Mario’s Tutto Bène

5 stars. Going to keep this short and sweet. I’m here currently eating dessert at my future niece’s bridal shower. The atmosphere is very comfortable and cozy. A little dark but I like that. It gives a nice romantic feel and a relaxed touch. The food was delish. Hot, and delish. By the time our dinner came, I was bursting from being too full already. I ordered the shrimp scampi. The shrimp are huge and has huge chunks of garlic in it too. Which taste so good! I could keep on going but I think it’s best you go and try them out. It truly is an awesome Italian place. I’ll Def be back!

I can’t say anything bad about this place because their food and service is always excellent!
I’m upset though that I had been craving your Margherita Pizza for the entire week and finally Friday was looking forward to dinner with my husband. He works in the Bronx, so his commute home on Friday’s are hectic. We didn’t make it to your restaurant till after 9P by the time we got there Kareoke was getting started and the bar was full. Hubs and I usually sit in the bar area when it’s just us two. Last night we couldn’t, and I was so hungry and so looking forward to the pizza pie that we accepted being seated in the dining area.
Only to find out we wouldn’t get served pizza in the dining area so we had to order a real dinner/​entrée
We each had a salad Caesar & House = excellent! Followed by asparagus w/​lemon and evoo, broccoli rabe w/​garlic and evoo also excellent! We ended up ordering the Cavateli Bolognese for dinner which was delicious!!! Since it was so late we didn’t finish and our waiter wrapped it up for us; which we later forgot and left on the table
Your FOOD was delicious; SERVICE was great but I still want my PIZZA!!! On nights when you have a full bar and know Karaōke brings a crowd we should be able to get what we order no matter where we are seated. That’s the only gripe I have about last night! we’ll be back for my pizza on a Saturday!

I went to this place in May 2015 for my birthday and I just had the greatest time. The service was wonderful. The décor was very beautiful and the atmosphere was very nice and comfortable. The food was really good and they decorated the plates nicely. I would recommend this place for a nice dinner with family and friends.

I moved to the area about a year ago and really enjoy Mario’s. I love classic ny/​nj style Italian and Mario’s does it well — with some nice variety to the menu. Everything has a lot of flavor. The overall service is welcoming and shows effort by the staff. Great local spot for your Italian fix.
Summer is nice for low key dates feat. Sangria. I think there is karaōke on Fridays later in the night (which drew a surprisingly big fun loving crowd the night I was there for a late dinner)
I’ll be going back for a 4^th time soon.

Ok so the wife and I went to the Singer Sewing machine repair shop across the street, We then made a trip to the local Costco while they fixed her machine. We saw Marios Tutto Bene across the street and decided to give it a try. The place is super clean and inviting, sort of a cross between the Red leather booth place and a more modern trattoria. The waiter was very prompt and helpful. We ordered the Eggplant Rollatine for an appetizer it was wonderful! The gently breaded and fried eggplant with it’s soft cheezy texture with their wonderful tomato sauce… It was the best ever! YUMMMM ! They served a nice bread basket with a great garlic olive oil. it was very good. Then the main dishes came. I had their great Swordfish Sicilian… very simple wonderfully grilled… My wife had Veal Saltimbocca. Such a great flavor. Very delicate We really loved this place Service A food A+++

So, ok came here for the first time me and my gf walked in the went right by the host, he did not even acknowledge us waited there for a few minutes standing no eye contact. then finally just out of know where the host asked if I had reservations. I said no, he rudely with the only attitude said I got nothing for you, if you want you can sit at the bar. So I went to the bar even though I was aggravated, sat at a bar table he comes up again and says some one is sitting there. No drinks on the table nothing. Any way I walked out … You ain’t doing me any favors. Please I don’t recommend this place send you’re money else where.

