I am remodeling a home in Union and at the last minute an opportunity presented itself to hang some drywall on a Saturday. I live in a neighboring town and was able to hire a man for the day. I went by and picked him up and went to Paradise to purchase supplies. They had no 8′ drywall.
No apologies, no remorseful comments, no offerings of solutions. No comments at all except the cashier said she bought the last three sheets the previous Wednesday. Wow!
I am amazed! I am amazed that the only store in Union had no drywall. I’m amazed that no one had enough interest in my business to talk with me and make some apology, assurances for going forward or alternative solutions. Just, «sorry, I bought the last three sheets last Wednesday».
