HOUR long, why nothing they brought out was correct, or both employees blaming each other and the entire Texas Road house staff? Saddest part about this dinner, we knew our order immediately and ordering within being seated. We knew Kaelynn was either having a rough day or she was new/training(which I was correct) so we gave her the benefit of the doubt until it got worse. The actions of their assistant manager definitely reflects on the way he’s training Kaelynn which is unacceptable and it’s unfair to her and customers. Hopefully they can do better. Please fix ASAP! **Stop over compensating, apologize when wrong and fix it immediately. Not everyone wants a free meal, they just want their meal/experience right!**

Wow. Way to ruin my birthday Dinner. 1. Ordered a Rib Eye Medium Well — Ends up coming Well Done. 2. Beans — Cheese Is completely unmelted. Cold and just staring at me. 3. GF got loaded mashed potatoes. They weren’t loaded. 4. My mashed potatoes were covered with brown goop. 5. Corn looked like it was dumped straight from the bag and covered in butter. 6. Her fried chicken dish was horrendous looking. She had 2 bites and was done. All in all, didn’t even touch my sides. At all. Mentioned what happened to my waiter and the Manager. Their response was: You should have said something in the first place. That’s not my job, they shouldn’t be serving low quality food. I love Texas Roadhouse, that’s why I wanted to go. The one in Modesto is Disneyland to me. Shame they ruined my birthday dinner.

Compared Steaks and prices, this place is the McDonalds of Steakhouses. I guess you get what you pay for? The noise level is too loud, the steaks are small and tough. Nothing appealing for appetizers either. You can stuff yourself on bread and wait or you can go find yourself a decent steak some place else.

I’m writing this review based on consistency. I was up in the area on business and went to TR on three different occasions. The first one was for a late lunch. The server was awesome. The service was terrific. I ordered the Porterhouse/Tbone medium and it was cooked to perfection. Slathered on top were the sauteed onions and mushrooms. That was a great kicker. Very good. The rice had a spice that I was not fond of, but that was not the point. The star was the steak. Very juicy, tasty and with the condiments, it was top notch for the price. The salad to start was decent as well. You are also given short versions of rolls served with cinnamon butter. Nice!!! So for this visit, it would have been a 5-star visit. That being said I came back on two other occasions for dinner. Both times the servers were very disingenuous and did not have the welcome feeling at all. They were just ticking their time on their shift. The table was also dirty and had to be cleaned on both occasions. The ribs that I got were old and dry and had to be replaced. On the other time, the fried chicken was nothing more than a blob of batter. Just terrible. On those two visits, I would have given 1 – 2 stars. I’m also a shareholder of TR and I’m not pleased with what I saw, not only as a visitor to eat but also as a shareholder seeing their investment not perform at its peak. Consistency is what builds a great experience and a great brand. I hope the GM looks at the facility from a macro and micro level so they can see some tweaks can and should take place.

The wait here on a Friday night or weekend is really long so be prepared. Food: yummy in my tummy! Whenever I’m craving for some good ol steak, Texas roadhouse always comes to mind. Beware of the bread tho, it’s so good you might eat too much and get full rather quickly! I know I did, I always leave Texas feeling satisfied. Service: the people here are really friendly! Attentive and fast service.

What’s not to like about this place!!! Been here 3x already and every time it’s been great! Not only is the steak good, but it’s also relatively cheap compared to your Black Anus or Outback Steakhouses. Food is excellent and economical, but they do get VERY, VERY busy. I love that you can just throw all your peanut shells on the floor. It feels weird at first, but after like the tenth shell, you quickly get use to it. Will come and eat again.

As I sit here going through my reviews I am really surprised this wasn’t the first place I reviewed. In 2007 it was the first Roadhouse we had ever eaten at and let me say, it quickly became a weekly event. If you look at my reviews you can see we then had a RHouse tour of several states coast to coast. So mind blown, I left the first one out! We always talk about the first time here, they were telling people a 2 hour wait and nobody was leaving. Suddenly we see two guys come out running after two guys and they grabbed the peanut buckets back from them they walked out with, half way down the parking lot. It was just comical looking and pretty cool with the billion people standing in and around that place they noticed that little bucket leaving through the crowd. I can say in 2013 when we came back, we were here over a year then, and once again it was a weekly event, However, now, we don’t eat meat like that anymore. We came back in here a couple of weeks ago and it was the first meat we had eaten in a couple of months. It did not disappoint. My sister and dad go to Roadhouse in Kentucky all the time and she gets chicken. I laughed at that, until this summer, in Montana, I got the grilled chicken minus the BBQ sauce and converted quickly. It was seriously some of the best chicken I have ever had. I don’t eat chicken breast usually, but this is one that I will eat. It isn’t even close to being tree bark dry like most breast meat. The wait doesn’t seem as bad as it was a few years ago, waiting 90 minutes years ago wasn’t uncommon. Now its like 20 minutes. We do call ahead seating. The wait staff is pretty nice here, and they are on top of changing out drinks if you get even halfway down. We did conclude they downgraded the peanuts to grade«D», some of them I wouldn’t even feed the squirrels, but I am not there for the peanuts so I am probably okay with that, but some people might be there for them, so I mention it. The steaks are good and presentation here is better than some roadhouses. However, they also have messed up every order we have put in the last three times. I ordered no sauce on the chicken, we confirmed it several times, she even came back five minutes later to ask what our orders were again. The chicken came out and it was coated in sauce, and they took it back, but the guy that brought it wanted to stand there and read the entire ticket before he would take it and he said, yeah I see she wrote that down and underlined, okay, I will take it. Well, yeah ya will. I am actually not bitchy when this happens to me, so he had to feel good since they messed up the table behind us and they were in fact bitchy enough for me and them both. To each his own. I could have been fussy since it took a long time to get my chicken back out to me, I was glad my husband over ordered food and that was slowing his pace and I wasn’t eating a lone. Otherwise, maybe I would have been fussy. Other than that, they do have really good steak. I like the steak and chicken combo option, that is lunch the next day. Prices are really reasonable.