I frequent Mario’s once to twice a month… BUT NEVER AGAIN. The people who run this place are at the bottom of the barrel in regards to intellect and business acumen. Just watch Mario’s episode of restaurant nightmares… it’s amazing this place is even in business!
Anyways…
I placed an online order on GrubHub for a large pizza. ***I need to add that I use GrubHub several times a week for work events. I have NEVER had an issue, even with restaurants in places where English is not the primary language*** I go to the restaurant to pick up the pizza and I’m informed that there is no pizza. They asked who I ordered it with and I informed them online. I was told no one must have checked the online orders. I waited at the bar as they made the pizza. I paid then left. I get the pizza home and we eat most of it when someone from Mario’s calls and asks if Im coming to pick up my pizza. WHAT??? I informed him I was already there and explained the situation. The person I spoke with got nasty, and I hung up. I have no time for stupidity. I called GrubHub, and while on hold, GrubHub called me. I explained the situation and their lack of business skills. GrubHub was able to see my flawless history with them. Needless to say, GrubHub had to apologize to me for Mario’s stupidity.
How can this place expect to be successful in our modern technological world if they can not even handle online ordering? This shows no one actually runs this place and they lack any standard implemented practices.
If I were GrubHub, I would dump this place ASAP.

They brought a wine glass that was cracked (very visible) Not a great anti pasta salad. The Lasagna was dry, they did not charge. The shrimp risotto was great. Waiter excellent, very accommodating. Won’t be coming back any time soon.

Service that is hit or miss, is an understatement. After countless times of coming here with my boyfriend without making reservations, and finding the hostess and staff to be so accommodating, we made a reservation here for a very important family gathering.
Every other time we came here without a reservation, the hostess was always so courteous and helpful when it came to getting us a table. Even on Valentine’s Day, we were assisted in getting a table within 30 minutes.
But this time it was different. Arriving on time for our reservation for 6 people, not only were we rushed off to the bar because they didn’t have our table ready, but we were forgotten there for over an hour while the hostess sat other smaller tables.
This was a shame because Mario’s is a favorite spot of my boyfriend and I and we wanted to share it with our family. But instead we were embarrassed for raving so much about the amazing service and attentiveness. The manager tried to make it right for us by (eventually) seating is in a very nice location and setting us up with some complimentary drinks.
However, hostess problems aside, the food is the real showstopper here. Great delicious Italian food that is always fresh and flavorful. I love that they bring you a little lemon sorbet to cleanse your palette before your entrée. My favorite classics are their Mozz Fritta (think little fried Mozz cheese sandwiches) and their Chicken Parm is amazing. They have a beautiful piano bar and karaōke Friday and Saturday nights.
Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area and in the mood for great Italian food!

We have been coming here for years with our grandchildren and we love it. The food is consistently good and so is the service. We don’t live in the area but when we are here we make it a point to come for dinner.

Worth every penny, excellent customer service food and ambiance. Family friendly and the karaōke was fun next door. Very classy joint for a nice Italian dinner.

A union staple been here forever I can truly say I’ve never had a bad meal at marios! The food is always great and the service is always good. Prices are fair and the staff is lovely keep up the good work

First time here and I truly enjoyed the experience. The service was impeccable. Our waiter was very attentive and made suggestions that suited our preferences. The restaurant itself is very nice. Our food came out in a timely manner and our requests were fulfilled almost immediately. I would definitely return and bring my family next time.

Food was good. Average but good.
Favorite was the calamari. Sangria was tasty. Wait staff friendly.

Was there on a busy Saturday night with my wife and daughter recently. Started with oysters Rockefeller which were prepared perfectly. The Osso Bucco was on the menu so I gave it a try. Suprised by the generous portion which was served with steamed veggies. A nice bottle of Amarone was a great compliment and was reasonably priced. Finished with the chocolate cake. Mikey, one of the owners stopped by our table three times during and after the meal to check on the service and food. I only wish I didn’t live four hours away.

I felt that both the service and the food here were very one note. Nothing special at all. Portions are good though.

Been here a few times. Service is hit or miss. Heavy on one end or the other. Food has been great And overshadowed by bad service. Today we had great service with a terrible experience. We waited almost an hour for our appetizer. Found the longest hair in my food (not mine) — told waiter and he apologized profusely. Told me another table ordered my same dish and they would send me that one — WHAAA? (red flag). Waited. Then when my dish arrived the same pieces of chicken were on the plate. I tried it, veggies cold. I know right then it was the same dish I sent back. Honestly, I could have lived with it but the most disturbing thing about this was that the veggies were cold! Also no manager came to our table. I don’t know what’s worse. I found A manager and explained to which he tried to make things better but almost 2 hours in, we had somewhere to go. He comped my plate but never came back and I found this to be in poor service. The poor server even apologized and said he was embarrassed about the entire thing.
Two stars because it has potential with the right management and service. I’m being gracious.
