A & K Nails

I came here to get a pedicure with my mother on Mother’s Day and got helped very quickly, although the Salon is quaint & quiet it is a little on the small side & they also charge on debit/​credit usage which is just stupid. Also what was a little weird was that it was two gentleman who did our pedicures & did not do them very well (chipped off very fast, not entirely painted). Definitely not worth my money or time.

I have been coming to this nail salon for about 10 years now. Previously owned by Kelly, I was devastated when she disappeared one day & one of her friends bought it out. BUT!!! Thank God for small miracles because I love the new owners Sandy & her husband just as much! Sandy treats me like family & does my nails amazingly well! I do go closer to my apt for pedicures, but my loyalty will always remain here with Sandy at AK Nails in Uniondale.
When I lived in East Meadow I found this place driving down Front Street & the rest is history. Having been a server my entire adult life until recently, my hands were always in water because I would wash my hands at least 40 times a shift. Food & germs. Enough said. My nails would sometimes lift &/​or break due to the constant submersion under water. I have always been treated with the utmost respect by Kelly & now Sandy & almost every time have never been charged to replace a tip. I LOVE that Sandy gives me a little extra time when massaging my hands & back after finished & waiting for my nails to dry. Everyone who works in the store greets me sincerely warm affection & always ask me how my life, my job & my parents are. I talk about everything with these awesome people! I help them with their English & they tell me what to order at a Chinese restaurant! Lol I’m thankful to have such a nice relationship with this lovely family!
