The onion thing was good deep fried. They had a special, $ 14.99, steak and the fixins. They told us after we ordered. I called bullshit. I ordered a cheese burger,. Dry, no condiments. fries, we’re sparse. This was a party of 16. Service was awesome, but the food over all was bunk will I go back? Maybe, if they fed us for free. The special was all over social media, but they were clueless.

Service was excellent. Sat at bar area to watch game. Ordered porter house a little spicy. Mac and cheese unedible so peppery. I was offered replacement. Very courteously. Drink kept full. Had a very nice quiet dinner. Servers need to remeber its so quiet all conversations are public.

Every time we’ve gone, something in our order has been undercooked, they’re out of a menu item, the portions are tiny in comparison to other locations, or the service is insanely slow(or all of the above). We vowed to never return… and then we received a gift card, so why not try again? While my wedge salad was fantastic, I had to send back my Alice Springs Chicken because it wasn’t cooked through. My husbands pork chop was overcooked and dry. We won’t go back again. What a let down.

Wow! I was so impressed with this establishment. I am hard to please and was dazzled the whole time. Truly a great experience. Our waitress Katey was very patient and attentive. Mike I believe his name was was nice too. He shoveled the sidewalks and helped my 2 elderly grandmothers into the building and it was snowing like crazy. It was a special occasion a birthday and his help was so appreciated. He even carried out birthday presents to the car. The steak was cooked to perfection filet mignon & the loaded baked potato. Refills of soda like crazy which was nice because I was thirsty. Blossom onion and sauce fabulous. Salad awesome. I will go back and tell everyone I know to go to this outback!

Greeter was nice and service was good. The sirloin steak was so fatty that by the time I cut around it all… I lost my appetite. Super disappointed in the quality of the cut… especially since it was cooked perfectly.

Me and some friends came here at 9 for their happy hour. The restaurant was dead and only a few other people here. They were out of ahi tuna which is what my wife wanted. All 5 of us received soggy food and tasted like it had been sitting under the warming light for hours. Cheesy fries were soggy. Chicken salad was soggy. Chicken wings were soggy. Fries and burgers were soggy. Even the celery was soggy and a deep green color which was really weird. I had also ordered an alcoholic beverage and still hadn’t received it by the time our food was brought out. I had to go to the bar and wait for the bar tender to come out from the kitchen and tell her I’m still waiting for my drink, she said the waitress never told her and it was past last call. They had to ask the manager if they could make my drink. Thankfully everything was pretty cheap because of happy hour, but the food and service was terrible. Looks like this matches up with some other reviews. The AC was also way too high and we were all freezing. Yakima has terrible restaurant quality.

I had a double burger and she had a steak. We also had the steakhouse macaroni and cheese. Everything was excellent. The Cesar salad was great and the french fries were perfect. Our waiter Marcus was great. Service was prompt and super friendly. It was a very good experience.

Have eaten here several times as we live nearby. Food is good and consistent. However… They sat us near the bathrooms and every time someone went into the bathroom an overwhelming ploom of filthy bathroom smell would woft over our table. We asked to be moved and our server was very understanding. Spoke to the manager and here are her exact words«we have a guy come in and clean it every day» I said but he’s not doing a very good job because the smell is not just from today. «well you know how men are, you have to line them up at the trough like pigs» I will never ever eat at this outback again!

Terrible service. Not full, gave us the wrong order and super slow service. Spilled our drinks, got the drink order wrong and there were only two of us. Good, wasn’t horrible this is why the one star. Go and spend your money someplace else.

«I ate it I’ll rate it.», I have went here a couple times for a Tenderloin. It is very basic a Tenderloin with a salad and veg is a diet plate. Nice bread if you eat bread. 2 out of 3 times my steak was cooked as asked. Feel this Restaurant is a hang out place for a meal and drinks for people whom really are not picky about what they eat.