After seeing so many of my fellow Unilocalers’ check ins to Texas Roadhouse as well as a couple of my classmates raving about this place, I decided to check this place out on a Tuesday night with my family for my sister’s 20th birthday. Do note, however, that Texas Roadhouse does not accept reservations and simply does a «call ahead» system similar to BJ’s where you call the restaurant 30 minutes prior to your desired time and put your name on the list. This worked out in our favor since we were coming from Daly City, so by the time we arrived to the restaurant, we waited maybe 10 minutes or so before finally being seated! Tim, the manager, was really welcoming and we felt like we were getting special treatment from the time we arrived to the our departure. Upon being seated, our extremely friendly and upbeat server, Jamie V, greeted us and informed us of the specials. She was seriously so awesome and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience because of her! The service was great and I noticed that our waters/drinks were constantly being refilled. The complimentary peanuts and bread were a fantastic touch to the whole dining experience and my grandma especially loved that we could have as many«mani»(peanuts in Tagalog) as we wanted. For our party of 6, we ordered the Cactus Blossom as an appetizer, 2 orders of their famous Fall-Off-the-Bone ribs(whole slab) and 2 Texas sized combos. I kid you not, the portions are huge and even after having all that bread beforehand, I commented to my sister that we should’ve just shared a plate. I think it’s safe to say that you should expect leftovers for the next day! Overall, I think that this chain restaurant is similar to Outback Steakhouse, but better. The food was a bit on the salty side and I thought that my steak tasted a tad bit bland(probably could’ve used more seasoning) but overall, the rest of the party enjoyed their meals! I’d also like to point out how clean and welcoming the staff was. You could really tell they bust their butts off to keep the restaurant clean and in great condition! Our total was about $ 105 minus tip.

Met a friend here for dinner on 12⁄27. Was looking forward to it as it’s been awhile since I’ve been here. This place gets busy! Be sure to call ahead for seating or you’ll end up waiting a long time. We waited about an hour on a Sunday night because we didn’t call ahead. There’s plenty of seating in the waiting area, which was nice since it was very cold outside. Once seated, our waiter was quick to check on us and get our orders in. He was attentive throughout the night and seem to always be on hand when we needed him. My only issue with the night was with the food. I had ordered a half rack of ribs with corn and a sweet potato. My order came out and it looked like they had given me a full rack, which was odd. No complaints there, but both half racks were overcooked and dry. I ended up breaking off parts of it to get to the few bits that were somewhat moist and drenched it in BBQ sauce. I’ve had good ribs here before, so it was probably just an «off» night. I will definitely give them another chance.

I went with my 5 best girl friends tonight(12/28/2015). We called in around 6:00pm and were told that the wait would be 1 – 1 ½ hours. This was my first time here and because it’s known to be popular and busy, I decided ok, it’s worth the wait. Boy, was I wrong. All my friends and I didn’t really care for our entrée. We enjoyed the bread more. Cinnamon butter with bread? Yeah bottomless bread. Amazing… oh nah nah. Our server was Thy. She was kind and accommodating to our needs. Super sweet girl. She deserves an award. For being spectacular. Service made up for the lack of quality in the food but the environment is so lively, I wouldn’t mind coming back and trying their steaks.

I would have given this place a 4 star but I’ve had some small complaints. The first time I ate here we had reservations and when we got there, we weren’t even seated till an hour and half later. What was the point of an reservation if we aren’t seated at the time we reserved? The second time I was here we had reservations again. As we sat down, the server wanted to move us to another table so we could be «helped faster» so we got up and moved to the front once more. We ended up being seated at the same spot… However the did made it up by giving us free appetizers. Now I am here for a third time, I called for reservation at 11 in the morning when they opened they said they didn’t make reservations anymore… when in fact I knew they still did. I didn’t appreciate the fib one bit. So now I am sitting here waiting for and two hour wait for a party of 5 people. They really need to work on their seating or get a bigger restaurant the waiting is just terrible! However the food is great I have no complaints there. The dinner rolls are the best!

