Warning. NEVER get a moving estimate over the phone. If the moving company won’t come to your house, don’t even consider them. My client hired Charles moving company. (Fortunately, not on my recommendation.) She got the quote over the phone. When they arrived at her home, they told her that they couldn’t move the piano. Now she has to scramble to find another mover. The move took so long because they moved so slow. In state moves are paid but the hour. They were sure to tell her that if it was more than 8 hours they would be paid overtime. Funny how the entire move took 10 hours. I should have taken 6 – 7, based on my experience with other movers and the amount of stuff she was moving. Buyer beware.

AMAZING! Charles moving did a job for me a couple of months ago and I can’t say enough about the company. From start to finish the entire transaction was smooth. Super professional movers, on time, great prices, and you get a personal connection with the company. They don’t treat you like you’re anybody else! Godwin, the estimator who came to our home was super pleasant and made us feel super secure with our furniture in his company’s hands! We had a 4 bedroom move and they made the entire process feel like a breeze. If I ever move again this company will be at the top of my list. Not many company’s make you feel heard nowadays, good to know they’re still out there! A+ movers :-)

Charles Moving & Storage moved our Essex County business into new offices in West Orange this past spring. I was dreading the move and its impact on our operations, but Godwin & his team really helped minimize our downtime. They were careful, efficient and most of all, really nice guys who worked hard to make it easy for us. I would definitely recommend them for a NJ commercial move or NJ residential move — I really can’t imagine anyone doing a better job.