I don’t really go to Outback. Sometimes I go with my dad when I’m back home. I give it four stars because in Yakima there are very few places I would eat. The service was quick and my salmon dinner was cooked just right. Next time, I will order a steak. They look a whole lot better here than I get back home. I agree the side salad could use a little work. Get rid of the cheap cheese, use slivers of carrots for color.

Disjointed, not-too-withit service. Horrible house salad(cheap lettuce, way too much cheap cheese, two tiny grape tomato halves, a couple small pieces of onion and cuke), and overall pedestrian food. Prices too high for quality or quantity. Uninspired menu choices. The pork I ordered medium was served well done. Dry, inedible. The two bites I had were over seasoned to the extreme — and I like seasoning. They did remove it from my bill. Go elsewhere.

I went in on a Saturday night with my family. The restaurant wasn’t full. Only a few tables. And it took about 30+ minutes to get our food. We get seated, order waters, one of our waters were spilled by the waitress onto the table and a majority of it made it into my purse but it wasn’t a big deal since it didn’t damage anything too serious. Just soaked everything… Tried to order the clam chowder. They were out. Ordered the bloomin’ onion. It was soggy, over-seasoned and tasted burnt. I ordered a burger to split with someone and ordered it well done, it was pink in the middle. The rest of the food was mediocre at best. The service was not good, the food quality was terrible, and the AC was cranked so high that we were all shivering the entire time. It’s a shame. I love Outback, just not this location. Yakima needs some work.

It doesn’t deserve a star. We ate there twice and both times we got sick from their food. It didn’t seem to have anything wrong with it and it tasted ok but it kept my husband and I up and down all night. Do not try eating here if you are a truck driver. You need your rest.

If you like awful service, Outback is the place to eat! It was our first time there so we decided Happy Hour on a Thursday would be quiet and have the best service. It was pretty quiet, but we were forgotten about and didn’t even have refills until our meal was over and no napkins all night. Maybe it’s just a first world problem but I sure don’t have two hours to spend waiting on food and service. For the price, just go to Black Angus or Bob’s Burgers and Brew.

Always worth the trip into town to dine here. Rib steak & Wedge salad = perfection. Plus the bread is good & dining in the bar with our favorite servers.

Good service, sirloin cooked to my liking. Blooming onion could use more sauce. I recommend the wedge salad. We were seated rather quickly, waiter was attentive. Remembered to bring the dessert just in time, cheesecake yummy!

I love Outback, no matter where I am. We were here during a family trip and weren’t disappointed. The food was good, we had prime rib, and the service was excellent.

Most restaurants in Union Gap/Yakima are extremely under-whelming. You usually get average to mediocre service and passable food. However, this trip to the Union Gap location of Outback just blew me away! Our waitress was amazing! She was so polite, provided exemplary service, and even brought out some garlic mashed potatoes for my 9-month old son. The food — magnificent. I know it’s just a chain-steakhouse, and with the Outback if you order something cheap on the menu it’s cheap meat with lots of flavor to cover how tough it is(which is why we usually order something else). The prime-rib was amazing, and I swear that was the best lobster tail I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. The chefs that evening were also providing exemplary food. Everything was clean. Bathroom was a bit chilly but I’ll let that slide. We weren’t left standing waiting for a table, our drinks never ran dry, and even though my son was a little too young to really find use out of a coloring book and crayons they brought them out to entertain him. I would like to say I’ll visit again, but we are moving from the area. This was a great last hurrah in Union Gap.

We had a great experience. Short wait, cheaply priced steaks and good food. Came here after my sister’s gymnastics meet. Family of 5 was seated promptly. We had a GREAT server who was very friendly and fended off my Dad’s compliant of a weak whiskey &7 very well. Brought out one that was up to his expectations. Food took a little while than I wanted(super hungry!) but it was good. You know what you are getting in to with Outback, it’s a chain, not a small culinary experience. I ordered a steak for $ 19! And it wasn’t bad! You can’t get that in Seattle. Everyone was happy with their steaks and sides of choice. My sweet potato was great. So were my husband’s garlic mashed.
