The only reason why it deserved a star is because of the setup inside. Everything was very glammed out and very fashionable. However, I came there for a consultation for my prom and she never advised me of the fee beforehand. When I wanted to pay by credit card/​check she denied both. She implied that my check would be no good because of two previous customers. She also kept mentioning that she missed church on that Sunday because of my appointment. Also she said that her assistant would call me to book my makeup for the prom because she doesn’t do that and I never received a call. Luckily, I went to Lord&Taylor in Westfield and got my makeup done by a Lancôme male artist and looked fabulous!

I’m basing my review off of two visits and my third encounter with Kim.
I first met Kim at a bridal show in West Orange. She is hard to miss as a TALL, dark and gorgeous woman. We chatted first about herself, her experience and her new business venture. I made a note to take her informatin and added the card to my pile of wedding vendors.
I wound up calling Kim to schedule a consultation. We stayed on the phone for about 10 minutes to discuss my ideas/​wants for my wedding. From our conversation I could tell she was laid back like me and quite passionate about make up and beauty.
Our consultation took a total of 30 minutes. I brought my mother and we had the standard questions about scheduling, pricing (which is unbelievably affordable for a professional who has and still does quite a bit of work with celebrities) Her office is set up as a visual extension of what she does. Classic, edgy and oh so lady like. The walls are painted Tiffany blue with accents of bling and animal print in ALL the right places. The walls are adorned with full glossy shots of Kim’s more popular work and covers on high fashion magazines.
For my actual make up trial, it was again laid back and very professional. I did not for one mo ment feel rushed or like she was trying to sell me any product. I found that her down to earth attitude and friendly personality aided in my being calm and relacxed… something I’d really look forward to on my wedding day with nerves.
I booked heras soon as we were done and can’t wait until my wedding.
