Brandon saved our group of five ladies looking for dinner after we were treated with disdain and indifference at the Robin Hood pub. We had stopped by the store earlier to check it out and remarked on how good it smelled — fresh garlic bread in the oven! After the snub at the pub, we headed back to this great little store to get takeout to eat back at our rental house. It was prime rib night, and the roast was delicious, not too salty and not overcooked. Others got ribs, potato salad, clam chowder and more. Really good selection of homemade, hot food in addition to sundries and Olympic ice cream. More than anything, Brandon was welcoming and friendly to this merry band — and we were glad to support this small business. Stop by for dinner or a treat next time you’re in Union!

We had a wonderful first experience! The gentleman that helped us(we’ve sadly forgotten his name), was very kind, accommodating and happy to talk about the surrounding area and even tipped us off to where we would get«the best burger ever». Made some great coffee as well! Cute place with a nice selection of wine, ice cream and movies to rent. Everything you need for a perfect, cozy night in.

Great little country store. The owner talk to us about his passion for the area. Come for the ice cream, stay for the great views. There are about 15 flavors. From whiskey Carmel, to chocolate chip, to birthday cake. Waffle, cake or sugar cones. $ 3.50 for 1 scoop.

This place a gem in a vast wasteland. The owner is charming, generous and knows what’s good. Their specialty is baking and cooking delicious home styled dips, treats, bread, main courses. Don’t miss the deviled Eggs. He even carries home supplies and fishing tackle. Can you purchase beer for less at Walmart? Yes. But then you would be 15 miles south of here, and be in a Walmart. This ain’t no Walmart and is worth every penny. Did I mention the ice cream! He has the very best!!!

Thanks, Kirk, for, holding the ball caps for my dad to pick up for me. They arrived in Fresno today and I just adore them. So comfy and well made. And so great looking! I just love to represent Hood Canal, one of my favorite places. Can’t wait to come in next summer and meet you and see your store. Happy Trails! Taunya in Fresno.

I was really impressed by this store. I thought it was neat that the owner only opens the place for the summer months and then spends the rest of his time working and whatnot down in CA. THEBEST thing in the store is the Olympic Mountain Ice Cream. This is about the best ice cream I’ve ever had. Otherwise, he has a great selection of beer, snacks and all the odds & ends you’d need out there. I also appreciate a lot of homemade baked goods, dips and other edibles that he and the staff experiment with. Take a few moments to chat it up as there are some neat stories about the area and the store’s history.

Not sure if it was the owner but I bought some bread chips and he just grabbed whatever left of the sampler and gave it to me. Either he’s lazy to make it which only takes 7 minutes or he just horrible at customer service(the girl said she was going to make us fresh ones, but he jumped in). It cost me $ 6 for 10 chips!!! Bad service! Never will go again.

This place is awesome! We go here every summer multiple times. Some of the best ice cream around. Its really good! They make home made dips. Kind of spendy but they are impressive. The crab dip and the clam dip are awesome! Fresh baguettes are soft and smell wonderful. They make great sandwiches. Very cool place. Behind the store is a house on the hill. I heard it has some interesting history behind it.

This place is the cutest country store ever! They have everything you may have forgotten to bring from home(in the case that you’re vacationing). More importantly, they serve Olympic Mountain ice cream. The staff is nice, and they scoop generously. If you«need» to come by boat, you can park at the marina across the street. Finally, they bake baguettes daily, have a good selection of expensive cheese, and very yummy lemon bars!
