My man took me here a few times to get food to go and This place isn’t too bad. Inside it’s kinda dark and gloomy but the food is solid. I’ve gotten the smoked turkey wings with Mac n cheese and collards. My man gets their barbecue chicken with either rice, mac n cheese or collards. As per him I make everything better, but we just go on days I don’t feel like cooking. At least it’s always good, to me it’s never been a hit or miss. I’ll come back in days I don’t want to make dinner.

This place was surprisingly good. Especially for Long Island. I had the ribs, collards and Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was ehhh. It was missing something like salt and pepper but everything else made up for it. I also ordered the turkey wings, pepper rice and cabbage to go. Everything on that plate was amazing! I will definitely go back. The place itself is not a place I would go on a date, it’s more like a cafeteria looking place. But I will definitely go back.

Good Food. Especially the fried fish and Mac N Cheese. When it’s a little crowded is when the service becomes bad and it seems like a lot of confusion. Other then that good place to go for a quick plate and the amount of food is worth it.

Floxys under a New Name. Called: FESTAC Soul food until pedestrian familiarize themselves with the New Name. Floxys part of a strip mall., constantly busy in that location. I ordered 5 piece stew shrimp with collard greens and sweet plantains. Sides ordered were mac n cheese and potato salad.

I visited this restaurant and found the food to be good. But, I never went back after I was basically ignored by a staff member when waiting to have my order taken. There are too many nice establishments out there that would be glad to have my business and are willing to provide courteous service than to visit this dumpy hole in the wall place again. Sorry Floxy’s! Boo to you.

My co-worker took me here for my last day of working at the Sycamore Residence. I ordered fried chicken, Mac and cheese, and collard greens. Corn bread came with the lunch and I washed it all down with a pineapple soda. As always, the food at Floxeys is awesome. Too bad they don’t deliver.

I have to say I wasn’t sure about trying this place but it’s was close to my home, I’ve heard good things, and my family wanted to try it, so why not.
This place has a old feel, it should be updated looks wise, and needs better lighting. It’s a good thing for the friendly staff I would’ve been scared off because how dark it was.
The food was good we had the macaroni and cheese, the smother pork chops, the BBQ chicken, smother turkey wings, sweet plantains, cabbage and the most amazing oxtail ever. (don’t tell my mom) all the options were good and I would absolutely be back.

Floxys Mac n Cheese is on point! Best i ever had also love their Steamed Cabbage. Years ago the chef there made amazing Red Velvet cake but he is no longer there and its not the same :(

Excellent food. Especially the Mac N cheese. Great fried fish. Made to order & made quickly. But the girls serving the food… They have three speeds: Slow, stop & reverse. Only one on @ a time. But one is slower than the other. Their slow & don’t care attitude drops their score to 3 stars.
I hope the owner reads this & makes some changes. Been going there for years, and the service gets worse, rather than better.

Combination of Soul Food and Nigerian Food. Excellent food, good attitude and family friendly environment.
Just a note of caution you have to ask for the African menu separately if you need one since it’s not included in the regular menu.