We came at 5:55 on a Tuesday, but we called ahead and made reservations. Once we got here we only had to wait about ten min before we were seated. We were greeted by a nice girl named Natalie, she was very tentative to us and we never had to ask for anything because she always brought it before we could ask. The food was cooked well and was served to perfection. I was very pleased to come at such a busy time and get such great service. Five stars for the server and the food

If we came on any other day and it wasn’t during lunch(actually as soon as they opened), I wouldn’t be giving this place 5 stars… Come here on any given night especially on the weekend, it would be an hour or more wait. Today we came here for our annual office Christmas lunch and the food and service was beyond what I expected. Our server(and I wished I remembered her name) was on point. Quick to take our order, quick to bring our food and she remembered what everyone ordered. She was super friendly and checked up on us more than once which says a lot, especially when it started to get busy with the lunch rush. As always, the food was delicious. One thing I did notice was their lunch menu. On their website it was $ 8.99 but at the restaurant it was $ 9.99… Hopefully they’ll update their website. Other than that, THANKYOUTEXASROADHOUSEFORMAKINGTODAY’S OFFICECHRISTMASLUNCHEONANAWESOMEONE!!! See you guys next year, but I’m hoping a lot sooner.

You know when you’re super hungry, you just order with your eyes. That’s exactly what happen when we came here for a mid afternoon late lunch early dinner meal. There were so many things we wanted to order because we were so hungry from barely eating that day. It was my first time here as my family are regulars. We were first greeted by our waitress and offered us a menu and drink orders. We ordered a blue crush lemonade to quench our thirsts. We had complimentary fresh baked bread rolls that we scarfed down while we waited for our order. The also that have here are a pail of peanuts that are on each table to munch on as well. But the cool thing was I suppose their tradition is to just throw the peanut coverings on the ground. I was like are you serious?! And my sister told me that’s how it’s done there. Eat your peanuts and just throw the shells on the floor like a kid tryin make a big mess. Aint gonna have to tell me twice to join in on the fun. We started with onion rings as appetizers. At first, when it came out I was thinking what is that bundt looking cake appetizer. Little did I know it was their way of presenting the onion rings. I had to look at the menu again and it was labeled as Cactus blossom hence why it looked like that. It was pretty good though but hefty for a starter that we were getting quite full off of it. If you come here early for dinner they have a special of 11 entrees for only $ 8.99. What a deal! My sister got the country fried sirloin steak. If you see my picture, that thing is HUGE! Like my eyes was surprised when I seen it. Okay maybe my picture doesn’t do justice of how it looked in person. But of course we eventually took that to go because we couldn’t touch it after muchin on the appetizers and complimentary goodies. I ordered the Portobello Mushroom Chicken with side vegetables and corn. It was really good and quite filling. The corn was bomb though! My nephew got the Macaroni and Cheese, his favorite from the Kids & Ranger Menu. Prices are fairly reasonable for their portions and quality of food here. Of course their money makers would be their steak as they are well known for them. Wouldn’t mind coming back here when my family brings me when I’m in town again.

The closest Texas Roadhouse to San Diego is in Temecula so my boyfriend & I were glad to see there was one down the street from my relative’s place in Union City! We were so excited because we heard such great things about the food & that it was comparable to Phil’s BBQ. They only accept reservations the day of & when I called to make a reservation for 16 people, they said they could not promise that the group would be seated together(Ugh!) When we arrived, the restaurant was packed! I checked in with the manager who was arguing with a customer… Bad sign. The manager was incredibly rude to me too! My party was seated into 2 groups of 8. The tables were not too far away & there was a table in between us. Our server was sweet, attentive, & made sure that we had everything that we needed. Many of the entrees come with 2 sides. I ordered: Bread & cinnamon butter — Complimentary. The cinnamon butter was heavenly! Peanuts — Complimentary. You can throw the shells on the floor but they give you a bucket to throw the shells in too. The Blossom = Hand buttered onion cut into pieces — Delicious! I loved the Cajun horseradish sauce it came with. Filet Medallions = 3 filets with peppercorn & portobello mushroom sauces, served over rice — The filets were so incredibly dry & stiff even though I ordered them to be cooked medium. Not flavorful at all! 1st side = House salad with honey mustard dressing — Loved it! 2nd side = Green beans — Yuck! Since our group was split into 2 groups, I was given 2 separate checks because each table had their own server. This was annoying because my boyfriend, who works for Navy Fed, said that if they ran my card once for one amount & then a second time for the other amount, Navy Fed would flag that as fraud. So I had to use my emergency credit card to pay for the other table. This was just really inconvenient.
