I would definitely recommend Aprils Bridal to anyone who needs a dress or bridal gown! I received excellent customer service! April went way above and beyond to help me find my perfect wedding dress! She gave me updates during shipping, and called me the day it arrived! I much prefer Aprils bridal to any big– name bridal store! She has helped make my up-coming wedding an extra special day!

I would have to disagree that there are not still problems with this bridal shop. As mother of the groom I took my dress(that was ordered somewhere else and too big) into April’s three weeks ago to be altered. There are many seamstresses in the area, but I wanted my dress to be done by «professionals» so that I could be sure it was done right for this important occasion. I was surprised when they said it would take three weeks for a few alterations, but again I trusted that all would be well and I was told my dress would be ready two days before I had to leave town for the wedding. My dress was scheduled to be ready on 10÷8÷13, so I called on 10⁄7 to make sure everything was just about ready. The person I talked to on the phone first questioned me if I had the right store because she had no record of my order. Then she stated she would go «upstairs» and check on it. She came back on the phone and stated, «I found it», then proceed to tell me it was on the docket for Thursday(10÷10÷13). I informed the lady that would be unacceptable as the dress was supposed to be ready on 10⁄8 and I was leaving for the wedding. I was told my dress would be ready by 10⁄9. Then I receive a call at 10am while I am at work and am told that the lady at the store has a sick son and she is «closeing up the shop early» and if I wanted my dress I had to come immediately. It took me 30 min. To get there from my job and my employer was not that thrilled about me leaving work in the middle of the workday. When I got to the store I decided to take the few extra minutes to try the dress on. I was shocked to find the top was still too large and the shoulders were not even sewed correctly. The shoulder seams did not match up! I expressed my unhappiness with the work and I was given money off the shoulder alterations. I was willing to let it drop at that point, but the women kept going on and on with excuses about why the dress wasn’t done and why I had to come immediately or NOT have a dress for the wedding, so I told her I could understand a sick child situation, but there was no excuse for not having my dress ready in the past three weeks and then rushing through to produce an inferior product. The lady continued to give more excuses about how she had done 100 dresses recently and she couldn’t be expected to remember everyone. I told her I didn’t expect her to remember me, however I do expect them to keep track of their orders and have them ready when they are supposed to be ready… especially when most customers are working with a deadline. Part of the work(the sides of the garment were taken up well, so I didn’t want to give a score of one, however because of the problems with the dress and the unprofessional attitude of the staff, and the fact that I am going to have to sew changes myself to correct the mistakes, I can’t give them over a two!

I picked up a Tux for a wedding. Because it wasn’t close to my home I sent in my measurements. The tux fit perfectly. The employee was fast and friendly. They even let me borrow a pair of suspenders at no extra charge. They’re closed on Sunday which made it difficult to return my tux as I was leaving that day — I had to ask someone who lives in the area to return it for me — I hope they did ’cause that $ 50/day late fee isn’t very appealing.

STAYAWAY!!! for serious! We ordered my wedding dress back in August(never got great customer service, but i didn’t really expect something like that dress tv show anyway), and we were told that we should hear about the dress sometime in December. So, December comes and rolls away and nary a word we hear. So I call the shop the first week of January and was very curtly informed that the issue would be looked into. Week rolls away and as I was quite busy with work and the rest of my life, I have my Mom call back. They tell her the same thing, only actually call her back. They called me as well, while I was at work of course, but only because my Mom had given them an earful. So, anyhow, they tell my Mom that they have looked everywhere, and just cannot find the order or paperwork and the dress I had ordered has since been discontinued so they cannot just reorder it. And that Linda has retired so they will«take the hit» and give us our down payment off a new dress. YEAHRIGHT! Luckily, the downpayment was put on a Discover card and they should be able to return the funds to us. But, in the meantime, I’m 5 months away from my wedding with NODRESS!!! I live in Lexington, and had been willing to make the trip to Dayton since I used to live there and it was quite nice being able to see my old friends and all, but now, I’m stuck making several trips to St. Louis to a dress shop that has modest gowns ready to go. Long story short– Bad Service Bad Employees Bad all around!
